It is twenty-two years before the Battle of Yavin, and the galaxy is at war.

Born to a not unimportant, not important planet in the Inner Rim, Rain never placed much thought into his future. After all, the galaxy is vast, and peaceful living should not be hard to find. Two decades later, armies are marshalled, and warships grace the stars, propelled aloft the wings of war.

Armed with the knowledge of nine movies, Rain is forced into joining the galactic conflict. On the losing side. Collapse

Yes and no. There is a lot of context that is implied that you know but most every thing you can look up. I think there is only like two or three original characters in the novel besides the MC. However, I still highly recommend reading even if you didn't watch the Originals, the author does a great job of making every character seem real for his story, not just a 2D characterization from the original.

Good story. MC is real human who was not super into Star Wars, basically watched the first 6 movies once and kinda remembers them.

Born on Onderon, he ended up in the CIS military when his planet declared for the Separatist cause.

As an outsider, he’s kinda “blank” in the force, force users can’t see him properly in the force, can’t precog path him, but he’s still affected by directed force abilities like being pushed.

Essentially, his abilities let him counter “plot armour”.

This is a bit of a complicated politics, strategist story. MC is not a fighter, but a commander, and tried to be a proper commander. He is sensible, retaining competent thoughts and actions while still being affected by the culture he grew up in during his second life.

For me, absolute 9/10 story. There aren’t many CIS stories, and 8 think there’s a lot of potential there.

    Story uses Legends continuity.

    Give it a shot
