Monarch of Evernight永夜君王

*I read this novel over a year ago, so this review will be based on how I remember the story.

Story Development:
The story initially started great and had constant new ideas and challenges for the protagonist. However, as the novel progresses, it feels mundane and tedious. I read a few chapters when I had nothing else to do, and eventually, the story became more engaging towards the end.

Writing Quality:
I do not remember it being challenging to read or having grammar or readability problems.

World Background:
This was my favorite part of the novel by far. The world was fascinating and left me constantly wishing to learn more about it.

Character Design:
The characters were not poorly designed, but there were inconsistencies in the actions of certain characters. Some illogical decisions felt forced as a means to generate further conflicts.

Summary + Final Thoughts:
Overall, this is one of my favorite novels. Even though it is a novel that I enjoyed, I also do not wish to reread it. I remember how it felt almost like a chore to get through the story, and reflecting on it brought out many problems that went unnoticed while reading. The world-building was phenomenal, and I feel like the world makes this story stand out to me. I would recommend others to read it, but go in with the expectation of skipping through story arcs or reading it as a backup when you wait for other novels to update.


TL;DR: The story has incredible world-building, some issues with characters and their actions, and can get exhausting/tedious to read. I recommend reading but be prepared to skim/skip through entire story arcs.

One of my first non-japanese novels, I can still remember lots of things that made me devour chapter after chapter until I hit the last release... , so now I ask...

Who can tell me the chapter in which a girlfriend throws ms because of waking up(?) After escaping from the empire? They live in the forest

I was banned from 2 discord 1 novel sites because I don't like this novel, so I started reading here, time passes quickly, it's been 2 years.

I dont really understand why the dude is so loyal to the empire. Even when he started building his own forces and teritory he still lets the empires schemes walk all over him and do nothing but kill a few servants here and there every time. It got annoying real quick. It took him to the last like 20 chapters to grow some balls and start getting some payback

I loved this story at first and even though at some point I just got tired of it and stopped reading it I still hold an appreciation for the work. My only qualm with it is the MC's nature. I personally like characters like Fang Yuan from Reverend Insanity, Wei Wuyin from Paragon Of Sin and the like but This MC's reaction to his family after what he went through just rubbed me the wrong way... Hey don't get me wrong, it's not like I want a cliche story where the MC vows to kill his whole family to get revenge for what he went through but he was just too accepting of the whole thing... Heck he got hacked into as a kid and had to struggle most of his early life coz of the wound that was left but on meeting the person responsible he just accepts her gifts and in the process accepts what was done to him like it was just something unavoidable and totally acceptable... F*ck I just nearly burst a vein from the frustration I felt reading that part. All in all not a novel for me but definitely a good novel.

Was one of my first 5 novels, at the time I was reading this novel it wasn't finished yet, now I don't remember where I left neither much of the story and I'm sincerely too busy to read all this, adult life is sad I want to become 16 again

MC story n journey is slow but certain increase as each story n background of all connect to each other... original story n quite impressive in my opinion

if u looking for fast story increase MC power upgrade like system, cheat etc, then this story not for u

Recommended for those need different n complicated story
