The Japanese lit culture is hero vs demon king, classrooms of school kid, gorror, and naive authors.

Btw applying the classifications of pack animals to humans is stupid. It's up there with astrology and discrimination based on blood type and genetics. Quit being ignorant and simple.

Each culture has their own characteristically deficient MC and supporting cast.

And because I know it's coming; no, I'm not Japanese or offended for the Japanese. Neither am I your simple idea of 'beta'. I got into more schoolyard fights than most.

In fact, I agree that Japanese lit do have an inordinate amount of indecisive, weak willed and cowardly MC's. But Japanese characters on average really aren't that much more deficient than other cultures'. Just in different ways.

In any case, real life, modern humans are far more complicated than primitive pack animals.

For example, it doesn't have a classification for the typical unskilled and ignorant person who is far more arrogant than they are personally able, and instead make up for it in aggressiveness and abusiveness.

But I suppose that's the point. A system of judgements with a lack of trigger for self examination? Sounds like just the thing for a proud anti-intellectual.
