Chapter 546

【 FALL OF ULLER

A mix of golden and green pillars of light swirled endlessly, releasing a pressure far grander and more immense than when Uller had unleashed his Frost Domain…

In that moment, the entire sky seemed to transform into a vast and boundless world, lush with vegetation and teeming with life.

This was Eve’s Divine Domain.

While yes, it was indeed true that Eve’s true body was immobile. However, as the World Tree, her expansive root system underneath could, in theory, grow without limit.

And where her true body resided, she could cast her divine domain…

And her roots… were also a part of her true body.

Ever since the players began their assault on the Desert of Death, Evé had insisted on accompanying them through an incarnation. But the reason wasn’t merely to maintain supreme command but was also a covert opportunity to extend her roots here underneath the Desert.

It was a slow and delicate process, one that had to be kept hidden from all other mythical beings.

Thus, Evé operated in secret, using the divine presence of her incarnation on the surface to mask her actions and serve as a decoy should anything go awry.

And at this moment, she had finally extended a thread-thin root—barely a millimeter thick—beneath the battlefield.

This… this was Eve’s true trump card, the power that placed her in an unassailable position.

Within her Divine Domain, no one could defeat her.

At least, not on the current continent of Seigües.

Of course, this tactic was not without risk.

If anything went awry, or if another mythical being was watching nearby, then her true identity could be exposed in an instant.

That was why she had originally intended this as a last-resort measure.

It was never to be used unless absolutely necessary.

In fact, Evé had never intended to use it at all—she had planned to rely solely on her divine incarnation to reap the benefits and leave.

In her estimation, she was likely to face multiple mythical beings.

And if even one of those beings grew suspicious and remained outside her domain—or worse yet, charged through it in a desperate attempt to seize her true body—then she would have been exposed entirely…

But no one expected Reinhardt to act.

In the end, the war turned into a duel between her and Uller.

And in order to defeat Eve, Uller forcibly descended with his true body and activated his own Divine Domain.

His domain enveloped the sky and the entire battlefield, cutting off all external connection and preventing any interference or surveillance from other mythical beings.

And because of that, Evé was able to unleash her power from beneath the earth without any fear of being discovered.

Now, the other gods would simply believe she had broken through the sealed space from within the Frost Domain and unleashed her own Divine Domain from inside!

A golden green light erupted and completely consumed the reddish sky.

In just an instant, Uller’s Divine Domain shattered like fragile bubbles bursting against stone.

This was the suppression of divine law.

Life and Nature were, by their very essence, higher-order divinity than Winter and Hunt.

And when Eve, whose divine power had already surpassed Uller’s, cast her own Divine Domain, the tide of battle was instantly reversed!

As his frost domain collapsed, the divine light surrounding Uller dimmed at once.

He let out a stifled groan and spat a mouthful of silver hued divine blood.

It wasn’t true blood, per se, but rather the manifestation of divinity infused with law—a power that circulated through the true body of a deity, and so could rightly be called “Divine blood”…

In mere moments, Uller’s aura had withered instantly.

With his domain broken, even a true god with powerful regenerative abilities would suffer serious backlash from the divine laws.

Let alone one whose domain had been so thoroughly crushed, overpowered and torn apart by a higher-ranked god through sheer force alone!

“A Divine Domain?! How can you still cast your Domain?!”

Uller couldn’t even spare a moment to recover from the backlash. Instead, he stared at Evé in shock and fear, his voice filled with disbelief.

Evé smiled faintly.

She gave no explanation. Instead, she raised the Scepter of Life, channeled divine power in it, and completely mended the rift in the dimensional passage that Uller had torn open.

Then she responded with a question of her own:

“What do you think, Lord Uller?”

Uller’s expression darkened.

His gaze locked onto Eve, filled with uncertainty and suspicion.

After staring at her for a long moment, he clenched his teeth and hissed:

“You… you’re not actually using your true body! You just using a divine incarnation! Your true self… has been hidden all along!”

“Correct,” Evé replied with a snap of her fingers.

“But,” she added with a shake of her head, “there’s no prize for getting it right.”

She then raised her Scepter once more and spoke softly:

“Bind.”

As her word echoed out, Uller felt an irresistible force descend from all directions, crushing down upon him.

It was the power of divine law.

Here, Evé was the absolute sovereign. Thus, every word she spoke shall became law.

Her will shaped reality itself.

Uller’s expression twisted in alarm.

He tried to swing his divine axe to shatter the laws suppressing him but the very seal he had placed upon himself to complete the spell of transference had now become shackles binding his strength.

How ironic…

What was meant to be a tool of power had turned into chains, leaving Uller utterly helpless, trapped by the laws of the divine domain of Nature and Life.

He could barely raise his divine axe above his head and could move no further.

Feeling his powers being locked down, Uller roared in fury and frustration:

“Eve! Your methods… I refuse to accept this! If you still have the pride of a true god, then fight me fairly—face to face!”

Evé was left speechless at this.

“Fairly?” she echoed with a scoff and shook her head.

Was sealing off the battlefield fair?

Was conspiring with evil gods fair?

Such blatant double standards reminded her of certain people back on earth.

Of course, Evé never claimed to be some benevolent deity.

But so what?

All she wanted was to survive in this world.

And for someone like her whose identity could not be exposed in public, survival meant becoming stronger than anyone and everyone else.

With that in mind, Evé stepped forward slowly, walking gracefully on leaves and flowers formed from divine energy, until she stood face-to-face with Uller.

Then, she raised the Scepter of Life.

Divine energy surged and gathered at its tip, becoming more and more terrifying with each passing second.

Uller’s pupils contracted. For the first time, genuine fear flickered in his gaze.

“Eve…are you really going to kill me?! You know who’s behind me! If I fall, you’ll face the wrath of my Lord, the God of War and Destruction!”

His voice was laced with desperation.

Eve’s expression darkened further.

Is this guy brain-damaged?

she wondered.

Did his ascension seal up his strength but forget his brain?

He was the one who declared this would be a fight to the death, and now that he’d lost, he wanted to plead for his life?

Evé had no words.

As for the so-called God of War backing him?

Heh. If that being truly valued Uller, then the moment Eve revealed her divine domain, some mythical force would’ve already intervened—whether through an incarnation, a divine whisper, or even a direct message.

Yet nothing happened.

Clearly, for reasons unknown, the God of War and Destruction had chosen to abandon Uller.

Realizing this, Evé merely shook her head and said calmly:

“Uller, victory and defeat are the way of gods. If you truly have any pride left as a deity—then at least die with dignity.”

With that, she tapped the Scepter of Life against his chest.

Golden light burst forth from its tip, completely enveloping Uller’s divine true body.

[Life Drain]

It was one of the Scepter’s abilities.

It could absorb the life force of an enemy and store it within itself, or transfer it directly into the wielder.

Even true gods—beings of higher existence—could not escape this fate. In their case, it drained not just life force, but divine power and soul essence as well.

This ability was the evolved version of the War Sacrifice which was an advanced form of Eve’s absorption technique.

And when her true body couldn’t appear on the battlefield, this was the most effective way for her to devour Uller’s power.

As his divine essence and soul energy rapidly drained from his body, Uller’s fear turned to panic.

“Eve! You can’t do this!”

“I am the God of Winter and Hunt! I serve under the War God! By killing me, you’re declaring war on him!”

But soon, his cries turned to begging:

“Eve! I admit it—I’ve lost! Spare me, and I’ll relinquish the domains of Winter and Hunt! They’re offshoots of your own divinity so you’ll grow even stronger with them!”

“Eve… you want to grow quickly, don’t you? I can repay you! My divine kingdom holds vast reserves of divine power—I’ll swear a divine Oath! I’ll order my followers to leave your territory…”

“Eve… you’re a proper god… do you really have to exterminate me like this?!”

His pleading voice echoed throughout the divine domain.

Yet Eve did not stop.

She merely shook her head and said,

“Eradicate you completely? I wonder… did that ever cross your mind when you ordered your followers to target the elves? Did you think that way… a thousand years ago, when you joined the attack against the World Tree?”

With those words, she quickened her actions.

Uller’s divine power was rapidly drained from his body. By now, his features grew increasingly twisted in agony.

Gradually, his strength faded. His divine soul began to collapse.

In a daze, Uller seemed to glimpse memories from before his ascension.

He saw the moment he was first worshipped by the Orcs, how he was born from their totem and granted them protection…

He saw himself at the moment of becoming a god, promising his people he would lead them to the peak of the world—that every follower of his would live in happiness…

Then came memories of his growing hunger for power after joining the God of War faction…

His ambition for status, his yearning to rise even further…

And finally, his betrayal—joining the pantheon’s alliance to besiege the World Tree…

“No… I can’t fall here…”

“I haven’t become the God of Life and Nature yet…”

“I haven’t formed my own divine faction…”

“I haven’t fulfilled the promise I made before becoming a god…”

“I haven’t yet made the Orcs a race with Silver lineage…”

“I still… haven’t freed them from the mockery of both humans and other races…”

His voice was broken and trailing, growing weaker and more incoherent. His consciousness blurred further, slipping away into darkness.

He struggled to move his head, mustering all his remaining strength just to look at Eve.

He gazed at the goddess of life—clad in a flowing white skirt-armor, crowned with a halo of flowers, silver hair cascading down, eyes glowing violet…

Holy light shimmered around her like waves, her perfect, delicate features glowing dreamlike like moonlight.

In that moment, Uller felt the image before him slowly merge with a distant figure buried deep in his memory.

A face forever graced by a gentle smile.

Someone who was always kind, no matter who she stood before.

A presence that had haunted his thoughts for a thousand years, always stirring unease and dread whenever he remembered her.

Then, in the haze of his fading mind, a long-forgotten memory surfaced…

It was a warm, sunny afternoon.

Sunlight bathed the land, and a silver-haired, violet-eyed woman stood before a crudely carved totem, gently raising her scepter…

Her voice rang out, clear and sweet, tinged with hope:

“You are full of potential. If you are willing, then grow… and protect these lands.”

“Oh, you don’t have a name yet, do you? Then… allow me to give you one.”

“Uller…How does that sound?”

“It comes from the ancient Titan tongue—meaning ‘Merciful Guardian.’ I hope you’ll always be kind. I hope you’ll remember your purpose, never forget your heart, and guide this newborn race forward…”

His vision blurred further as his thoughts dulled into haze.

Uller stared at the figure before him, eyes lost, and whispered softly:

“Ygg…drasill…”

“All…Mother.”

His voice carried emotions too deep to name.

But he never finished the sentence.

The next instant, the light in his eyes finally faded.

And his true body gradually shattered as he dissolved into countless silver particles.

A strange wave rippled through the air, before the entire world seemed to tremble faintly.

At that moment, every Orcs across Seigües along with every believers of the God of Winter and Hunt all felt a sudden emptiness within them, as though something vital had been ripped out from their hearts.

An indescribable sorrow welled up within each believer.

Cries of anguish echoed across the battlefield, through the tribes, and throughout the Desert of Death…

High in the sky, radiant beams burst from the divine realm of Nature and Life, scattering in streams of light that dissolved into the void—The power of divine law, now without a master, returned to the world itself.

At the same time, across the Desert, the heavens rained down motes of light like a divine miracle.

Meanwhile, far away in the Heavenly Realm, a silver-glowing kingdom dimmed, before crumbling rapidly into ruination…

And in that moment, all who sensed this change among the gods realized that—

Uller, God of Winter and Hunt…

—Had fallen.

TL/N : With that this whole arc has been done. I’ve released this many chapters since I’m currently in the province (a really remote one at that with weak signal) and probably won’t be online for the time being since I’m currently helping some relatives with funeral and burial so I probably won’t update until the next week.

So for now enjoy this mass release. Thanks for reading.
