446 ch read thus far, so I can give a preliminary review. We have the story of a powerful cultivator betrayed by his girl and his brother and murdered. He is reincarnated into another world, with mana instead of qi.

He is from a powerful and wealthy family, and the story pretty much starts at when he is 6 going to academy. There children learn either warrior or mage methods of their mana. From his prior experience, he finds it easy to learn both methods.

Though he has a a system, it is pretty much useless. It allows him to fight a projection of opponents he has met, and gain soul points if he wins, or act in the background automatically. He can spend those sp to raise his stats - but he does it only by a point a month or so, because it throws off his control of his body. So, a system in name, but in reality not a part of the story.

Academy, dungeons, fights with other kingdsoms, hidden realms. A hodge podge of genres here. Sometimes I felt like dropping this novel, but the story is kinda addictive. The novel has a "feel" to it almost like a Japanese novel, with kids fighting, adventuring, being the stars, and getting bossed around by the adults. At other times, the story is matured. A curious dichotomy.

There's been some hints about stronger places than what has been revealed thus far, and as a reader you see the writer setting up things for future plot and revelation.

The MC is not arrogant nor impulsive. He is quite a normal person, if by normal enjoying researching ancient languages, runes, alchemy techqiques, and that sort of thing. The MC wants to "live a quiet life" instead of battling like his last one. We only see the typical MC brashness when around his girlfriend, other times he acts like a normal person would. He even hides his ability as much as he can. The MCs growth is rather slow, though his past experience with movement and combat abilities make him able to leapfrog challenges.

I'm going to keep reading it while it is still being translated, I'll give it a 4 at this point.
