After 100 chapters, the MC has accomplished nothing really. The beginning started off strong with the whole future thing, killing to get stronger, however he just stops trying to get personal strength, and starts relying to 3rd parties.
I've never seen a more worthless MC, other then Chen Yan (Roland) from Release that Witch. He's weak, never fights, doesn't take chances and a total coward. The banter with the Narrator is pointless dull and has lost its comedic value due to overuse. Such a disappointment in such a gem of a story idea.

I'd give it a solid 6 or 7. Pretty good, has flaws. I don't regret reading the MTL, but the tags are kind of misleading.

Initially it has a start that seems fairly standard. MC can travel to the future and return to the present, and can power up from killing monsters. So you would expect the standard theme of the book to be something like: go to the future -> kill monsters -> grab advanced technology -> go to the present -> use advanced technology to get resources -> repeat. And the MC would grow alongside the rest of humanity to eventually come out on top.

However, the story ends up taking a very different turn shortly (well, compared to the total length). Without spoilers, it becomes more Kingdom Building/Intrigue and less Action. So if you're looking for the MC to beat up monsters and keep growing stronger with a bunch of action scenes, those get more and more rare as the story continues. If you're looking for the MC to uncover secrets and use those secrets to his advantage, then you can look forward to that.

    Noteworthy cons:
    - As in most of these types of novels, the first few chapters suffer from extremely poor planning by the author. There are many elements that are later dropped/retconned because they don't really fit. It gets better later, although there are still a few elements that are basically thrown away without development.

    - Again as is common in these types of novels, a lot of side characters just end up kind of forgotten. It's somewhat understandable as the MC starts dealing with larger and larger issues, but a few of them are kind of jarring. Most notably his teacher, who just never shows up again after "joining the research department".
    - There is no concrete power scale, even up to the end of the novel. You never really know how strong the MC is compared to the average human, or how strong the enemies are. Near the end of the novel they try to justify this with "well, wars between races are like rock/paper/scissors, it totally depends on the matchup", but given the context of the rest of the novel and "strong races" vs. "weak races" it doesn't really make much sense that there would be no scale whatsoever.
    - Related to that, there are lacking battle scenes to really make you understand what sort of practical impact the MC is having by bringing back advanced technology/cultivation techniques/resources. It's just a one line "and humans were stronger" but no particularly detailed description. How are they stronger? And by how much? None of it is really explained.

    - A large portion of the later parts of the story are told from the perspective of random characters living and trying to adapt to the changed world he's created. I appreciate the sentiment of trying to cultivate the worldbuilding, but it is very dense. Those really should have been broken up and scattered around a bit instead of in one giant block. You'd probably forget the MC's name if they didn't keep referencing how much everyone looks up to him.

MC suffers from Superhero Syndrome or Savior Complex. He upholds justice, morality, and friendship. He is the Chinese version of a Marvel hero. This is the weakness of this novel. I will give a rating of 2/5 for this novel.
