Sigh, I need to go read some wholesome novel or a braindead Chinese novel to heal my heavy soul. This was good and all but reading along as the mc went through so much reminded me a little bit of Eren from AOT. This is a pretty deep novel, but at least it was kinda a happy ending

A really nice novel. When the story was close to the conclusion, it was really psychologically heavy. The whole story just reeks of helplessness and desperate feelings. While (in such works) it's a norm that "the strong consumes the weak", this novel really provides a realistic view of how cruel and futile this concept can be. Choi Hyuk's journey seems to be one neverending battle. He never stops and does literally anything in order to reach his goal. Any attachments aren't that important for him to be in the way of his revenge. He doesn't think about the future or how others will perceive his actions. His feeling are veiled by his fierce personality and desire for revenge. And who knows what will happen once there is nothing that can veil them? Speaking about the secondary characters: they have bright and original personalities with distinctive desires and motivations. Very well-written. The ending was somewhat good. I really enjoyed reading this novel and, in my opinion, it deserves much more attention and recognition

This novel is one of the novels closes to masterpiece. the theme is "revenge" from start to end this guy wanted revenge and he got his revenge. every character felt very alive. having their own thoughts of humanity. and the side character's are also smart. i loved every single major character of this novel. it's regretful that good thing needs to finish and it had one of the best ending. overall 5/5 must recommended.

This novel got wild. Just exponentially got crazier and crazier. Translation was a bit rough, felt really rushed towards the end, but the ending was somewhat good. Recommended.
