This novel is about tug of war

Got around 20 chapters in, so not very far, but also more than just a surface impression:

The story has many time jumps going back to a past, an alternative timeline etc and I had a very hard time keeping track of things. It doesn't start off that way, but once you get properly introduced to the characters it just keeps happening and at this point I just have no clue, what timeline I am in. Where I am at etc.

Maybe it's just the translation not being able to translate proper time cues over, but not a fan.

I won't comment on the content of the story, seeing as I just barely got started. Just wanted to share my pain and warn people about this convoluted timething.

As usual, there will be drama where the mc misunderstood fmc but they won't talk it out. It will drag on and tired readers feeling

Is this gonna be one of those stories where the guy treats her badly for years but suddenly becomes nice when she wants to leave? Cause those stories disgust me especially since the author uses plot armor to make their relationship work out of nowhere
