Absolute Great Teacher绝代名师

If you can ignore the unsurprising problems for a Chinese web novel (talking about a childs breasts nearly every chapter, the same cuckold joke over and over, sudden racism out of nowhere in one chapter, a lot of "lol gay" kid humour etc) then this is a slightly boring but readable cultivation story.

The biggest problem for me is that despite constantly talking about teaching there is very little actual teaching. The focus is on the MC growing and not on the students which might be more entertaining in a novel focused on face slapping like LoHP but instead his actions are fairly mundane and he doesn't really take advantage of his OP abilities 200 chapters in.

They're very different but if you want a novel with some teaching where the students actually matter try "My Disciples Are All Villains".


Update now that I'm in the 900s: I'm not going to drop it yet so it's doing something right but the lack of progression is starting to bore me.

He has to keep rolling treasure chests and getting the exact same rewards because the author can't think of anything else (wow another book on plants where we will only hear 1 of 100! amazing!), keep teaching spirit rune classes, keep giving massages, keep getting new students even though most of the older ones have barely been explored as characters, keep meeting new beauties that fall in love with him even though he won't enter a relationship with any of them despite talking about his desires multiple times.

Knowing that it ends in the 1300s it's clear that it has to have either a very open ending (900 in and he has 3 stars which is nowhere near the end) or be extremely rushed where suddenly there's a world/universe ending event or something equally ridiculous.

I was initially hoping this novel would be like History's Number 1 Founder or Library of Heaven's Path. There are minor similarities in that the MC is a Teacher and has some type of system.

Unlike those novels where every single arc is good or interesting, this story has some good arcs and some boring arcs. The writing style is decent, the story progression is decent, but it fulfils the default trope of no cool male characters being friends with the MC - he is only surrounded by beauties who all have heart eyes for him. This has the Harem tag so I guess it's understandable, but so far there has been zero proper physical contact or intimacy with any of the women and we're currently on Ch.956.

Reasonable amount of face-slapping and the MC truly is overpowered. However, cultivation is not the focus of this story - it seems to be more about the adventures that the MC goes on in order to reach the top of the Great Teacher world.

I'd give it a 3.5/5 and say it's worth reading if you have time, but it's by no means anywhere nearly as good as LoHP or HN1F.

You go on boring ass cliche date on boat, not when you want to whoop that stanky how. Leave the IQ and EQ for a moment alone, the common sense of typical Chinese MCs astound me everytime.

10 times better it you imagine the Mc with a cane and using it to beat people withe the heavy metal end.

this novel is like "Library Of Heavens Path"( if u dont know it the novel is good and hilarious for my opinion) that the teachers are the most respectable job in the continent( or world?) and it's focus on teaching his disciples and instead of 'Library of Heavens Path' (the title of that novel is based on the name of the cheat that the mc have) the cheat that this novel mc have is system and focus on teaching but idk if the system he have is comparable in opness that the library of heavens path have
