Normally, if you make a series of reckless decisions, eventually the consequences come, so you could learn from your mistakes. But that's clearly not the case here.

Started out well enough with an mc that has his sole focus on getting stronger, Mid way he hits a road block, as apparently all resources are actually controlled by the elite and he is forced into signing a contract, not a magical one or anything like that, to gain access to these resources.
He didn't show his full abilities so he didn't sign a strict contract, only a loose one that is actually ti his liking...
Then he is given all these tasks that makes zero sense and he has all right to refuse, but as the MC he has to complete all of them because he doesn't want his litral slavers to look down on him.
Naturally he is suspected and given even harder tasks that he completes... then he is betrayed and sold for someone else to dig his secrets. Then he litrally walks into even deeper trouble and goes into servitude to another slaver to fight a boss that is like twice his level or something in exchange for his help.
Now I dropped the novel here with the main take that, the MC is ab idiot, that doesn't realise he is one.
He goes into every thing with his head first having the mentality of someone new to cars who's asked if he can drive... he answers: I don't know...
Bitch, how do you not know? It is either you can or you can't!
IDK! Maybe if I try it I could turn out to be able to drive!
He arrives at a city with very SUS rules, and is reminded of how SUS it is several times before he enters, but he waits till he is almost inside the enemy's lair after he pissed them off and now with leteral target on his back to say: Oh, maybe I need to figure out some information about this city...
Did I mention that it is that enemy with twice his level at the very least?
And did I mention that this enemy has "an agreement" with people who aren't even close to his level, remember not magically binding, when he was weakened and after almost two years he is still letting them love on in his domain killing a good quarter of his subordinates?
And we don't know the details because the MC jumps head first without knowing any information about this "Dark One" just because his new slaver wasn't lying to him when told him, trust me you will know when the time is right!
Lay down your life for my rule for absolutely no reason... and I'll tell you when the time is right.
No reason? YES, NONE WHAT SO EVER!!!
You see all this time our MC is gathering some OP abilities that he can use to precticaly be at the top of the world in mere months.
    IN MERE MONTHS...
But no, he has to be a know it all that no one could look down on.
Well, how would they not look down on you... IF THEY'RE FUCKING RIDING YOU???

    ...
At the end of the day you I find my self coming back to these magical words by (Al-Khalil bin Ahmed)...

    There are four men:
    - A man who knows and knows that he knows, he is knowledgeable, follow him.

    - A man who knows and does not know that he knows, he is oblivious, wake him up.

    - A man who does not know and knows that he does not know, he is ignorant, teach him.

    - And a man who does not know and does not know that he does not know, he is a fool, avoid him.
And in another narration, he is a donkey, ride him...

this instead actually made me want to read it again for some reason..

i stopped after i reach my goal XD
and i checked here from time to time to see if tl stops, but surprisingly its quite consistent..
i think i understand some of what you're saying... one interesting character i find is that person in charged with the organization and fully equipped with overpowered accessory gears.. even tho the mc passed all the test, that guy definitely knows something fishy is going on with the mc... and tries to put mc on difficult missions but ended up completing anyways swindler
like that first which is meant to be impossible, as in zero chance whatsoever haha.. i think it was instead meant to hinder the mc and the guy was probably confused asf oru2x

i wonder what chapter u stopped? i checked some of the later chapters some time back and it seems mc become independent and operating solo which is quite interesting

but less than 500ch is stil too short for my tastel

I hate to put something not related to a specific book on its comments page. But I really want to find a books name.
1: mc of book has a stone that can help him make his first contract pet, but mc's enemy uses a group to take it and try to kill mc.
2: mc manages to contract bird while using it to escape the crocodile.
3: mc finds cave guarded by hundreds of birds. Inside cave is a bloodline fruit that has a storm eagle bloodline that he gives to his bird.
4: mc has help from his eagle to distract a group of foxes so he can contract one with nine tails bloodline.
5: I believe the mc also has a system.
Any help finding this book would be much appreciated.

It was a good novel up to chp 100 then shit hit the fan fights began to take 30+ chapter and the writer just outright adds a new mechanic that takes the leveling system and shitts all over it. And everything the mc achieves through his extreme suffering “ if he didn't try to solve every problem by repeatedly slamming his head into it” the get in a fraction of time on a silver platter.

ratings here are unreliable with measly 20 people.. and with very biased readers... at least try to reach ch140 and see if it interest u..
edit: or ch45 for some peace of mind XD

there is something interesting at ch133, so i stop there and i decided to properly read this from start

to add, the novel is actually not bad with enough satisfying progression... the mc is just a normal dude and not some reincarnator or the type that caters to the readers on how they wanted their mc to be.. what he lack is experience which is normal for his age imo..

Oh yeah an IMPORTAN NOTE: inspect skill exist here and mainly used by some higher ups.. so in a certain sense its impossible to hide mc's skills..
the good thing is that by the time he has to do this, is that he already had a lot of skills including the abiltity to hide and edit his status.. they probably never expect mc to have this and upgraded as well, it wont work on normal skill.. so he kinda succesfully fooled them

Ranobes readers and royal road readers were basically the same kind of people. They act like they know everything bla bla bla, basically they were all arrogant fools who think they're hotshits just because they read in a site other than webnovel.

It's unreliable to check the ratings here as they always rate perfectly normal works to a low rating.

What's funny in this site though is that if a novel includes harem or other degenerate stuff they rate it higher lol.

I personally feel like ratings on here are a lot more generous than RR but u also have to keep demographic in mind. Although there’s a ton of overlap smth that would top the charts here might be like 2 stars on RR and vice versa
