Damn I only now noticed that this was made 20 years ago and the author was only in his early 20s. I have to say the author really improved a lot over the years really quickly , this novel itself may not be that good but the author still has my respect. He even won a Guinness World Record for 86 months of consecutive daily releases

Power System is wonky

First person.....(pronoun. just why)

It was enjoyable in the school arc, afterwards well just read it. No noticable character development from mc(from my view). Power of friendship , the problem is, it is Impulsive mc + dead weights, I know where it is going and I'm not gonna bother.

Verdict:

This was good BUT you gotta know some things before you dive in.

This books is middle-grade fantasy (I'm currently on volume 2, the later volumes might lean towards older demographics)

It's not for kids necessarily, because saying this is for kids is like saying How to train your dragon is for kids, or saying that Kung Fu panda is for kids, yeah for sure kids love them, but they have a lot of depth so even adults enjoy them equally or even more so.

Let me backtrack for a bit tho, this isn't at httyd or kung fu panda level, just that it's middle grade fantasy in the beginning so those who are all gung-ho about murder and revenge and faceslapping, you won't really get that here, not if you're looking for instant gratification.

Apart from that warning so people who only like MCs that act like the mc of the magus magus something novel can just steer clear of this, this title is worth taking a look at.
