I Reincarnated As A Stick by TrueDawn

Still one of my favourites. The plot is fine, great even but the execution is a bit lacklustre towards the end.

I got to chapter 224 before I finally gave up. The premise is ok and fairly unique with animates, pseudo-animates and animates being the main three types of existences. The fact that most of what is available in the game is in this world too helps our Mc out a lot. Also, there is more the one perspective and mini-plot so if you enjoy that then you might like that.

Cons are:
• MC is very stupid at times and silly. He is always overly surprised by things and will do the most random stuff. His mood will shift like crazy, he will get mad at someone for interrupting them only for it to be something important, he will be rude and call someone a bitch when they are stronger than him and gave him some good rewards, he will get a good affinity and then barely use it for no reason at all (mini spoiler is crossed out he gets void skills from an inheritance that he did well it and was given the option to choose his teacher/ruler. He decided to pick the best teacher available since they can't refuse and that teacher is of the void element. He gets some sick moves from it but barely uses them except for the movement skill. The teacher then tries to test him for a different reason but uses the fact that he doesn't even use void skills all that much as his reason instead. Mc hearing this is annoyed about this and even thinks about if the skills are worth it and if he could give them away.) Not to mention he becomes somewhat stupid for the plot due to the goddess's manipulations.

• As I mentioned before the goddess that reincarnates him is actively manipulating things behind the scene because she wants him to be a part of her weapon. I don't mind that being something he has to fight against but when she continually changes things and he becomes stupid for the plot it is annoying. She makes him a beacon to humans so that they will use him as weapon material instead of thinking about how if she waited she could probably get something better that could be made into something epic since she is a blacksmith. Why would you use someone who isn't as good as you in crafting to craft your ultimate weapon? Can he just get the good luck and let him grow until he's the perfect place for you?

• he doesn't really interact with his allies and even his so-called friends. Kinda just talk for a bit and then leave.

• characters' powers are very inconsistent. They could be pretty powerful but not that great and then they could be actually beefy as hell. Still confused as to how those alliances were able to somewhat deter the wolf even though we had been told many a time that animates are like 1000x more powerful stat-wise than inanimates. The rank 4 mage dude was pretty powerful but not by much but now he's a battlemage and 'never gets serious'.

• you can clearly see when the author doesn't wanna write about skills and is figuring them out and when they finally do. We had to wait a couple of chapters to finally understand the full powers of a skill before and now it's pretty much a staple.

There are probably more complaints but I'm tired and I would rather sleep than think about the cons of this novel. It's good for if you want some mindless novel reading but if not the. Just don't waste your time.

So, the mc still be manipulated by the goddess or not? Because I really don’t like this kind of plot.

On chapter 100 and this novel has the most well thought out plot of any light novel over ever read 5/5 read at least 30 chaps to see if you like it

So is this novel just about mc getting reincarnated as a stick and reach deity level in that world so that he can become a weapon of a god? Thats it? Lmk if thats the whole plot
