and about the mc he was very scheming at first. and then he becomes the side character, he doesnt even order the shadow, they do their thing, it work but it makes the mc more and useless. when he thinks he would lose or die, the shadow do their own thing and saves the day, and the mc with his vast experience of 20 year is just unluckly lucky, the dice is unlucky, in the unlucky situation he becomes lucky and reaps the double reward.

This novel is quite unique, I like how the adventures are periodic with rest periods in between, all with rewards and objectives while maintaining a sense of freedom throughout reminiscent of a TRPG. It surprisingly has a lot of heart and is full of emotional ups and downs, the chapters are long and easy to read and the adventures always feel fresh and intriguing. Mc is very likeable and the "necromancy" aspect of it is also very different from what I'm used to, his summons all hold their own will and goals and to truly become their master, you better prove your worth. I enjoyed seeing his interactions with his shadows especially the bromance that unfolded with one of them. Side characters on the other hand have also been quite nice and eccentric. Mc is a loner most of the time but the relationships he forged with some of them really add to the enjoyment and story especially when he unexpectedly reunites with them for an adventure. I recommend just diving in.

I remember someone complaining that with the name snowman it’s still just a necromancer story. Potential is there for a ice-themed summoner - using snowmen and ice golems as fighters with freezing debuffs, etc.

This is a 3.7-4 ⭐ novel a classic Korean tower novel with cliches and classic plots in a reskinned necromancer class called shadow something

if u like tower novels? ABSOLUTELY GO AHEAD.

Otherwise it's still a good read.

Wow, I remember reading the manga of this, insanely good imo the story and the background, since the novel is here it should be even better.
