Book 7: Chapter 9:2: The Theresilly Who Needs a Reality Check, Part 2

“Actually, I know a person called Liz who occasionally uses Kal’tsit’s account. They seem on pretty good terms with each other, but based on today, it looks like their relationship is not as I had thought.”

“What’s different? Actually, it is like this….” Seeing everyone’s curious gaze, he knew it was time to explain (he could no longer hide). That way, the others would stop looking at him like he had done something bad.

Hence, Chen Heng explained everything that happened in the Arknights world. Of course, because too much had happened, he might have forgotten about some not-so-important things, like the heart maze.

Chen Heng had truly forgotten it, not that he did not want to tell them. Yes, just pretend that is true.

“I can’t help but feel that Nightingale harbors questionable intentions toward Elder Brother.” After listening to all the details, Sirin rubbed her chin, adopting a tone reminiscent of a detective discovering something peculiar.

“Sirin, what’s usually going on inside that little brain of yours? I’ve told you so much, and this is the conclusion you drew?” Chen Heng playfully extended his hands toward Sirin’s adorable, slightly chubby cheeks.

Miffed by his actions, Sirin swatted away Chen Heng’s hands and retorted, “Who said that? I have other conclusions in mind.”

“Oh? Please share.”

“Well, I think, Elder Brother, you might have designs on Skadi.”

“…What are you thinking? Your elder brother is not that capricious.”

“Isn’t being capricious human nature?”

“…” Chen Heng did not reply to Sirin. Instead, he lifted her again and placed her on his lap, facing him, and adopted a serious and attentive expression as he gazed at her face.

Chen Heng couldn’t help but wonder why he hadn’t noticed before that Sirin was so sharp-tongued and sensitive.

Sirin felt increasingly uncomfortable under his intense scrutiny and the proximity of his face, which was only 20 or 30 centimeters away. Her face started to flush, and to hide her embarrassment, she exclaimed, “Wh-what’s the matter? Why are you staring at me like that? Don’t stay silent!”

Chen Heng didn’t reply; he continued to observe Sirin closely.

“Am I wrong? Didn’t you refer to Skadi as your 2D character waifu?” Sirin was becoming flustered by Chen Heng’s silence and close proximity, and was now eager to hear him speak.

“Is that so?” Chen Heng finally broke his silence. “If considering someone as your 2D character waifu is having designs on them, wouldn’t that mean I also have designs on you? Keep in mind: you have a special place among my 2D character waifus.”

“W-waifu! Having designs on? Wait, I suddenly remember I have something I need to do. I’ll go back to my room.” Sirin’s face turned red as she hastily stood up from Chen Heng’s lap and retreated into the imaginary space she had created with her abilities.

“My king, I’ll go check on the queen,” Bella said, bowing slightly to Chen Heng before heading upstairs, presumably to Sirin’s room.

Chen Heng chuckled, watching as Sirin made her escape.

In truth, it was a tactic on Chen Heng’s part. Strong-willed individuals like Sirin often struggled in such situations. Being well-versed in erotica didn’t necessarily translate to practical skills.

However, when it came to his interactions with Luo Li, Chen Heng believed he might be the one at a disadvantage.

In situations where two individuals of different sexes stood just inches apart, the one who held the upper hand in the relationship typically emerged victorious. Of course, Chen Heng had no intention of implying that he was passive in his relationship with Luo Li; he was simply more modest.

“Elder Brother, do you think Sirin is easy to fool?”

“Who said that? Sirin is my dear younger sister; why would I deceive her?”

“Is that so?” Sitting across from Chen Heng, Luo Li deliberately drew out her words.

Chen Heng felt like Luo Li had completely read him, and decided to shift his attention to the Dimension Administrators Association’s chat.

Magical Girl Teriri: If I remember correctly, Sirin is a student at St. Freya Academy in this world, right? Come on, Sirin, let’s hear you call me principal.

Herrscher of Pufferfish: Ah! You, the perpetual shorty who never grows up, want me to call you principal? Have you had too much bitter gourd juice and turned yourself into a bitter gourd?

Magical Girl Teriri: Humph! You’re feeling smug now, aren’t you? When school starts, I’m going to the middle school section to explore thoroughly. I bet you’ll have to address me as principal then.

Herrscher of Pufferfish: Do you think I’m scared of you? If you have the guts, go ahead. Anyway, I won’t be attending St. Freya Academy next semester.

Magical Girl Teriri: Wait, what’s going on?

Herrscher of Pufferfish: Have you heard of Jixia Academy? I’m going to Jixia Academy.

Magical Girl Teriri: Jixia Academy? You?

Herrscher of Pufferfish: You underestimate me, Shorty. Who am I? Getting into Jixia Academy is a piece of cake for someone like me.

Chen Heng clicked on the picture Sirin had sent, only to find that it was the invitation to Jixia Academy he had given her a couple of days ago—the small jade medallion.

Magical Girl Teriri: Is that really a Jixia Academy invitation? Where did you get it?

Herrscher of Pufferfish: Well, you see, it’s because of this queen’s innate beauty and exceptional talents. Someone specially delivered this invitation to me.

Magical Girl Teriri: …Sirin, do you really not know the purpose of this invitation?

Herrscher of Pufferfish: What do you mean?

Magical Girl Teriri: The invitations with a jade medallion design like the one you have are typically distributed by Jixia Academy to influential factions. The ones for specially recruited students with exceptional talents are made of paper. Well, not paper, but it looks like paper. I don’t know the exact material.

Herrscher of Pufferfish: …

Hah…, Chen Heng sighed as he read the chat records. Once again, Sirin had blundered.

Herrscher of Pufferfish: Elder Brother, Theresa is bullying me. Mute her.

He Who Knows Fate: …

Magical Girl Teriri: Mute?

Efreet: You should know that Sirin’s elder brother is Chen Heng, and Chen Heng is the only administrator in the Dimension Administrators Association. He has significant authority here, having privileges like muting.

Magical Girl Teriri: So, he’s a tyrant?

He Who Knows Fate: …
