      the whole idea behind a novel is to immerse its reader in a particularly interesting way such that the feelings in the world of the novel are more than just illusory.
      Some readers do not truly immerse themselves as they tend to skim through details about the environment and emotions experienced at that time by the character,or maybe some just cant comprehend and translate words and correspond it to reality while some are able to easily do it ...either because they have better cognitive capabilities or simply because of their mindset of accepting such things.
