Qi Ming woke up to find that he had transmigrated. He had become a disciple of the Green Cloud Peak, one of the twelve peaks of the Heaven Enlightenment Sect. Fortunately, the «AFK Farming Software» was activated and changed his life.

«Ding!»

«You had been AFK Farming for seven days in the game dungeon 'Shu Mountain Ancient Path'. You have cleared the game dungeon seven times. You have obtained: 1 Seven Star Sword, 1 Sword Kinesis Technique, 1 Top-Grade Foundation Establishment Pill, and 630 Low-Grade Spirit Stones.»

«Ding!»

«The Green Cloud Qi Refinement Art has been cultivated for a day. Your cultivation progress has increased. You will break through to the next level after 10 days of AFK Farming.»

Qi Ming was tired of cultivating. It was too dangerous out there, so he could only cultivate through the AFK Farming Software every day in the sect.
Eventually, Qi Ming reached Foundation Establishment, followed by Golden Core, and subsequently Nascent Soul.

He… became invincible? Collapse

I couldn't get far, only 45 chapters. MC wants to afk and hide, well that is fine. Only he can't and won't...MC wants to be Low Key! However he goes and plays bandit with sect members...

Its very frustrating: MC say he wanna be lowkey but no matter how strong he get, someone one level higher than him will make him participate in tournaments where he'd end up offending someone and making enemies. Ones he solve that he level up, someone stronger comes and make him go through it again. Its a never ending cycle.

Also, there are century old tournaments and secret realm opeing every week. I dont even how other cultivators survive in that world since MC with his supposedly lightning fast cultiavtion speed even cant keep up. Eveytime he break through a new competition start and he is forced to join. ugh

It's more of the same, arrogant mc that takes whatever he likes. I kinda get if the mc is an anti-hero or if the author is going for that, but the authors isn't. At this point the mc and the enemies are pretty much the same, the only difference is that the mc has a cheat, which doesn't really make him interesting as a character.

    It's not the worst time-waster.

Writing my review as of completing all 478 chapters

My overall rating for the novel is 'bad.' but that shouldn't tell you anything, so I'll wind up my explanation and you decide for yourself if you want to read that novel or pass.

So, 'The AFK Farming Software: I Became Invincible Without Knowing It,' huh? The second part is a total clickbait, and we both know it. And while yes, canonically his cheat is indeed called The AFK Farming Software, technically it has nothing to do with either software, or afk farming.

WRITING... is abysmal. Author ran out of things to write pretty quickly, so he filled the rest with 'very good', 'not bad', unnecessary predictions from side characters and trash talking MC's strength, and inevitable copy/paste about how surprised they are that MC is actually not weak.
It is a weak-to-strong type story... 3 FREACKING TIMES. MC starts as a mortal, becomes strongest in the world, ascends, he's now weak again, becomes strong again... and then it turns out there's a heaven above the heaven... bleurgh.

Transmigration itself is mediocre. We never got the answers to the classic questions: why he transmigrated, why him exactly, why he transmigrated in this exact person, why he got the cheat and why the cheat is exactly the way it is.

THE CHEAT. The AFK Farming Software... is complete dogshit. While it seems like a great and unique idea at the start, later it rolls down to just being item duping machine with some flavor to it, occasional injections of cultivation and some item upgrades, which are, quite frankly, irrelevant.

CHARACTERS. While initially, we see a lot of different and unique characters and bring up our hopes for them, very soon we encounter the harsh reality of author not caring a tad bit about them.
The MC also receives very little love from author, not getting any development excluding the initial one, to get him up to speed. Also, don't get attached to his pets, it's not worth it. Double also, MC seems to be eunuch, considering he never even thought about Dao companions.

Techniques: poorly written, often not clear what exactly they do, too many to keep track of, and of course, he never used even 1% of the total techniques he learned. It clearly feels that all techniques are written so that author could make MC pull any bullshit card out of his ass at any desirable moment.

And there's the ending... all the way story seems to be about the destination and not the friends we made along the way, but... I don't even have the words for it, I'll just tell you what I wish someone told me:

Open up the last chapter, scroll to the very bottom of it, and excluding "(The End!)", read the last five lines, they're neatly only take half the line. And then ask yourself: "is it worth it?"
