I'm a fan of not paying too much attention to the reviews and that you should read the book to see if you like it or not.

So I give you a recommendation as someone who, until the date of this comment, has read up to chapter 40: Turn off your brain when you read this and enjoy it.

It's ridiculous and bad that everyone around the MC is a girl and that the MC pretends to be researching magic and adds her daughters to her group and never thinks of a relationship. Also the system or whatever didn't feel very important.
Other than that, I loved how the magic worked.

Pretty random. It wants to be comedy, but just makes mc seem like idiot. Along with side characters. And there isn't real structure. MC is just constantly being pulled to react to whatever author throws at him.

Got to chapter 10. Wouldn't bother with with this. MC acts like naive idiot who has no grasp of any basic things. Despite the fact that we are told he is a reincarnated modern guy who was studying computer science at a pretty good university.

He tells some people he is a wizard, then is shocked that they suddenly treat him with shock, fear and suspicion, despite this being in an area where they don't even use currency. He himself was acting like that when his master first revealed she was a wizard, so idk why tf he would think this backwater place would be different.

Then, after that, a girl travelling with them comes up to him as he is using magic and kinda insults him/wizards a bit, then tells him he should instil fear into the mercenaries so that they will protect him later, which he then attempts to do straight away - by throwing a plate at a prostitute and telling her to wash it... when she spits on it to wash it (because the water back then was FULL of disease) he flips out on her and has a magical rage moment that I guess is supposed to come across as funny, but it just makes him look dumb. [Him deciding to cause fear in the mercs by making the prostitute wash his dishes was already stupid in the first place though, especially since he literally just finished washing them all himself.]

His behaviour doesn't come off as him being an introvert or socially awkward, but just completely lacking in the most basic of common sense. There's also weird sections praising Korea, like about half a chapter dedicated to praising kimchi vs the typical European/Mediaeval use of butter and salt on things.

The translation's pretty stiff, though that's par for the course for Korean novels, but the real kicker is the author launches into exposition dumps every time he introduces a new character or concept.

    2/5

Bogus reviews. 2/5 . No rhyme or rhythm. Just go with the flow. And stupidly naive MC.
