Chapter 7: Nine Months

After Luo Chaoxin was corrected by Su Hao via the broom, he once again realized he was the weakest one in the house. His room full of monster toys couldn’t fight against the powerful demon that was “Older Brother”. Even his parents who doted on him so much were unwilling to say a single word for him in front of his older brother. Older brother was too powerful. When would he be able to beat him and become the real owner of the house.

Su Hao went back to his room and sat in front of his computer deep in thought.

He was already 15 this year. The curse of his reincarnations not being able to live past 5 years seemed to have already disappeared. Ever since he survived the kindergarten incident, his life had been smooth sailing and he hadn’t experienced any other dangers. Based on this trend, perhaps he could live a whole life, become famous, and become a genius that left a deep mark on this world.

That was the life he wanted. In the previous life, where he had nothing, he hoped his life would be filled with color, without money he couldn’t finish spending, endless girls, able to do whatever he wanted, able to implement his own system of justice, have his name echo throughout the world.

So far, everything was perfect.

He had almost unlimited money. Countless girls, aunties, and women salivated over him. He could do whatever he wanted, including spanking that annoying Luo Chaoxin. No one would stop him, including his parents. People hung onto his every word. His justice was countless peoples’ justice. Right now, though his name didn’t fully echo through the whole world, with a bit of time and copying more of Earth’s famous writers and musicians, he would be famous across the world.

Picturing this, Su Hao suddenly laughed.

Sure enough, such a leisurely and fulfilling life was worth living. This was exactly what he wanted. This was exactly what she had been dreaming of on Earth. Here, all of his dreams were becoming reality one by one.

Of course, one couldn’t just take take take. This world’s success was also his. He also wanted to give this world something in return, things he could return within his power.

“ I need to leave something for this world. I can’t just come here for free.”

The things that Su Hao wanted to leave behind weren’t just the Earth’s stories and music. He also wanted to use his own effort and truly raise this world’s civilization development and bring a better life for most people.

“This matter can’t be rushed. Relying on my current knowledge is far from enough. I need to learn more. And because of my limited knowledge, Cosmic Light’s current level is too low. It’s far from enough ability to be operated like a super computer. If I can learn the knowledge of quantum processing, I’ll definitely be able to greatly improve Little Light’s computing power. Then the entire system can be optimized.”

“Thus, my knowledge is still too lacking. The current objective is still to learn. Little Light, add the quantum mechanics course. “

“Setting up quantum mechanics course”

“Quantum mechanics basic data collection”

“Quantum mechanics splitting basic knowledge”

“Optimizing process”

“Quantum mechanics course successfully established!”

‘Study for two hours every day for three months.”

……

A year later, Su Hao turned 16. He had already obtained a doctorate and was famous in academic circles.

In this year, having gone through multiple optimizations, Little Light’s cloud computing power had significantly improved. The marble room was optimized again and no longer resembled a spaceship control room. Su Hao had transformed it into an ordinary living room. But this living room could change its appearance however he wanted. Grassland, desert, beach, snowy mountain, clouds. As long as he thought of it, he could transform it.

With a single thought, he could see the most recent log. He could even summon a book with what he wanted to see.

In addition, his new books “Harry Potter” sold well across the whole world. He planned to write a book of Chinese mythology’s “History of Disasters”. But time was limited and he never started writing. There was also a new piano piece “Kiss the Rain” that boomed across the world.

He did these things, not for money, but as a way to give back to this world.To add enrichment to the people of this world, to make it more plentiful.

The current him had the qualifications to be like Ma Baba and say: I’m not interested in money.

(TLN: I believe this is a reference to Jack Ma and Alibaba)

Up until now, everything had gone perfectly and smoothly. He would soon be an adult and could openly go and find those beautiful lasses to play with.

Until on day, as he was deep in studies, Su Hao suddenly belt abdominal cramps, his head felt dizzy, and he collapsed at his desk.

After an unknown period of time, Luo Chaoxin drove his new little fake armored car and puttered into Su Hao’s room. Today he had prepared to once again duel against his brother. But as the fake armored car showed off and circled around and around his older brother’s body, he didn’t see any reactions from his brother. He felt emboldened and used his new rocket launcher and fired a grenade at Su Hao.

The shell popped out and lightly hit Su Hao and fell to the ground, but there was still no reaction from his older brother. Normally, he would have already been grabbed by the collar and tossed out by his great demon king brother. Luo Chaoxin was at a loss. He got off the car and took off his explosion-protection helmet and used his strength to push Su Hao a bit. However, Su Hao didn’t move.

Luo Chaoxin realized something was wrong. He jumped back into his fake armored car and went back out, activating the alarm sound on the car.

“Weeyoo weeyoo…”

Yelling at the top of his lungs: “Mom mom mom! Big brother was defeated by me!”

No one paid him any attention, so he changed it and yelled: “Mom mom mom! Big brother isn’t moving!”

……

When Su Hao woke up, he discovered that he had arrived at the hospital and was lying in a sickbed. His parents Luo Shengrong and Huang Shujun had faces full of concern. Huang Shujun’s eyes were red, her tears having ruined her makeup, but when Su Hao woke up, she gave Su Hao a dazzling smile.

“Little Hui woke up. Are you hungry? Mom prepared some fruit for you. If you’re hungry, eat first.”

Little Luo Chaoxing sat on top of his hands, leaning forward to lie down on the bed. Just like that, he was staring at Su Hao.

Su Hao realized that he must have become sick. But everything had been going so well. How could he have fallen sick?

He first accepted the apple Huang Shujun handed him and took a bite. Then he entered the marble room and flipped through the log.

“2 years 7 months 8 days 0 hour 0 minutes 0 seconds,

‘Cosmic Light 2.1’ update complete. Optimized System display interface. Optimized resource cross search functions;

Chinese vocabulary analyzed 69%

‘Semiconductor materials’ studying has reached proficiency 3%;

……

Sudden change in body condition caused you to enter a coma; referencing data… insufficient data. More data required.;

……

Hospital examination conclusion: pancreatic cancer;

Detailed report below:

……

Estimated survival time: Nine months.

……”

As Su Hao read through the log, he became dazed and his mind fell into a pit.

    Regarding Su Hao's request for a younger sibling, his parents agreed, though the timing remained uncertain.

    Su Hao had made the request out of consideration. He knew his goals differed from those of most people, and he wasn't sure he could be a filial son. He also didn't know if he could pretend to be a real son. So, to compensate for his potential future absence, he broached the topic of having another child6.

    The family had significant savings and no financial burdens. The only question was whether his parents were willing to raise another child.

    In truth, Su Hao had underestimated his parents. They had long considered having another child. However, Su Hao's clinginess when he was younger made them hesitant to bring it up, wanting to respect his feelings5. Over time, they stopped discussing it altogether.

    Having produced a genius like Su Hao gave them confidence in their genes. Having more children, they believed, was a way to contribute to the country, benefit society, and benefit mankind.

    ...

    Once Su Hao had acquired sufficient foundational knowledge, he immersed himself in programming and compiling, eager to learn as quickly as possible and begin developing a system for his marble room.

    A year later, at age 12, he successfully created a program to organize and classify the chaotic space within the marble room.

    He categorized information into math, physics, chemistry, biology, IT, manufacturing, agriculture, astronomy, art, weaponry, and more. He named this basic program "Cosmic Light 1.0," affectionately calling it "Little Light."

    That same year, Su Hao welcomed a chubby, two-month-old younger brother named Luo Chaoxin.

    "Pride and Prejudice" was published and sold.

    The following year, Su Hao turned 13. He successfully implemented a search function within the marble room, enabling him to quickly retrieve needed information. The system was upgraded to "Cosmic Light 1.1."

    An adapted version of "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" was published and became immensely popular. The piano piece "Forest Rhapsody" was released online. The greatest genius.

    Another year passed, and Su Hao turned 14. "Cosmic Light" could now record anywhere at any time, automatically programming, classifying, storing, and providing different ways to interact with information. It even successfully compiled a timetable. It was upgraded to "Cosmic Light 1.2."

    Su Hao's younger brother, Luo Chaoxin, had grown into a mischievous child. He seemed simple, but his parents insisted he was intelligent. This seemingly dim but clever child received attention from the whole country.

    Su Hao couldn't help but pity his brother. Growing up in the shadow of such a brilliant older brother would be a nightmare. He would never measure up and constantly face comparisons and rejections. How pitiful.

    That year, an adapted "Water Margin" was published, selling incredibly well. Su Hao became China's undisputed foremost scholar of a generation and was nominated as vice president of the literature association.

    A new piano piece, "Autumn Whispers," was released online and became popular worldwide, establishing him as a rising musician. Everyone was talking about Su Hao.

    Time passed, and Su Hao continued to learn and experiment. A year later, at 15, the marble room was brimming with information, all interconnected, categorized, and organized by "Cosmic Light 1.3." Every sensory input was automatically analyzed, compared, classified, and stored, ready for recall.

    This year, Su Hao had blossomed into an elegant, handsome young man. A young, rich, good-looking, knowledgeable genius was the dream lover for many.

    Su Hao’s younger brother, now three years old, had become the new favorite, pampered and arrogant, the little devil of the family, because he was treated as the best and had the highest status in the house.

    Of course, he was wrong. In front of Su Hao, he still had to behave.

    One day, as Su Hao was programming the marble room in his room, Luo Chaoxin rode his little tricycle into the room, armed with a toy gun, and began firing at Su Hao. "Dududu!"

    Su Hao lifted him with one foot and tossed him out as if he were mopping the floor. Then, he tossed out the tricycle, toys, and toy gun.

    Luo Chaoxin cried, tearfully looking at his parents for help. However, his parents pretended not to notice, not even sparing him a glance. Only then did Luo Chaoxin realize who held the real power in the household.

    ...

    Over the years, Su Hao's familiarity with various disciplines deepened, leading him to appreciate the brilliance of human civilization. Having delved so deeply into this world, he admired the scientists who dedicated their lives to research.

    He also understood the incredible nature of his consciousness residing in the wormhole.

    Recently, Su Hao's research focused on "big data," with the ultimate goal of achieving artificial intelligence. Current big data was limited by the computing power of supercomputers, preventing true AI. But even so, the changes that big data brought to daily living revealed a clue.

    With time, the marble room accumulated more and more information. Su Hao's compilation system linked the information together, enabling future predictions. "Cosmic Light" was destined to become an AI, one of Su Hao's goals.

    Su Hao's consciousness entered the marble room.

    The space was no longer barren but filled with technology, resembling a futuristic spaceship. Displays filled the air, flashing various data. A digital clock ticked incessantly.

    The display read 1 year 3 months 20 days 15 hours 21 minutes 25 seconds, indicating the time elapsed since its inception. The numbers changed every second.

    The main screen wasn't for classifications but for journal logs. Su Hao could review recent information.

    1 year 3 months 19 days 0 hours 0 minutes 0 seconds;

    The update to 'Cosmic Light 1.3' has been completed, and speed has improved by 0.01%;

    'Transmitting sense technology' has been recorded, and a learning schedule has been arranged. Current progress 0.01%;

    Doctoral dissertation 'Big data and AI's trends, applications, and future developments' has been formatted and can be published at any time;

    Invitation for Professor Gao's 'Research on the design of quantum communication equipment' has expired and will be automatically deleted after three days.

    Comparing the room to before, the main computer was offset by 1 mm, the trash was 3 cm away, the lid of the bottle was rotated 3 degrees… conclusion: Su Hao entered the room, hit the computer, bumped into the trash can, and opened the water bottle.

    ...

    Statistics: Journey to the West" sold 10,235,467 copies; "Water Margin" sold 231,656 copies;

    ...

    You could also see the log of the previous day.

    1 year 3 months 18 days 0 hours 0 minutes 0 seconds;

    'Cosmic Light 1.3' has been updated. The automatic identification system has been optimized, the database refined, and accuracy improved by 1.2%;

    'Transmitting sense technology' has been recorded, and a learning schedule has been arranged. Current progress 0%;

    Doctoral dissertation 'Big data and AI's trends, applications, and future developments' has an additional typesetting task which will require 10 seconds.

    Invitation for Professor Gao's 'Research on the design of quantum communication equipment' is expiring soon. Please respond.

    Comparing the room to before, there is an unknown liquid on the ground… Conclusion: Luo Chaoxin blew his nose into the ground.

    ...

    Statistics: "Journey to the West" sold 10,235,315 copies; "Water Margin" sold 231,539 copies;

    ...

    Su Hao didn't need to proactively record anything. Cosmic Light automatically filtered and added information to form a log, providing an at-a-glance analysis.

    'Not bad!' Su Hao said with a small smile.

    Then he grabbed a broom and went out: 'Luo Chaoxin is getting another beating'

        Apologies, looking back I think my previous comment was kinda inappropriate as at that time I use to judge novels based on my personal taste(which this novel does not cater to sigh ) rather than plot, writing quality, etc very-shy
        tho few novels in world-hopping genre which I think are better than this are
        1. Soul of Negary
        2. Reincarnation Paradise
        3. 48 Hours a Day
        4. Carefree Path of Dreams (Not strictly world hopping)
        and a few quick transmigration novels like "I persuade people with Reason"
