Driven by his determination to seek the truth, Xiang Kun embarks on a dangerous yet exciting journey to understand his identity and powers.

Nevertheless, to his surprise, he seems to be the first person ever who has undergone those transformations... Is it his destiny? Why is he the chosen one? At the start, Xiang Kun doesn’t have the answers. But he refuses to give up searching.

    You are either going to like or find the story boring.

    There is no external plot driving the narrative forward. Its purely character driven.

    It basically a guy that became a vampire and now meticulously and methodologically recording the changes and training to direct the mutations.

    Plus a B story of him interacting with a girl a college friend hook up with him. Plus her friends.

    Its not a full blown urban fantasy with a hidden supernatural society. Maybe a lot later but so far at chapter 86 nothing has been mention or introduced. There is a minor hit of something supernatural besides the mc at ch 39 but it was a minor thing.

    Its plot structure is still feels like the typical chinse urban setting but implemented pretty well. No stupid exaggerations and no senseless face slappings. Just a nerd more focused on training but not in a stupid way.

    The girls are leagues better than the typical Chinese novel but still a bit lacking in depth. I find the tang girl uninteresting, I hope she does not become the main girl. I like yang but she is destined to be come a side character. The other girl, if I got my tropes right might become the main.

    You don't have to worry about the mc having heroic tendencies. He leans towards a good alignment so he does thing that outwardly seems like "heroic" but inwardly he's doing it more for curiosity, test his abilities and self interest. He's not a hero of justice that is out to look out of trouble

    Uhhh, long time no see this novel😀😀😀
    Here is my opinion and some litte Spoil ( dont worry i wont give out important stuff) (and my grammar suck)

    1st of all this novel is just top notch.
    The mc is a middle-age man with an actual brain, a Brain , that right, A BRAIN !!! He doubt his own power, he test it and he can f*cking uses it right and effeciently. He isn't paranoid but he is very cautious, he hide deeply and only strike when he is sure. I can feel the very vibe of Klein from him.

    Mc's power and it development can make tons of LitRPG feel ashame bcs the power make sense : mc is not instant op bcs he has to tread blindly on the path of vampire, there is no system, old grandpa, old but hot grandma, no Secret Organization that already know about everything and explain to him , just mc himself, and i have to say every news abilities of mc can make you feel thrill.

    And the "Vampire" aspect here is not about Biting others, Blood Magic, or Edge Lord of the night or Just H*ntai in a nut shell. The "Vampire" is like an Evolution Tree, pick the wrong branch and enemy will f*ck u up.

    And vampires here are Rare and Unique, not just like a bunch of bugs appears out of no where.

    Side characters is just awesome, the Girls is just awesome (This is Not HAREM), not too much not , too little with their own Depths and Stories , the Antagonist will appear later and Non Suprisingly, they Also has 🧠. I have to Say watching all the girl finds their own power is just Amazing.

    The Pacing is just right, there will always secret and question yet not to much, and you can feel the Mc raise step by step along with the other Chars while the World backround is unfold. The combat is not the main aspect of this novel, it is about developing and unravel the secret of "Vampire" with a mix of Slice of Life.

    A little Problem is that Mc use a Scientist's Pov for his power so while it make the power structure pretty clear and systemic, the later part where the power is more profound and explained, my head just hurt when Reading it, especially When im reading MTL way back then.

    All in All, again Awesome. Read, Just Read it 👍👍👍
