"Bang-!"
With a loud noise, the earth wailed.
The entire Cloud Mist City, and most of the cloud forest, felt the violent tremors of the earth.
After Qi Le had smashed almost half of the dragon's bones, the Bone Dragon finally fell from the air and landed heavily on the plain outside Cloud Mist City.
A huge hole was smashed into the ground.
It resembled a crater more than a dry lake.
Qi Le followed closely and jumped in front of the Bone Dragon.
"Are you here to laugh at me?" The Bone Dragon lay on the ground, no longer having the strength to raise his head.
"No, I have no interest in that."
"Zi'er... is the name of the girl with dragon blood?" Bone Dragon asked in a low voice.
The weak voice indicated its current state.
"Yes, but you haven't answered my question yet," Qi Le replied coldly.
"Do you know about the Brilliant Empire and the Dragon Race?" The Bone Dragon still did not answer Qi Le's question, but instead asked Qi Le a question.
"Dragon Ruins, I know," Qi Le frowned but nodded.
Qi Le had heard this story from Lan Qing'er not long ago.
However, the Bone Dragon didn't seem to hear Qi Le's answer but kept it to himself.
The story told by the Bone Dragon was essentially the same as the one told by Lan Qing'er.
Qi Le listened quietly without interrupting.
"You must be very puzzled as to why I'm telling you this story," Bone Dragon said at the end, suddenly asking.
"I am indeed puzzled," Qi Le did not refute.
"Because I am the prince of the dragon clan."
The Bone Dragon slowly uttered.
Hearing this, Qi Le was truly surprised.
"You, you are the dragon prince from the story?" Qi Le looked up and down the Bone Dragon, finding it hard to believe that such a behemoth could fall in love with a human princess.
"Don't look at me that way; this is just my dragon form," the Bone Dragon probably guessed Qi Le's thoughts.
Qi Le had heard that dragons could transform into human appearances, but he never thought a dragon would be so enormous.
Qi Le also admired the Brilliant Empire princess.
"Regarding what you asked me before," the Bone Dragon continued.
"It's very simple. Back then, my daughter and Xing'er died in my arms. Consequently, my father used my remains to create an array of dragon souls."
"Now my daughter's dragon soul is safeguarded within my own dragon soul."
"But if it remains this way for too long, her dragon soul might be consumed by mine. That's why I need a vessel to contain her dragon soul."
Perhaps because of his impending death, he had abandoned his arrogant demeanor.
The Bone Dragon stated this very clearly, with no hint of concealment.
The term "vessel," as Qi Le understood it, referred to a receptacle.
However, the receptacle's body must meet certain criteria to hold the dragon's soul.
To accommodate the dragon's soul, the body must possess dragon clan blood.
After all, this dragon prince, even if he was resurrected from the dead and turned into a Bone Dragon, the first and the last thing he thought of was his daughter and the Princess of the Brilliant Empire.
No matter how violent he had been, at least, he was a competent father.
