Eternal life…A blessing or a curse?

But the man who possessed such a gift only saw it as a curse…a curse that haunted him throughout countless years.

He wished to die more than anything else…or at least forget himself so that he won’t feel the pain that haunted him anymore.

His wish was granted, and his memories disappeared as he went into slumber.

Many million years later, he woke up, reborn with no memories of his past.

But after living for a few hundred years in the new world, he got bored of his life and went into slumber again.

However, after waking up a second time after more than a thousand years, he was presented with a vastly different world…a modern world that seemed so different from the medieval era he had lived in once.

Seeing that there might be interesting things for him to do this time, he decided to not sleep anymore and live his life in the new world by doing things that others might consider boring and tasking.

He wanted to be a bodyguard, so he became one. A teacher? Why not? A delivery man? Of course! And so he kept on trying different jobs till he found ones where he could find a beauties to spend his company with.

But even if the man wanted to live a mundane life, his destiny had other things in store for him, guaranteed to make his life, not smooth sailing.

Without his knowledge, mysterious otherworldly forces were in play whose machinations seemed to revolve around this man.

Only fate can tell whether this immortal man would be able to continue living his life as he wished or if he would come upon unexpected paths and choices that could change his life for better or worse.

But most of all will he one day remember his true past? And will his past catch up to his present life? Read on to find out… Collapse

I just can't seem to forget this novel. It had SO MUCH POTENTIAL, and all of it was wasted. The first 100+ chapters of this were awesome, because it really was as advertised: A story about an immortal that was bored. However, the author didn't like that and decided to try and add stakes and a story to it, which resulted in... crap. It's hard to read because of those false stakes. Our mc is a literal eon old vampire/werewolf hybrid. His power is several orders of magnitude greater than that of the literal god of vampires. He is capable of ripping the earth in half with brute strength alone, and yet we see him get tossed around by some scrubs just to add "stakes", after which he "loses control" and kills all the bad guys, then forgets everything, and no one on his side is willing to tell him that he's incredibly strong..

It's rather interesting at the start, the character was full of life, and the mystery surrounding the MC and the women around him got me hooked. However, 200+ chapters had passed and the story of the MC going to college had not begun yet despite so many things happening. Honestly, the pace of the story differs from time to time; sometimes it was fast, but oftentimes it was so slow.

It was really an interesting story and had a lot of potentials, but it started to get worse when the MC's pasts are getting revealed. It was disappointing and I wasn't able to get a strong impact to the story which I am expecting.

Still, I'm willing to give it a 4/5 given how the author did well in molding the personalities of the characters.

This is one of the novel where I wished I actually listened to the reviews because this is horrible, I regret every single second thinking it might get better.

It's a better than average story turned into an average story over time. I stopped at ch 545 and i have probably skipped 200 chapters. The story goes incredibly fast or slow depending how you look at it. For the first 200 chapters, it's basically 50 chapters for day so it looks really slow but there is literally some sort of action each day. A lot of cliches, a lot of face slapping. I felt like the story was better in the beginning when there was no story and it literally looked like a story about a bored immortal, but after 120 chapters the author decided to change it up and add a plot line which really isnt that good imo. The sex scenes are good though lol. The logic is severely lacking at times when is annoying but some people can handle it. The rating is of 3 stars is quite an accurate representation

Don't read this shit unless you want to become stupid. For the record, this was among the first few books I've read as a beginner months ago and I dropped it on chapter 185 due to how repetitive and generic the novel were
    PROS
    - the mc being immortal were really an interesting concept. On top of that, he also has his fair share of sufferings because of his blessing which could also also be a curse
    - fun character interactions
    - there are sex scenes

    CONS
    - there are no story
    - author forced out antagonists since he thinks a story needs one which just destroyed the non-existent story even more lol(some random powerful being appears that could destroy earth then mc defeats it LMAO)
    - author is just prolonging the novel. it gets repetitive
    - it doesn't make sense for a powerful being that could destroy earth to appear the story(it wasn't NECESSARY AT ALL cause all they had been doing were talking and having sex. It's not the type of series like AOT which is needed for the characters to fight and ridiculous shit to happen all of a sudden)

Here's my last comment on this series(chapter 185): Time to drop this sh*t. God taking over the planet earth and bullsh*t. It was really good at first seeing Viktor interact with other people and the mystery behind his past but what the f*ck is going on?! 2 dimensions merging together and fallen god taking over earth means ALL THAT HAPPENED WERE ALL FOR NAUGHT. So far, the characters just f*cked each other then some ridiculous shit just happened like god appearing sheesh. what can they even do in front of that? after that happened then they'll just f*ck each other lol

Its pretty nice actually. I dont get why this novel is getting so much hate. The characters are written with life in them. The story offers you an interesting plot so you can stay and if you do, you'd be offered with more mysterious and seemingly complex plot and story. So yeah the plot isn't predictable and leaves much room for speculation. The world building is pretty decent and their slice of life interactions is a breath of fresh air.

So many reviews say that the mc is powerful but he gets dragged around. Yes, the mc is powerful but I think the reviews are downgrading the mc a bit too much. The mc is lost and confused just as the readers are, and although powerful he isn't omnipotent either which doesn't make the story boring.

The mc is trying to find answers of himself instead of strength because he's confused instead of being scared. His story is to find what he lost and its us readers job to follow him in his journey and understand that although he is powerful, he isn't omniscient like the mc from WAO, he is still an imperfect being.

I don't really believe much in numbers when rating stories because its so vague and its value differs from different individuals. So I say check it out for yourself and berate me later.

The author's other novel was far better where our mc starts from rock bottom and rises to the top and the seggs are awesome..

Here our guy is multiple times more powerful and ancient than even the ancestors of the other superior clans but is still made to be underestimated, pushed around and be like a ignorant kid infront of other supernaturals just with a pathetic excuse like he doesn't remember sh*t..the way he beats people despite being this strong is still made to be like issei, the guy needs some stupid incident tht is emotional enough to bring out his true power..
The starting 150 chapters made it really look like a story of a bored immortal where it was really relaxing to read because of the gud story writing and seggs scenes..well, it starts to get downhill from there for me

At first this was well on it's way to becoming one of my favourite novels of all time, if not my favourite. But the way the author makes characters do mental gymnastics and find reasons to keep things from the mc just for drama makes me angry.

But the mc himself is awesome, even if he does ignore his instincts a lot, like that time he felt something was wrong with someone but decided to ignore it, and surprise surprise, they were not normal.

I've given up. The author royally screwed this book up, and the amount of anger I felt reading the more recent chapters was not healthy.

thanks, I will keep away from this one then as it is not healthy to read novel and be angry at the said novel, there are enough things in life that manage to infuriate you that reading a novel to same goal is not worth it boast

Nah it's still worth reading because the first 300 chapters are really good, you should just stop after that.
