Chapter 189: The fight's conclusion (2)

The tornado full of spatial shrapnel was coming closer and closer to Felix. While Marshallo watched from the sidelines, he was an honorable fellow. So even though he could take this situation, to try and mess with Felix and his tornado attack could land, he didn't do anything of the sort.

Felix would have his hands full, trying to stop the tornado, and while Marshallo was certainly weakened and out of energy, any actions from him would make Felix have to split his attention.

Splitting his attention in this situation would put him in a perilous situation. If the tornado swallowed him and he died. That wouldn't stop the tornado from destroying the planet.

The tornado's strength was currently increasing at the highest speed.

While it was also absorbing the broken spatial shards that it was continuously creating by itself.

It was obvious that the tornado would get stronger and stronger as it went on until it collided with something of enough size and weight to stop it. Destroying both the tornado and its target.

Unfortunately for Felix, the target was the planet that he had sworn to protect.

The tornado's moving speed wasn't very fast, but its suction force was very strong.

Felix could barely keep himself on the arena floor as he glared at the tornado that Marshallo unleashed.

If he wanted to destroy it, he needed to find the eye of the storm and breakthrough it.

Felix's eyes were filled with energy as they gained a red hue. With this augmentation, he was able to see through the structure of the tornado and localize its core.

The eye of the storm was located in the middle of the tornado, which was currently being filled with intensely sharp spatial shards that were revolving around the tornado and its insides just like a gang of angry mosquitos out for blood.

The tornado's centrifugal force created blades of death for anyone that dared approach it.

Marshallo kept himself to the arena floor as he rested with his eyes closed. He wanted to fight Felix while both of them were at full power since he would find any other type of fight boring.

He didn't mind playing 'dirty' to get the fights he wanted, but he would get angry if they were interrupted. While he looked normal on the surface, on the inside, he was seething as he had to rely on such tricks to get enough time for recovery. However, he also knew that Felix himself would never let him rest in this situation, and if he wanted to continue enjoying himself with Felix, he had to do what he had to do.

The end justified the means.

Felix's energy armor was cracking the closer he got to the tornado showing that it was also interfering with the normal hex energy existing in the universe.

The suction force from the tornado was working on everything!

Felix frowned. If he decided to blast the tornado, it would surely absorb the energy and maybe even send it back at him a few times stronger than before.

So how could he reach the eye of the storm and break the tornado from there without fatally injuring himself?

He had identified the location of the eye, but it was currently being surrounded by incalculable amounts of spatial shards, which were constantly getting stronger due to the absorption of the amalgams of energy in space. Thus also adding a toxic quality to the tornado and its rotating spatial chainsaw.

This was a combination that Felix wasn't sure how to get around... his body was immune to the toxins but not the chainsaw part.

Even Marshallo at full power, with his superior physique, would become a well-cut steak if he ventured into the current tornado.

Felix gritted his teeth as he bit his thumb in frustration. The only thing that he had now was a little bit of time due to the slow advancement of the tornado.

What could he do to destroy the tornado? What?

Think, Felix, Think!

Felix frowned as he made up his mind and coated his whole body in a triple layer of armor, combining his orange aura therein before activating his evolved lightning armor and increasing his bodily speed even further as his skin turned pink due to the increased blood flow in his body.

He increased both his speed and defensive capabilities to the maximum as he decided to charge directly through the tornado while dodging all the attacks to the best of his ability, leaving those that he couldn't slash at his triple armor layer + the one that he was currently using to cover his modesty, in total having 4 layers which were also enhanced by his orange aura.

"I can do this... I can do it!"

Felix stopped giving himself a pep talk as he launched himself into the tornado leaving a yellow streak in space which was absorbed by the tornado at the same time as Felix's body was.

Felix found himself directly at the edges of the tornado as he dodged one spatial shard which came too close for comfort. The further into the tornado, the more spatial shards flew around into an exhibit of the beautiful dance of 'swords'.

There were many spatial shards and they flew randomly at first glance, but as Felix looked through the trajectory of the shards. He realized that there might be a chance to truly get to where he was supposed to, without losing much.

Felix started to calculate the path of the flying shards as he put his speed and defensive power in the equation before making sure there weren't any sudden changes in the paths of the flying spatial shards.

From what he could see, the flow of power from the tornado was pretty constant, so he closed his eyes for a brief second before reopening them and dashing through the calculated openings left from the flying spatial shards, who went on their way, according to the data he calculated.

Felix found a few scars on his first armor layer as he went through the first strata of the tornado.

Even though he had dodged everything, he slowly realized that the inside of the tornado was very sharp as well, not as sharp as the spatial shards, but the longer he stood inside the tornado, the more his shields would be damaged.

He was getting passively damaged from solely existing in the tornado.

Fortunately for Felix, his defenses were very solid, and they would be able to withstand even a direct hit from the spatial shards that were currently flying around at a high velocity. So he would be able to live inside the tornado for quite a long time if he needed to.

Felix continued according to the route he planned, but midway to the eye of the tornado, he realized that he didn't take into the calculation, that the further he went in, the faster the tornado would spin, and he was almost thrown outside the tornado by a spatial shard that impaled his shields, almost taking him outside the tornado.

However, what was gone also had to go back, so Felix was sent back into the tornado, and close to the central area, there he dropped directly into the eye of the storm, where it was the safest.

The eye of the storm was the center of the tornado and nothing was currently going there. As Felix looked around, he saw how the center was being surrounded by the spatial shards, which were thrown through the tornado before being expelled and sucked back in.

Now that he was in the center of the tornado, he could stop this attack.

His aura inflated as his energy reached a blowing point. If he attacked the tornado from outside, the energy he would have currently unleashed would have been absorbed and thrown back. But now that he was unleashing this energy from the inside, the tornado was collapsing by itself!

The spatial shards started to drop as the currents that kept the tornado going were exploded by Felix's unleashed energy, which severed them, breaking the tornado's power until it disappeared thoroughly.

Felix's body appeared in Marshallo's gaze as he felt his expression twist. He had been only able to rest for around 8 days before Felix had destroyed the tornado, he was only around 70% of his full power, but he didn't know if it was still enough for the fight with Felix. He was sure he had somehow grown stronger after he got rid of the tornado, he had experienced Felix's talent headfirst and knew that in perilous situations, his body would burst with new energy and strength. That would lead him to have small breakthroughs in his life level.

He was similarly talented, but as he continued to fight Felix. He also realized that the man who was currently floating some tens of meters away from him had something that he didn't have.

He wasn't sure what he was lacking, but he was sure that Felix had it.

Marshallo got up from being seated on the arena floor as he put his hammer on his shoulder and breathed in for a few seconds. Space shook as he breathed out, and he pointed his hammer towards Felix from the distance before saying:

"Bring it on. I still have 3 lives left!"

Felix floated down back onto the arena as he glanced at Marshallo... from his experiences in the tornado, he learned a few things, and he knew that this fight was going to end soon enough.
