I generally do not like cultivation novels. I don't enjoy the most common tropes seen in them, like arrogant young masters, face slapping, wiping out families and clans over small slights, murdering people to steal their wealth or their women, etc. The typical cultivation world is a horrible dystopia filled with irredeemably evil people.

Thanks to the MC's system, he was able to mitigate and somewhat avoid many of those tropes. It's similar to how Top Tier Providence handled the genre. It even included a rule that the MC will be rewarded for living a casual life and regularly gave him ways to mitigate external threats.

I think when the novel started losing me is when living a casual life stopped being important to the MC's growth but started becoming a hinderance. Of course it would be boring if the MC always remained too passive. I don't mind that he came out and took a more aggressive stance on some issues. But once this MC became strong enough he also started becoming an arrogant young master.

The novel tries to present him as someone who is heroic and principled, but he acts in a way that's vicious and volatile. He won't hesitate to murder people over the smallest slights. He escalates conflicts unreasonably, causing massive chaos that often indirectly leads to the deaths of millions or billions of innocents. He threatens to wipe out entire clans and even entire species of creatures if one of their own becomes his enemy.

Of course, he always has a "legitimate excuse" for doing these things: it's those people who targeted him first so he's totally justified in overreacting. Right? But he's also often the instigator by doing things that will obviously piss others off, with the arrogance that he knows he'll get away with it. And he's also a massive racist. (In this case, his racism is targeted at non-humans. He's extremely hostile against every species or group that isn't human. He's not racist against other ethnicities of humans because, conveniently, there aren't any other ethnicities. Every human in this multiverse is unambiguously Asian, as are all the other living creatures in it). He treats all non-humans with contempt and heightened aggression, and happily tells them he thinks of them as food, which leads to many of the conflicts he gets into.

. For those who like novels with mc a lot of op that never loses, this novel is very good.

I liked it a lot, the ending is not bad.

but it's pretty bullshit and pointless.

after getting out of the great dao they go to the blue star (earth) where they say it's amazing because they can taste again and feel the flavors of food and touch the contact of each other's skin.

but that's a lot of bullshit, the novel never said that cultivators lose these things.

but it gets to the last chapter and says that only on earth do they feel the flavors of food and the pleasure of sex?

this doesn't even make sense, since the whole novel was them having sex and mc cooking amazing and tasty food

they continue with their cultivation, but are sealed on Earth, but their bodies remain indestructible and immortal.

they can also return to the cultivation world whenever they want

another stupid thing is that the cultivation world has had trillions of septillions of ages and every septillion years, this has been said more than once, but then the place above the great Dao and Earth? a mortal place not even a thousandth of that number.

It's pretty pointless, but other than that the ending makes no sense, it was still a good ending, and I really enjoyed the rest of it.

Im just pissed off to his indecisive nature and wtf happen to her junior sister being so lustful and please if you're not gonna put a girl into the harem please don't make the mc fantasize about f*cking her and all thats just messed up
