Journey of the Fate Destroying Emperor by LazySageDao

I just realized that I've been reading this novel for 3.5 years, haa.This author for me now stands next to GetLost,Er Gen,Cuttlefish That Loves Diving,I Can Fix Air-Conditioner.

(Technically my second rev now at ch 1144.) This novel is definitivly good, has relativly unique plot devs and is in general an interresting read. Yet its also plaqued by some minor things that stop it from ever making it a masterpiece[currently there arent any masterpieces among cultivation novels there are a few who are close and 1 which couldve been one yet there are none that are completed the only one i think that might become one is Beyond the Timescape/Outside of Time(read wuxiaworld version that is the masterpiece one) if the author doesnt fail the later parts of the novel like he did with his other novels it would be a masterpiece]and (in my opinion) a top(top is top 10) cultivation novel, like filler(random fights of side chars which dont affect nothing are filler, even if they can be interresting), random rescaling(only realy happend once yet i know it will happen atsomepoing again(likely))(what this means is that powers that do one thing/or are comparable to something suddenly dont work anymore because its higher level now/are weaker(obviously not done this obvious)), which is almost always bad writting), that it gets a bit tiresome in regards to having any expections for future developents/it became a bit stale by now(i feel like the author doesnt know where to go we almost dont know anything about what mc could do(to go to a higher realm or become stronger its almost always just thrown when needed(not terrible but annyoing regardless) not in a mystery way but just in a author didnt say way(not that worldbuilding is bad in general yet it suffers at quite a few parts), aswell as a terrible beginning(first 30 ch were trash compared to the rest) still something worth a read for most people(for once i agree with the people saying it becomes good afterawhile so read it regardless of the infierior beginning) if not nearly perfect id say the sites rating of 8,25/10 is quite acurrate (personaly 8-8,5 as a cultivation novel).[i dont know if it would enter my top 10 of cultivation novels but definitivly my top 15 out of like multiple 100 thats quite good(even tho it likely would barely be in top 20-25 if i include all novels ive ever read)(now that i think about it how the f do i have read that much maybe touch some grass and not just heavy weights in the gym 😑)]

This is my favourite cultivation novel.
I am waiting for it to stack 100 or so chapters to binge read it, so I decided to write a review.

Might be a bit spoiler-ish but nothing major.


Plot:
This story has something which till now I've not seen pretty much in any cultivation novel. MC has a pretty big background and top tier talent. (this is not a protagonist harvesting novel)
The lore is deep and there is a lot of foreshadowing. The stakes are comparatively low at the beginning but it shoots through the roof when a Chad of an antagonist comes.


Story:
The initial chapters were pretty rough so i deduced some points, but it gets way better after chapter 50.
It dragged a little
Overall the story is constantly satisfactory.


World building:
This is the best part of this novel. If I could, i would rate it beyond 5/5.

The major powers, forbidden realms, different tiers of world, contrast between mortals and cultivators are all very imaginative.

The concept of luck as a transaction value from heaven's will is pretty unique, along with the notion of karma as attacks.

The disparity between living conditions of mortals before and after Wang Wei becames is also something I'm seeing new.


The innovations is another W for this novel, while cars and trains are basic but the dream realm was something else entirely.

MC plans way ahead of developing the world after


MC:
He is pretty much how a modern world human would react in a cultivation world.
He doesn't do a slaughter fest just after reincarnation, but takes time to assimilate in the new world.

He uses as his main technique which isn't only for fights but has a great utility value which is pretty unique.

He uses his brain well and creates for intelligence purpose which was very effective in the story.


Side characters:
This is also something very new for me.
Most side characters in this novel can be MCs in their own story.

Most of MC's peers come from top powers of his world and all of them fight several minor realm above them.
They all have depth to their character and use hidden schemes too.

There are no young masters at all (which is kinda impossible due to MC's background).

And the main antagonist (till now) is the reason I rate this section 5/5.
MF was too OP. The crystal world ending was too shocking because of

There are minor mistakes here and there but overall it is good.



Conclusion:
Go read it you won't regret it.
