True Martial World真武世界 • Zhen Wu Shijie

Very predictable novel. You know the plot turns 10 - 20 chapters in advance at the latest. Its mostly about jerking off to MC while also teasing harem and having constant stream of weaker or about to be faceslapped side characters. Time spent cultivating is equally matched with time spent holding back his strength. He never lacks any cultivation resources due to his cheat he only has to worry not to cultivate too fast so that he has a solid foundation. Actually having lived 2 lives he can comprehend anything as well. He apparently has to hold back all the time because otherwise it would be too shocking...

MC is passive type, things happen around him randomly and MC is guaranteed to benefit.
You get the idea XD. If you like to read that kind of stuff every few pages for a hundred times (legit) then enjoy.
Complete breakdown of any logic happens around chapter 290+ if you really have nothing else to binge u can still do with this until then I think. Although even for hardcore binger like me it was a chore and mostly text to speech.

since this is popular and the author's second work, it cant be rated higher than C tier but just to call it trash is also fine. But lets not be too harsh since I think its around 2015 release, taking that in to account its reasonable to see so many people have good feelings about it.

W novel

This one is solid, but it is not as good as the prequel. Definitivly worth a read if you liked the prequel, even tho it has some problems and things that are annoying.

One of my first novels (cultivation), have to give it a good review

Dropped it when I dived into this world of infinite imagination.

Okay after 800 chapters I think I can give an intial review. Number one, this novel is good and if you just checked this out before even reading martial world and you think martial world is too long this is relatively shorter and you don't need to read marital world first to read this. Which leads into the first thing I like and dislike, which is that TMW seems to be a whole different universe/reality? MW was set in one of the 33 heavens but in TMW there are only 12 heavens and also scattered lower worlds of course. The differences between settings aren't too much as of now other than differences in the cultivation path, which is my biggest complaint as of yet. Fellow readers of MW can tell you Lin Ming is an absolute beast for doing all that he did, even with the cube/stone of eternal life he was a truly great character who struggled, fought with everything, and even to reach the peak. Comparatively Yi Yun and other humans seems to have taken easy mode, like sure desolate beasts are dangerous and other cultivators are dangerous but that's a given, I'm talking about the cultivation realms which really aren't much to talented people without realms like life destruction or lightning tribulations (maybe not sure yet) and their path is basically a blueprint of what Lin Ming used with the heretic tree but they must use their own dao as a tree but it's better than walking in the dark. The plot of TMW itself is pretty good and it has more comedy moments than MW like people getting bricked which at this point I miss, or just regular face slapping. TMW gets a neutral score for the relationship because even though it's not a harem at this point his wife/dao companion is just silent and obedient but hopefully with what happened recently she will become better. I think the "home planet" arc of MW is way better than TMW, as Lin Ming's sect adventures, tournaments, wars, and his family he protects there for a while leave a bigger impression. I like the new aspect totem thing as it brings more flexibility to battling, though I have a feeling it's just to replace what Lin Ming as bloodlines. Overall this is still worth reading for fans of cultivation novels, and readers of MW won't be disappointed either.
