Tang Hao was an honest man making an honest living, but despite all his honesty and kindness, life often looked the other way. Even when he stood up for a man in the streets, he ended up being beaten to a pulp and the man he stood up for? He disappeared. That left Tang Hao with nothing to prove and a hefty medical bill blowing through his savings. However, while he lay unconscious in the hospital, he could feel a warmth coming from the jade pendent he wore as it began to feed him with a trove of priceless information. Now discharged, and still armed with the same naivety and honesty, what will our village peasant do with this newfound power? Will he go on to conquer the hearts of a hundred women? Will he defeat the mightiest crime lords? Only time will tell, but for now, fate has many whimsical plans for Tang Hao. Collapse

I stopped reading the story at chapter 250. The setting and characters were intriguing, and the main character was both righteous and overpowered. However, I had to drop it because the author kept repeating the same elements repeatedly: the protagonist meeting a girl, conflicts arising, and face-slapping moments. There was no clear overarching goal in the story, and it became frustrating. I'm not sure if the story progresses beyond this point, but I couldn't continue because of the repetition. It's unfortunate because I enjoyed the Earth with cultivation setting.

They wanted to break his limbs and disfigure his face . But he just beat them up a little bit in response. The main character forgives everyone and does not take revenge as needed. If I were a hero, I would kill all the offenders

I see, so it is a waste of time. BUT, you are wrong, a hero would just cripple them, not kill them. It is those who are good, but not heroes who kill.

Heroes who dont kill are those weak minded people who have strong bodies. If he doesnt kill a villain, even if he crippled him/her, a villain will still harm others maybe more scheming. Heroes should kill. If not, better be not a hero at all.
