This was exactly my second Chinese novel to read, and i read it till around chap 1200, and after seeing all the chinese novels cliches i can say that btth check everyone of themits hilarious thinking back about it how i was oblivious to them and was always like "MC SO COOL" one thing i didn't like back then is that every thing and ability he have isnt from him, its always and inheritance/secret manual/master teached ability, even when he made a prototype of an ability and was happy about it he found an inheritance with a better technique...

I'm failing to see the issue are you saying that mc should be genius and create his own techniques please show me other novels where MCs do this as most are system reincarnation transmigration or straight up luch inheritance and etc

Entertaining for beginners of this genre. But, i don't think experienced readers are going to like this novel. Every cliche known is used multiple times. A lot of auctions, alchemy competitions, academy arc... Every Heavenly Silkworm Potato's novel has basically the same plot. Underestimated MC goes on a road to show everyone that he's not trash, to prove to his childhood love and her family or sect that he's badass and worthy of her.

I dislike how the translator did this novel. Atleast the beginning chapters that I've read they leave every cultivation rank basically untranslated and stuff like "nephew" or "little brother" untranslated as well. It's just slightly annoying to read "dou Zhe" "dou Zhi Li" instead of "dou practitioner, dou disciple" even ranks of techniques are left as Chinese words like Huang, Xuan, Di, and Tian. When it's yellow, black, earth, and heaven. Sure the people's names are already Chinese so what's remembering a few more Chinese things but no, if I ever go and read anything else besides binging this I'll forget everything because the names will all jumble up. Not a review yet but I'll come with one if I stick through this.

Good luck man. 2013 cultivation novel... Back then the hype was what kept Chinese authors writing really nonsensical cliche plots. But since it was the 'new' thing, it didn't count as cliche.

So, there are really rare novels that don't have cliche plots up to the thousands or even one thousand; but rather have a unique plot that keeps you in.
