    Read this novel 3 years ago and reached 700 + chapters before calling it quits, I was new to reading xianxia novels, read them many novels to the point of developing a repulsion to the whole genre (mainly because of typical overly arrogant and ruthless attitude of MCs with no flexibility, trash as f#ck side characters , female characters with no individuality and eager to suck MCs dick, rinse and repeat plot and storylines) . Still the best read when it comes to Xianxia novel for me.

        Its the adrenaline when reading those moments like certain fight scenes, mind games or just good old face slapping that just pops up in your head whenever you see or remember the novel. Atleast that's my reason especially when I don't see it for months.

            I guess its because I really enjoy those specific novels or sometimes when I just want a breather from reading novels with too much info. Most of the time I do it when I haven't read it for half a year to years just like when a new anime season/movie is released for a specific series you'll most likely want to refresh your memory especially when its been a really long time. Lastly because I already know the events I won't be anxious about good characters who suddenly die for "character development" but hey that's just me there's lots of novels out there to read just have fun hunting those you like boast .

            I get that but have you ever watched the same tv show multiple times? If you have then it's just the same thing. Usually for me, ill be reading shit over and over again and then i think damn, i really wish i had something like x and then the next thing i know im rereading a story. I have read top tier providence twice and maybe i can read it one more time. I cant read this story multiple times but there are a couple of scenes i can do like Jasmine disciplining those sword people

    Since the TL seems to have stopped on Ch1926 I decided to read the available MTL and holy f#ck it is aggravating. It makes me realise that Yun Che isn't the MC of this story at all.. he's just a marionette that's been forcefully pushed into this position by someone else. This is one of the few novels I've read where it's genuinely difficult to even like the MC.



    If this doesn't have another twist that makes it less shit, this novel is pure trash to me.. not that it was ever particularly amazing - it was just one of the first xianxias I ever started and so I have an attachment to its story progression.

    The more I think about it, the more I think that Yuanba should have been the f#cking MC. in the MTL, Yun Che says:
    Remember one thing: you have never owed anyone anything, but this world owes you too much.
    and it's so true. Yuanba took the biggest L in this entire story.

    And now after Ch1936 it turns out that "outer worlders" have appeared - probably God race remnants. This is likely the last arc. My guesses are that the progenitor goddess will fully awaken at some point even if only temporarily, Qingyue might somehow make a reappearance, Jasmine will rock up, Shen Xi will rock up and Yun Che will break the barriers to Divine Master and embrace the power of nothingness reaching to be an existence on par with the progenitor goddess.

      If we goes with your logic any MC with system isn't a real MC(without the system he is nothing), any MC with a big background isn't real MC(his talents are given by his parents), any MC who get a fortuitous encounter isn't a real MC(without that lucky encounter he is nothing)... whenever there is a system there will be something or someone who selected the MC (at least whenever the author explain the system origine) the same goes for the other examples... in this case since Yun Che was the chosen one then what?? bro it doesn't make a sense for you to say that without the progenitor goddess he is nothing... (I actually dropped it around 1400 chapters, I understand what you said but I still don't agree)

        Basically, the 'blessing' that Yun Che got from the Ancestral Goddess was more OP than any CHEAT or SYSTEM novel. I can understand the discontent of the man above.

        Mars makes many readers feel cheated. MCs from other novels generally have a SYSTEM from the beginning of the story. While ATG makes us think that Yun Che's adventures are extraordinary, until finally we know that all his achievements are just a PRIZE from the Ancestral Goddess.

          Just his talent. Anything he else with that same talent might not have made the same journey. Would not have met the sword kids or become the heir of the evil god- which is what saves them from that demon lady(forgot her name)

          Even without the talent he got from his aunt, we still believed him to have gotten outside help- it was just his previous life memories and skills given to him by the poisoned girl.

            you are wrong, man. the reason I said the above is because all of YC's encounters (adventures, inheritance & people she meets are arranged by the Ancestral Goddess). Simply put, he didn't do anything. His entire life path is a plot concocted by others. It was for that reason that Xia Qingyue was created.

            lmao… to be honest, without his little aunt's help, Yun Che would have died twice already. so, there won't be any adventure you talk about. Read again the novel from chapter 1.

            The novel's formula is very simple: YC without Little Aunt = no ATG.

              If his aunt had simply let him die, she would not have regained enough power in time to fight the invaders.

              In that way, it’s better than other wixia novels, which has one guy who is responsible for everything.
              Here, it’s always been multiple people supporting the mc, who could not have gotten where he did without all the support.
              Even before we knew about his aunt’s sacrifice, even before we knew that his wife took on all the bad luck to balance out his good, we kept seeing him being saved or supported by others.

      Well, we can just assumed that mc carry the will of Creator of all beings and He may somehow surpassed this Creator too. Most of the Mc of Novels Carry this Big shot will or heavens favour or Luck. This is a given one. As for the Yuanba... We feel sad because he's not in Villain character... If he was, most of us will feel nothing.... What i mean is Most of the talented or heaven blessed physics died In MC's hand or Villain's hand in most novels...       … you do realise that almost all mc’s in wuxia novels start off weak with nothing, until something/someone gives them something to make them strong.
      While it is true that he was meant to die at 16, and was saved by his aunt, that does not make him any less of an MC.

      Without him, their whole dimension would have been destroyed when that First Lady came before his betrayal.
      It was his journey, which no one else would have taken that brings him in contact with her children and makes him the heir of her lover. It’s that which moves her , and makes her sacrifice herself to save their dimension.
