Chapter 310: Li Yang Said Yes |
Bo Lifen wanted to ask for Li Yang's help and she couldn't tell him about the information about one of the senior cultivators of Liu Guiren through a call either. But it was with a certain relief that she found Li Yang saying yes.
[ I'll help you. I may be a bit busy right now and in the upcoming two weeks because I'll be attending a party with the Song Family, but I'll make time for you. ]
Bo Lifen smiled a bit and appreciated him saying yes. She didn't really think he'd agree to it when there were others like those from Shen Society who she could approach. But out of all the people that she knew in the cultivation society, it was him that she trusted to be able to teach her.
He wouldn't judge her for deciding so late, but she still felt incredibly embarrassed about it.
"Then I'll try not to be a nuisance—"
[ What about your work though? Who'll take care of it? ]
Bo Lifen's face fell a bit, but then she had people who could take care of Heavenly Jade Pavilion while she was gone. "Don't worry about it, I'll be able to handle it. Just give me a time and place and I'll meet you there."
So it was supposed to be a date.
...well, that was an incredibly delusional way of looking at things.

Yesterday.
Li Yang returned to Luo Ju Di's hospital room to tell them about his plans to help Bo Lifen with cultivation. Naturally, he had two people he could ask help from. There was Taiga and Ying Yue He currently on the floor and pulling at each other's hair.
"Cat fight!" Panda was speaking loudly as if it was a host talking about a boxing match. "Who's betting on the tiger or will you toss your points to the lady in—"
Luo Ju Di was currently covering her daughter's eyes and ears and Narissa only looked a bit amused. Li Yang was far from happy as the two women suddenly noticed his presence and slowed down.
At least, Ying Yue He slowed down because she was worried about her appearance to Li Yang and that was where Taiga threw a right hook across Ying Yue He's face and then jumped back with her entire hair in a mess.
"Bossman! I won—I won! Ahaha… Taiga won the match?"
Ying Yue He winced and sat up, before throwing a glare in Taiga's direction. She stayed on the ground and touched her cheek. "Ow, that hurts."
"You pulled Taiga's hair first!" Taiga harrumphed and went back to her place beside Narissa. "Bossman, ask Blue Fish and Mom over there and they'll confirm to you that it wasn't Taiga who started it but your secretary trying to look pitiful."
Luo Ju Di sighed. "Violence in front of children. They're a bunch of kids themselves, aren't they?"
"Or two ridiculous women," Narissa scrunched up her nose. "Hah, this is why cultivators aren't so looked upon with esteem elsewhere. A simple and unassuming man takes a seat in a bar and there's at least one arrogant young cultivator genius telling him that it's his seat."
"Huh?" Taiga looked at her.
"The bar we visited doesn't like cultivators, they can get intentionally rowdy," Narissa flicked a wrist and then checked her fingernails. "Oh no, 'do you not know that chair is reserved for me?' and 'are you seeking death?' is really too much, man."
"What was it about?" Li Yang asked. He looked around the room for any first aid kit, realized that it was probably inefficient when dealing with a cultivator and instead bought something for Ying Yue He. "I'd like to hear the accounts from everyone."
The man knelt on the ground and immediately started brushing a swab of healing ointment on her cheek. Ying Yue He sighed deeply and stared on the ground. "It was an argument we had a year ago… I guess you can say that we're just getting rid of the stale energy left from it?"
"I see," Li Yang nodded and then glanced in Taiga's direction.
Taiga was giving him a pout and crossed her arms. "Why are you treating Ying Yue He first when she threw the first attack? Treat me as well, Bossman."
"Is her story true? What do you think happened between the two of you?" Li Yang asked as he approached the other woman and sat in between her and Narissa.
Taiga bit on her lip. "Well… maybe she's kind of right. As long as Ying Yue He doesn't attack me again, I'm willing to forgive her."
"Forgive me?" Ying Yue He's eyes flashed.
Taiga intentionally leaned against Li Yang's chest. "Wah, she's really scary now that she learned how to be a cultivator. Can you give Taiga some healing too?"
"Where does it hurt?" Li Yang asked as he noted that there were no visible injuries on her face or anywhere for that matter.
Taiga grinned and grabbed his head and directed him into her chest. "Right here—give Taiga some kisses to make the booboos go away!"

If the argument between Ying Yue He and Taiga's fight seemed a little tiring, it was more exhausting to mention that he planned on spending time with Bo Lifen to help her out with cultivation.
Ying Yue He wanted to pass the duties of taking care of Chunhua and being with Luo Ju Di to Narissa because she appeared to be so good with the kid so she could accompany Li Yang in meeting up with the Tea Sommelier.
"Between me and Taiga, I think I have more abilities to assist you in teaching Miss Bo Lifen about cultivation," Ying Yue He placed a hand on her chest. "After all, I recently underwent a similar training whereas who knows how long Taiga went through hers?"
"Taiga is more powerful than you and more experienced!"
If this was akin to a job interview, even though Taiga was truly more exceptionally skilled at this point of time and with countless experiences under her belt… Ying Yue He was great at selling herself and appealing to fulfill the needs that Li Yang wanted.
Narissa on the other hand was someone that Li Yang actually wanted to train and develop. He promised to help her become stronger and powerful as their arrangement in the past where Li Yang told her that it was better to also gain them as the life of an idol wasn't always constant.
Luo Ju Di stared at them and sighed. "Well, I'm stuck in bed and recovering, I just want whoever stays here with me and Chunhua is a responsible person who's a good influence to her."
"Is Uncle Yang going away again?" Chunhua looked up to him with a small puppy dog-like look. "Didn't you promise to stay here with Mama and take care of Chunhua?"
"Why not stay here and let Taiga and Ying Yue He train that Bo Lifen?" Narissa chuckled.
And thus the man was made to come to a decision to only bring two.
