Record of a Thousand Lives일천회귀록

It was a great novel about the journey of a man who lost all hope to regaining hope and later achieve his goals.
The ending was ok too unlike most novels of this genre.

Review by chapter 50:

It’s a story about a man who has lost everything so many times. A shell, a husk of a man who has weathered storms for millenniums. His knowledge grants him so much and yet he lacks the most basic human emotions.

It might seem edgy at first but what this story really is is a story about a man rediscovering his love for
life when he finally understands the scarcity of it in his final 1000th life.

The events of his thousandth life will be special and nothing like he has ever seen. Join him on the story to defeat the demon lord, and if so, for the first and final
time.

At first, this novel seems bland, MC has a cold personality with ignorance to anything, mostly like robot. However, over time, MC got enough character development for me to continue this novel.
The plan was, MC wanted to keep reincarnating until the Demon King was weak enough (MC found that every time he reincarnated, the Demon King got weaker).
However, in his 1000th life, he was told by a certain entity that this would be his last.
From there our MC begins to gradually change to become more 'human', he will also regain his passion in life and is determined to be stronger than before, because 'this is the last time' he will meet his friends and loved ones.
So, this is a pretty good novel and worth reading. Don't listen to people who stopped reading in the first chapter because they were consumed by their own predictions. Just read at least until chapter 50.

It was a thorough disappointment. He got f#cked for 999 lives but still thinks reasonably and that's the most absurd thing about this book. Author had no idea how to present the character. A person who has lived same life for 999 times would never question himself but mc does on multiple occasions it's absurd.
And personally mc is a pushover the way he is presented it doesn't feel like he's even trying his 100%.
