Orodan was an orphaned street rat who clawed his way to the county militia with hard work. However calamitous events unfold and draw him into events bigger than himself and Orodan's battle-loving disposition leads to a warrior's death for him. Only for him to wake up again on the day of.

In a world of skills, titles and blessings; a smart time looper would perhaps scheme, plan, amass equipment and allies. But not Orodan. If there's one thing he's good at it's stubbornly trying the same thing over and over again via brute force till it's done.

If a wall is in front, going around is not an option. Instead batter it with your head thousands of times till either the wall breaks or you do. And gain skill levels along the way. Collapse

To any1 like me who's dumb enough to not immediately read this thinking that there aren't enough chapters, my sincere advice would be to just do so.

Studying at the academy and tournaments are the two worst parts of any job, but trust me, you shouldn't stop reading at this stage. I advise you to just skip the boring parts and read The History of the Academy as quickly as possible to move on. You won't regret it.

Does anyone else dislike the dialogue in this? It’s common among most royal road novels.

It feels unnatural, like everyone talks the exact same.

I can never pinpoint why I can’t stand it

The reviews on RR are pretty funny. A whole bunch of guys complaining about realism. I’ll give this a 5/5 for the fun the first chapters gave but everything after he goes to the next continent feels pointless, he’s already basically the strongest in the world. I wish he grew much much slower so I could enjoy some more running into walls instead of talking.

I like the very short lives best

Do you actually believe that he is the strongest in the world in only a dozen chapters? The version of Orodan that left Inuan and fought the Eldritch Avatar gets stomped by hundreds, possibly thousands of beings in his world. Even now, in the current chapters, he is high up there, almost on par with the Eldtrich Avatar, he is still getting his ass kicked by beings from other worlds, pretty easily might I add.

Loop means "He is the most powerful at the point the loop have started"
As loop collapses time, it is literally a spell to became "The most powerful being in no time"
And since he also have an absurd level of talent, and the way system is made, it is a sealed deal.

I had some hope at the moment with gods, but death god was timely.

And as the eldritch god incident shown, there literally no danger to him whatsoever.
It is fine, as many regression novels have that.
"SSS-Class Suicide Hunter" is the best comparison.
But they a different, because "smashing through everything" is not a solution for presented problems.
Also - In Suicide Hunter, his power, is limited on each level, and he can't really grind indefinitely.
Because of that, he is forced to get help, what is obliviously problematic too.

It is the way it is done with all OP MC that are around - push danger in other lines.
Be it death of other people, mental damage (hello, metal resistance Lvl60), or any other type of suffering.

Stubborn skill grinder on other hand... It is a moment of getting stronger indefinitely, stretched in to a novel. Since goals are meaningless, and there no danger, all what's left is "Number crunch" experience.
Of getting stronger, killing gods, moving to the next level, killing outer gods, and etc.

If you think that is fun, sure.

What is also important, that it is a fake time loop novel, as it have a shell of regression, but nothing else.

        PS.
Of course the biggest problem is the ways mc is stupid in.
I am really impressed that he even understood to stay away from the soul correction.

Considering him just fumbling, and getting used to clear some mine, exposing his strength.

Here, world mission, was just dumped on him, and he accepted it without much thought.

Like really? Watching a dumb guy level up is fun?

    Rating: 8/10 (Excellent)
Plot Premise: Orodan Wainwright, the MC, finds himself in a time loop that resets every time he dies. Instead of using this advantage to scheme/learn secrets, he uses it to grind combat skill levels and create new skills (granted by the world's system) through death battles. He's an extremely stubborn warrior with infinite willpower who likes to brute force through every problem/enemy he faces without taking any shortcut/leveraging any weaknesses.
    Pros:
Excellent world building. Races such as dragons, pegasi, elves, drows, dwarves, goblins and other monsters are present in his world.
Power system is interesting as one's strength is related to the rarity, level and synergy between their combat skills.
    Characters are alright.
MC's infinite willpower and his way of gaining power by persevering through countless painful death battles against impossible enemies to learn skills is the core focus of the story and its done really well (I am not fond of reckless characters, however the rash MC of this story is growing on me cause he is well written).
The story is fast paced and the chapters are extremely lengthy (10K+ words/chapter).
    Cons:
MC proclaiming that he is in a time loop to everyone he meets is slightly irksome (although it does bring him a lot of benefits).
MC's aversion to magic is irrational (amended later).
    Dialogues are a bit short.

    Language: 8/10 (Excellent)
Vocabulary and the narrative are handled properly. Humor is properly represented and descriptions are concise. Could use proper line-breaks for scene changes.

This is an absolute banger, the mc is a meathead, but an unstoppable one.

He has a warriors spirit and conviction to defy death.
