I usually don't write reviews but damn this MC so retarded my blood is boiling. Atleast the ending was fine but if given another choice I wouldn't read this one ever again.

This is one sold 3/5 rated novel and mc is one of the stupidest mc even even the mention of his intelligence can disgust you the only fun part is the first 150 to 200 chapter was acceptable but since the first harem member and mc is an idiot being controlled that you start hating him and all the girls, basically you jumbled from a bitch to a bitch there is only 2 girls that really worthy of mc and they don't have much focus the rest is all bitchiest of the bitchiest and the only redeem factor is the ending is acceptable but the rest of the novel is blood pressuring from how stupid plots can get, for me I'm happy and sad in the same time happy that i survived till the end and sad that i started reading it since i don't quit halfway so i had to stick with all the bullshit till the end, glad it ended so my fellow reader be prepared if you read it or better run for your life while you can

Ok... if anyone reads after chapter 54 pls tell me if the mc is still acting like a young master? If not lets continue becuz untill the time skip the story was good

What is this?
This novel is a reborn as a baby in another world, xianxia, progression fantasy with a fully fleshed-out MC and supporting characters (for the most part).

What's the story?
The MC is reincarnated in a mountain village where he learns that the teachings about dao in his past is one of the basis for cultivation in this one. Due to his past, he is able to quickly learn and cultivate with only knowledge about cultivation itself barring his development.

After years in the village, our MC finally heads to the capital to take the examination to become an officer, and there start his journey, albeit unwillingly.

Who is this for?
If you like MCs that are clever and reasonable then you should give this a try. It's also pretty comedic but most of the comedy comes from the MC's shamelessness (mocking others). I personally like this type of comedy so it's all good for me.

Criticisms?
This is near-publish quality, but the problem with these types is that they probably don't get the benefit that published novels get. The story as a whole could use a bit of tightening and the plot could be less "author-driven".

Another problem is that the MC is usually in the back-foot. Here's the thing about "normal" MCs, I personally find them okay, after all most of us are normal so we can relate to normal people. In fact, I find bloodthirsty MCs that automatically go murder-hobo the moment they breath isekai air as weird. So even when an MC refuses to kill and knows full well the consequences of that action, it's fine. After all, they knew what they were doing.

The problem then comes when it's no longer bordering on "normal". When someone keeps trying to kill you and you keep not doing your best to kill them OR incapacitate them, then that's weird.

Another thing to point out is that the MC wants a peaceful life but he keeps getting dragged into these schemes and plots AND IT MAKES SENSE but only up to a point. For example, he says he wants to join this military test because he wants to make sure that his friend is going to be okay since something is going to happen there. . . so why didn't he just join his friend's camp immediately. He had to go around the place solo and got captured by the enemy instead of directly going to his friend.

Conclusion
The bad parts aren't that bad tbh, but your millage may vary. I am fine with the parts I don't like and definitely needed more time for editing because I could just skip them, after all, the novel is finished.

Overall, it's a REALLY good novel that I suggest people try. I'm not kidding when I said that it's near publish quality, but it comes with all the problems that published novels have and more since it didn't receive enough time for editing.

Definitely belongs in the top 2% of web novels.

mc is soo funny

Good novel, the mc is funny with his shamelessness and the characters are likable too. As long as you can get past the beginning where he hides his powers since he’s too young (I almost dropped it at that point but I skipped ahead a little bit and decided to go on since the annoying part was only like 30 chapters if I remember right), and as long as you don’t mind face slapping novels where people get stunned easily, you’ll like this. Ending is kinda rushed but it’s still an ok ending.
