Fairy Tail: Shinigami by CORNBRINGER

A decent writing on the surface, but if you scratch under the surface you would feel the story is a little hallow.
1. A very fluent, easy to understand and decent writing style.
2. More of a slice of life, rather than action packed novel( Fight scenes are not very good )
3. MC's character and character development is very lacking, first he did not had any motivation then he became a slave( anger and vengeance ) then author made his motivation for strength just for protecting his loved ones only, he does not have any ambition other than that ( very typical and cliché, nothing new here )
4. Rapid POV switches that are a little unnecessary but still gives side characters a little depth.
5. World building can be said to be almost zero. Nothing original and spicy. Author did not write about MC's adventures very much, except for times visiting temples that almost gave same vibes and description.
6. Too much monologuing of Mc and side characters repeating their ambitions and goals again and again( MC swearing to gain strength to protecting his loved ones, same for side characters and antagonists just monologuing their evil intentions )
7. MC's power is barely scratched and Author just nerfed him after 100 chapters by saying his body can't bear his real strength which I find extremely frustrating.
There are some other plot negatives here and there but I will just say overall, This novel is good with MC and side characters daily to daily interactions with good writing, other than that this novel is a hard average or even below average for some readers.

when does he grow up?
i have never liked novels where the mc it´s a kid
im in chapter 35 and till now it has been quite boring to read

This is genuinely a very good fanfic. The story begins more than 10 years before the main story begins, but you will see that this is necessary for the protagonist to have a motivation to do everything he does.

This story really has great writing. There is a comment from a guy who says that the novel has a rating of 2.8 and that the protagonist's sister is a parasite, he is talking shit, there is a character that I found annoying and poorly developed that could be called that, but I just ignored this character .

A decent Fairy Tail fic so far, its not a self insert. MC is older than the main bunch and hasn't reached the point in time where they've all joined the guild.
Its pace is quick, and the details don't have much depth, and so some interactions feel a bit odd/out of place, but not bad
Hes strong, but not unrivaled strong, and its mostly because he has a lot of raw power, but can be outplayed from those more experienced and with more finesse though people like the Spriggan 12, or wizard saints still outclass him by a wide margin.

It's not a bad book, but it isn't really about anything. Mc doesn't have any goal as of yet and just becomes stronger. He has a Bleach sword in Fairy Tail world... It's not a bad idea, but it would be good to watch bleach first, as there are not many explanations about techniques he uses. He is weird. The story is too shallow. Maybe in the next chapters it will become better, but I don't expect it to really help the novel itself.

Well, the writing quality is really good, it flows well, AND the first ch has the phrases "I pulled a Jesus pro gamer move" and "I get my face shoved in a pair of tits every two hours" which is how you can tell it is good


Edit: His IQ seems to fluctuate between a dumbass and a smart dumbass, it is hard to understand his logic, but still a good read
