    That's why when reading till the end 700+ the chapter story doesnt lead to the novel ending, the author had health issues.

    But honestly the moment when Chi Tong appeared, the demon god, the story just went downhill for me 😩😢🤦🏼‍♀️

    Like all the hype for war? All gone. Everyone just pops up and demon god here demon god there 😢 All the characters that I loved during the war arc suddenly went off radar when that demon god was introduced 😢

    Great novel! There is however one big problem. Well… you should just basically just treat it as if the author suddenly dropped the novel halfway because that's what it feels like. (Problem with the ending)

    Hidden Gem. Classic weak to strong protag who has an enduring perserverance. It's got some really ruthless action, and good comedy. The love interest is strong, and the rival is a hilarious spin on the young master trope.

    1) The mc isn't the fat guy on the cover.
    2) Skip the 1st 2-3 chapters, because it's disjointed.

    TLDR The mc was a mortal and spiritual energy left the planet tens of thousands of years ago. A new source of elemental cultivation became the main method for power gain. The mc is one of a rare few sword cultivators, is a poor orphan, and spent 3 years becoming an elite tier murder hobo in a forest. He then joined a school where kids go to learn elemental cultivation. Typical cliche set up, I know. HOWEVER. It's a pretty good story, and has criminally low views for what it is.

    If you like something like My Disciples Are All Villains, than you'll like this one. Mc is a pragmatic ruthless individual. If you like edge, but dislike needless edginess for the sake of being edgy, than this one will satisfy you. I'm only 50 in, but this is my hot take.
