“Of course!” the other holy beasts nodded in agreement.

Then, with heavy hearts, they departed.

Only Azure Dragon remained in the East Sea, vigilantly monitoring the marine domain.

Just one day later, the water demon beast was reborn.

Before it could react, the Four Holy Beasts immediately surrounded it and launched an assault.

In less than the time it takes for an incense stick to burn, the water demon beast was riddled with wounds.

Then, it was tightly coiled by Azure Dragon’s massive body, unable to move.

Azure Dragon demanded, “Speak. What is your name, and from which world do you come?”

The water demon beast only roared in response.

Vermilion Bird pressed, “Who sent you? What is your purpose here?”

The water demon beast roared again.

Black Tortoise threatened, “Don’t think about hiding the truth or lying. We have many methods we haven’t used yet! If you don’t cooperate, we’ll have to resort to different measures, very harsh and violent ones!”

The water demon beast continued to roar.

White Tiger warned, “Stop roaring. Believe it or not, I can make you vanish from existence?”

The water demon beast roared yet again.

The Four Holy Beasts: “…”

“Stop asking for now! It’s clear that this creature hasn’t learned its lesson and remains defiant! Now, let me teach it a lesson. Azure Dragon, entangle him!”

Azure Dragon roared and coiled its body tightly around the beast.

Then accidentally, he strangled the newly reborn water demon beast to death.

“How could you kill it, Azure Dragon? We hadn’t gotten any information yet!” the three holy beasts questioned.

Azure Dragon sheepishly smiled: “My apologies, my friends. It had just been reborn and was at reduced strength, so I accidentally crushed it! But no worries, according to his recovery speed, he will be alive again by the second day, and we can interrogate him then!”

On the second day, as expected, the water demon beast was reborn.

Just as it had grown a new head, Azure Dragon coiled around it once more.

Azure Dragon demanded, “Speak. What is your name, and where do you come from?”

Water Demon Beast: “Roar roar roar!”

Vermilion Bird: “Who sent you here? What is your purpose for coming here? What are you trying to do?”

Water Demon Beast: “Roar roar roar!”

Black Tortoise: “Is it us you’re after? Do you want to dominate this world? Let me tell you, don’t even think about lying. We have many methods we haven’t used yet! If you don’t cooperate, we’ll have to resort to violence!”

Water Demon Beast: “Roar roar roar!”

White Tiger: “Stop roaring. Can you do anything other than roar?”

Water Demon Beast: “Roar roar roar!”

Four Holy Beasts: “…”

The Azure Dragon, angered, once again subdued the opponent.

The interrogation continued on the third day.

And again on the fourth day.

Over and over, the Water Demon Beast felt so wronged it just wanted to cry.

What kind of karma had it brought upon itself?

It had finally been released from its seal, ready to have a good time and vent the anger of being imprisoned for so many years, only to be beaten half to death by some mysterious powerhouse and end up here.

Just when it had recovered, it was targeted by these four strange creatures.

Then, they killed it over and over again.

All it wanted was to live. Was that so wrong?

Even if it was wrong, what exactly had it done to make everyone reject it so?

It hadn’t done anything at all!

“I think it’s probably because it’s not intelligent enough to understand the cause and effect of the situation, so it can’t answer our questions,” Black Tortoise concluded with a frown.

“Roar roar roar…” the Water Demon Beast nodded repeatedly.

Finally, someone understood its feelings. It wasn’t easy.

Vermilion Bird felt a chill in her heart: “This must be deliberate! The hidden hand behind the scenes doesn’t want to reveal their motives and whereabouts, so they’ve thrown this monster at us! The mastermind is meticulous and keeps a low profile!”

The other Holy Beasts nodded in agreement, feeling wary in their hearts.

“Since we can’t get anything out of it and this monster is clearly useless, what do we do now, kill it?” White Tiger asked.

“But we can’t kill it… It’s a headache…” Azure Dragon said, troubled.

He had already killed it several times, and each time, it came back to life with full of vigor, leaving him without a solution.

Yet, it stayed in his Eastern Sea, so he couldn’t just ignore it.

“I do have a method!”

Black Tortoise said: “Since we can’t kill it, let’s freeze it! Without access to water, it won’t be able to recover!”

“But ordinary ice probably won’t hold this monster!”

Black Tortoise continued: “With the power of heaven and earth, there should be no problem. Please assist me!”

Thus, the Four Holy Beasts combined their powers and encased the Water Demon Beast in a massive block of ice.

This ice block, blessed by the power of heaven and earth, would not dissolve in water nor melt in fire and was also indestructible.

To break the ice and rescue the Water Demon Beast, one would have to break the combined power of the Four Holy Beasts, a feat only an Earthly Immortal could achieve.

And so, the bustling Eastern Sea finally became peaceful.

During this mess, Lin Beifan was secretly watching them.

He gained a deeper understanding of the methods of the Four Holy Beasts.
