Chapter 153: Academy's Mental Training |
"So? How was your first day?" Mel asked as she welcomed the girls inside.
"Besides being a little disappointing, not bad. I'm actually looking forward to the future lessons." Thea honestly answered, as the girls followed her inside.
"What are you saying Althea?! The lesson went on for so long! It's not even as bad as the etiquette classes we had to follow in the past, I mean even Reina was yawning during the lecture." Reisa exclaimed unhappily.
Reina had set her mind that she wanted to impress the girls, especially Thea with her studious nature, but the very first day and she was already having difficulties staying interested in the lengthy lectures, so when Reisa called her out, her ego was hurt a little and she quickly tried to retort what Reisa said.
"Th-That's not true! I wasn't yawning! L-Like Althea, I'm looking forward to our future lessons… Yeah… I am…" Reina said droopily, sounding very unconvincing.
'Is she trying to convince herself? How cute~' Thea thought as the other girls looked at Reina with pity, feeling an equal amount of pity for themselves.
"I'll go make dinner first." Thea said as she rubbed Reina's head. "Could you girls set the table meanwhile, just plates are fine? The food will be ready in about 15 minutes." Thea said before disappearing into the kitchen.
As Thea made dinner, Mel set the table, insisting that she would do it. While the girls were waiting for Thea, Lily entered the dining room, casually finding an empty seat. She however didn't speak until Thea came out with the food. In the end Thea made some Vietnamese spring rolls with homemade rice sheets, paprika, mung bean sprouts, coriander, lemongrass and chicken instead of shrimps. This she served with some soy sauce she had made.
"Fufufu, you girls look exhausted. Don't worry you'll get used to it, believe it or not but this is also how the academy trains you. Being able to stay focused and concentrated over long periods of time is a skill you use in almost any future occupation." Lily said with a gentle smile as she tried to motivate the girls.
"Thanks for the food dear~" Lily said before digging in.
"Hmm, enjoy." Thea said, not only to Lily but the other girls as well as they started eating.
The girls ate until the originally towering stack of wraps was finished, leaving an empty serving plate on the table.
After their meal, the girls took a long relaxing bath. It was now that Thea, under the confused eyes of the others, took out a table from her inventory and placed it in the bathroom. She then took out some towels, rolled some of them up, and placed them onto the table in a specific way. Finally Thea used Sharpy and cut a hole in one end of the table.
"This warm, steamy room is perfect for a nice sensual massage~" Thea said as she finished making a makeshift massage bed.
She then took out some almond oil and looked at the girls in the bath with a smile.
"Who's first?" Thea asked while using her [Hair Clothing] to make a fitting uniform for the occasion.
"How about going in order of age, oldest to youngest." Lily suggested wanting to go first.
The other girls glanced at each other and one after the other nodded, agreeing with Lily's suggestion.
Although it was childish for Lily to suggest this, using her age in this way, it was still the most reasonable order.
Lily got out of the bath and nudely walked over to the table with excitement visible in her eyes.
"Lay down and position your face here." Thea said while pointing at the hole she had made earlier.
Lily looked at the strange bed in front of her, looking at yet another new invention her daughter made with curiosity.
'Why am I getting nervous?' Lily thought as she awkwardly lay on the makeshift massage bed she had never seen before.
Thea took a second to appreciate the view in front of her before dripping some oil on Lily and slathering some on her hands before rubbing them together.
"Time to work my magic~" Thea said with a serious expression, taking her role a little too seriously.
