Why are there no more updates? It's been 7 months

In case anyone was wondering why the chapters are out of order (16 is the latest as of right now), the translator said near the start that some chapters contain spoilers and that the author has said that they shouldn't have been posted when they were in the story. It seems that they've decided to upload these chapters now.
Chapter 16 does contain parts that would spoil the few chapters after it, but it's probably safe to read it 20-30. Alternatively, it serves as a pretty good reminder on what happened near the start if you read it in the order here.

Can barely tell who's speaking, keep having to guess. And the story is like an explanation rather than a tale.

It's pretty good but I find it difficult to follow and stay focused on it for some reason?
