The author became extremely lazy. I am shocked this is the same writer. I don't even need to bother writing a review because after they leave the starfield it's no longer the same book.

The only thing that runs this novel for me is the amount of women to the point I can’t even remember their names, I tend to read 5+ novels at a time and when I come back to them of course I’ll forget a name or two but I forget everything in this novel fr

I used to read this novel daily before as it was really good and unique cultivation novel, until around the arc where at this point, I was so fed up and tired not of the slow-paced storyline, but the forced plots coming upon the mc. I get it that but forcing every negative situation imaginable onto him has negative effects on the overall impact of the novel.

In contrast to the comments before mine, I don't hate the harem as much as they actually have dimensions with varied personality and own backstory on why they are linked with the MC. It's just that I really hated the fact that I, as a reader who reached hundreds of chapters, still can't feel that the MC is strong due to multiple problems that is constantly occurring and stacking to MC's situation even though that he non-stop solving those problems without rest since the first few chapters.

This is the first time that I liked but also hated a novel this much.

As other comments say the start of the novel is marked by unique MC and worldbuilding.
MC later turns into good-guy-harem-hunter.

Gets very cringe very fast after that. Plot is always forced in this novel and pulled out of author behind. There is plenty of foreshadowing but not in a way that MC uses resources proactively, rather finds random item or technique and clearly will get used later etc.

At first it makes u think that it is high quality when u see the subtle parodies of other trash tier CN novel, detailed cultivation system and solid world building. But then you realize author simply describes everything at long length but there is zero depth.

I still recommend reading (or also use text to speech browser extension on this site) until you want to drop it. Its not a bad binge for a couple days, after all if you are interested in this antihero/ evil MC cultivation novel, then you have very limited choice XD

There is so much I can say about things that make 0 sense in this novel, e.g. when it comes to alchemy how lazy author is. Or how much time is used to describe cultivation yet MC has zero good training arcs. Its basically all just long descriptions. If you expect things to be dynamic and MC to min max his benefits you will be very disappointed.

If u are a big fan of this novel and think I am saying bs u can argue with me about this, but I think anyone who reads this and pays attention with more than 3 braincell will see the truth of this authors fake-depth.

In this genre ("sinful MC", harem) if Grasping Evil (https://ranobes.top/novels/529479-grasping-evil-v812312.html) is 8/10 novel then this is a 4/10 novel. Its trash tier for quick binge and skim some chapters. But before I would rate it 5/10 I would give it 3/10. The biggest positive is that the world building is very interesting and author tries to do a lot of things. The negative is that if you trust author to execute on his complexity well, your lifespan will run out before that can happen.
