Chen Feng, of modern earth, had suffered bad luck since birth. After finding the legendary «lucky artifact,» his bad luck peaked and he became the only person killed in an earthquake. By a twist of fate, he found himself transmigrated into a different and magical world! A world much larger than earth. A world only partially explored due to the dangers within. A world where human civilization centered around genes. In this world, human beings possessed all sorts of abilities due to genetic fusion. Some went on to create world-changing technologies with their mysterious genetic abilities, while others went on to become undefeated genetic warriors with their combat genetic abilities. Wang Yao is extremely dislikable. Her entire character makes absolutely no sense, pure arrogance, attached to her useless family despite seemingly every reason to not be. Not the worst character ever by any means, but she is completely useless that the author just absolutely wants to give a more "interesting" story to than the MC himself.

What dango and yvkreddy said is correct, the villains never seem to die and always bounce back and annoy the mc and us even more.

Any time he walks outside his house a battle seems to take place, and coincidentally any place he goes the other characters are always there at the same time (again making more trouble for him).

For some reason the battles seem turned based, like one person powers up and the other just watches, or one person launches an attack and the other just watches. It is pretty ridiculous at times.

Good novel, only thing i got to say is that the last 200 chapters or so can be a struggle to read.

I started reading this after being infuriated by reading super god gene. The mc here is miles better than the mc of that novel. The power system felt miles better as well. Because of its openness there could have been plethora of interesting abilities which could have lead to good battles like those in LOTM. Unfortunately this is not all that explored except for the beginning. The mc takes a very uninteresting route. There are no combo abilities like those that the enemies possess. He excessively relies on his “luck” stone for his battle, but he is always short on luck. This leads to battles where the mc keeps constantly fleeing and the same enemies confronting the mc almost throughout the novel.

Infact the main cheat of the novel, the supposedly omniscient luck stone, the cheat of the mc and the device which the mc needs to use to get stronger is not utilised properly. It mostly is used in very uninteresting ways. It basically is only utilised as a deus ex machina device for whenever the mc is about to die. MC is a reagent producer which was a profession which is extremely compatible with his chest. It is also shown how using these reagents people could temporarily improve their powers tremendously. Yet after the arc reagents never show up. The mc never uses them. Neither did his enemies. They are essentially forgotten.

All of these are still forgivable if the arcs are interesting. Yet almost all arcs follow a simple pattern. The mc tries to accomplish something. It might be some inconsequential thing like trying to breakthrough or collecting some ingredient etc. But he always gets involved in some grand world destroying scheme of the villains. ALWAYS. The enemies also are always stronger than mc. Which basically leads to a long, boring cat and mouse chase. Finally the mc uses his luck aura to somehow escape. Repeat.

The only plus point is that the novel takes a purely comedic/lighthearted route. This makes all the above negative points bearable. The comedy works well and some jokes are truly funny. The initial premise despite not being utilised properly is still good.

it's full of cockroach enemies and never ending battles, it gets really tiresome at times. Still that author has a really good sense of humour and seeing the mc scam and bullshit people to death never gets old.

This novel is highly recommended. If you like a scheming MC or reading/watching the enemy fall into the trap or lies of the MC. The story have no harem which makes it so good. From commoner without a family to the strongest person in the world. Definitely recommended.

It's a great novel. The only downside is that the MC is a trouble magnet. Whenever the MC goes out, trouble will come to him. NO EXCEPTION. No f#cking exception to the point it becomes annoying.
