[Summary:]

While the story depicted a Modern Cultivation World, and do possess some Martial Arts, it is rather akin to how a MC of some novels has a GF yet the story is not a Romance. The fundamental of this novel is mostly about how a weak and ordinary chinese boy, after gaining the power to travel to another parallel world, eventually manage to leverage his uncontrollable power, to develop his own Organization, and reach the top of the food-chain.

[Setting:]

The story started with the MC inadvertently falling under the grasp of an Alpha Female Empress, and how he must constantly prove his own value in order to preserve his life. The major part of the novel is centered about the MC's Otherworldly Life surrounding the Empress, and his Original Life on Earth. The premise of this novel was actually quite interesting (involuntarily under the grasp of an Alpha Empress), so was the ability of the MC (travel between both worlds); unfortunately, the oftentimes unwise misuses of his power was rather unappealing.

[Plot:]

The Plot of this story is vertically linear: where the MC climb the steps of power, little by little, while disproportionally increasing his own pridefulness. The mixture of sub-plots is often unskillfully done, and give the reader a negative sense of incongruity.

[Characterization:]

The Characterization of this novel is rather standard, and mostly focus on superficial descriptions of the numerous characters, including the MC. The Romance can be sometimes childishly funny, yet nevertheless quite shallow; and the character dynamics are sometimes overly ridiculous. The MC, like many other C-LNs, has a penchant and positive bias toward females.

[Writing Style:]

The author has an ordinary style of writing, and enjoy adding numerous disruptive References of all kinds.

[Tone:]

The author demonstrate an obvious self-centric patriotism, —which means that the nationalism tendency becomes strong... only after the MC ensure his own interests— though, quite different from some other chinese trash-novels, the author did not do so while needlessly insulting other countries, demonstrating a certain degree of polit...ical awareness.

[Mood:]

This story start with tensions —in a good way— but then lost it as soon as the MC gained more power and authority. And then, the story became sub-standard: sometimes overly comedic (arrogance), sometimes exaggeratedly ridiculous. (Ex: The MC was initially very careful, but then, once his safety ensured, he started making random and thoughtless decisions that destroyed his previously smart and careful character, only because some random character had displeased him for a trivial reason.)

[Strongest Points:]

- The Beginning. To be honest, the story started very good, with lots of tensions due to the requirement for the MC to preserve his own life, and the fact that most of his decisions was quite appropriated due to his circumstance.

- ... A good Beginning?

[Weak Points:]

- Good Start, yet Bad Continuation. The story started Great, but continued poorly. Specifically, after the MC lost the threat toward his own life, gained enough position and power, and then suddenly becomes like most C-LNs where the MC is on a immature power-trip.

- The self-centric MC. Once the MC became needlessly supercilious, the story suddenly became proportionally more terrible. Ex: 1) The MC ruined the life of an innocent girl, simply because she looks the same as his own wife. 2) Knowing that his own subordinates do not possess bright minds, the MC will still Task them, and then complaint about the obviously poor results of those simply, loyal men. 3) The MC could kill someone innocent, merely because he was, somehow, a tiny-bit related to the enemy. 4) The MC could make some very irrational and wasteful decisions, despite always complaining about the lack of resources. 5) The MC could randomly decide to becomes enemy with someone... simply because that person's branch-company had issued an advertising on the net, which had somehow proved to be indirectly detrimental to the MC.

- Disruptive References. While I do not personally enjoy, nor dislike references; the way it was done in this novel was rather invasive. It somehow gives the reader the impression that the author is overly trying to demonstrate how cultivated he is, when in fact, (while this could be true) readers like me, was waaay more annoyed by the needless interruptions. Why not put those at the bottom then? Some part that could have been quite funny, couldn't even make me laugh, simply because of the sudden appearance of some absolutely necessary and critical explanations.

[Conclusion:]

- The novel started with very interesting premises, (under the Empress' command — Translocation between 2 worlds) yet deliver a poor continuation.

- The story sometimes gives me the feeling that the author wrote stories of his fantasizing, rather than his fantasy story.

- Some parts of the plots were quite alright (ex: kingdom building), while other parts were very unreasonable. (ex: MC's sometimes random actions and reactions) The real problem, is when both are mixed, and there is this weird sense of incongruity. (Ex: a war is coming, (we should be tense, right?) yet a sub-plot pop out where the MC dude goes shopping or something, while randomly sending brainless1-2 for a so-called major mission... and then, wonder how the task could possibly have failed...)

[Verdict:]

The Story started quite promising, yet continued poorly. Though this is only my personal opinion after reading from C0-C950. It first created some expectations... yet the promising parts came in a very disappointing way. The only praise-worthy aspect is the rather well depicted mixt of Modern Cultivation World. While I can't consider this Good, this novel is by no means Bad, and doesn't deserve to be labelled as a C-LN Trash-Novel. Read this at your own expense... you're gonna lose money anyway.

PS: [Unrelated to Review]

Someone once told me that the author of this novel was the same as the one who wrote the Eldest Daughter Was Reborn... Honestly, I find it hard to believe! The Eldest Daughter Was Reborn much steadier and tasteful compared to this one.

75 chapter in and it's unexpectedly good so far, im lazy to write a review so just wanted to state my opinion
will update this if i don't forget.
edit: 178 chapter in and it went from 4,5/5 to 3/5 for me, many generic xianxia stuff happening. not dropping yet but i might if it doesn't pick up soon.
edit: 350 chapter in..... well, it did kinda pick up and is not generic anymore but- in the weirdest way possible. i'll change it from 3/5 to 3,5/5 just bcuz it's smth new and ig readable.

How is romance progressing? Did they kiss?

Don't read. It was interesting in the beginning nut with time the racist MC came to the surface. He brought white man to the other world and introduce them as wild aliens. Pyscophath.

Beside his ability to travel between the two worlds, the MC didn't have anything special, yet he was so arrogant and lawless when he was in his original world just because he already had a [lace on the otherworld. The MC thought that as long as he had the empress's as his backing, he was invincible. Although, the title had already said everything, I can't just hel but feel irritated by the MC!

Stopped at chapter 40 cause of boreness but 40 chapters are too short for a review but if you still want to know how things will go in these 40 chapters here it is..
Random dude got sent in other world and was about to get beheaded cause he appeared in front of them out of nowhere, he will lick the empress feet to save his ass( there is no emperor ) and after almost getting beheaded by her multiple times he will start working for her. The Mc can change world after some times so he will use that to his advantage in both worlds, the empress is the cold type (like always...) didn't read the rest but if you look at the tags you can pretty much say that after getting almost killed by the empress and used by her they will eventually become a couple, got kids and reign together. When it come to action... Well... In these 40 chapters there were no action but it might change... Maybe...( It still a fantasy story but the fantasy part isn't really so fantasist... Some cream to heal faster,stronger animals and the experts in that world can be killed pretty easily in our world but its only the start maybe we will see stronger people and more incredible things )
Sincerely it is a pretty good novel for those who love this genre, not a fan of it but would've been interested if he was keeping resentment against the empress who almost killed him thrice, but none of it were shown even when he was thinking of his situation ( you can resent someone without showing it btw) so it was a pretty big letdown for me, there is no person who would not keep even the slightest resentment when you tried to kill him cause you've nothing better to do.
Anyway if you're not a fan of this genre better skip this one sleeping might seems more entertaining
