      I think it is good. Not the best of the best but the author at least tries.

      Story is kinda unique i guess? At least i havent read it 1000 times like other novels

      Mc is kinda cringe at the beginning but gets better pretty quick i would say. There are quite a few characters that are likeable and with backgroundstory as well.

      So it really is worth giving it a try. If u like this type of novel then it is for sure one of the best on this site.

      I myself love it and am really happy i started reading it after having it on my list for a long time

    To b honest, the game world detail is vary much. MC got a new skill, and then skill discretions, after that the skill can do this and damage deal and other game staff is so detailed that it become boring.

    Bro I am here to read a good novel. Not to play this game. I don’t need the game details. I want a nice story. But the story progress is so Damn slow and game elements is full details that it’s supper boring. I am just skipping chapter after chapter. I am not playing the game. I just have to know that our mc just know that he knows his power beast. I don’t need to know. I just want to know the story.

    I think people like the story about IRL cause there are some story there which is interesting, like MC goes to mission for supernatural and the other story. But it’s too slow. IRL is very little chapter. Also the story about lineages are nonexistent. Just that there are some lineage. It’s now chapter 500+ but no interaction with lineage. MC’s father or mother. There are also too many mob characters were detailed which is unneeded. Like chapter 13 sasha, who is like a mob character and prostitute Chole in chapter 15. For chole there is description how she was a good character in previous timeline, her detail body chemistry, as if like MC going to f#ck her next but after that she just cast away like a mob character like. Then why the hell I need her detail character. That’s also for so many other character. Why are you have to describe them. Just go for story.

    The author just wants money so you can buy his useless chapter. I lost interest. I was patients and read up to 500 chapter but story won’t go further. Total time waster.

      Also taste of the author for girl is total opposite to 90% male in the world. Peoples like big boobs, but author like big booty. People like white jade like beauty, author like tainted beauty. People like to add some spice like lesbian in story, author add gay in the story (Cobra+Vano). 🤮🤮🤮

        If you don't like it, stop reading it. So what if you like big boobs, the f#ck is that going to do?

        As for the "maid harem" (Draco doesn't view them as him actual wive/concubines). Eva chose them because she wants Draco to be satisfied, but other than that, they are minor characters.

        Here is the way the romance works.

        Eva (IRL Person) - Draco's Wife, Both in Game and Outside Game.
        Draco puts Eva above any other of his concubines. It was said that if they were all kidnapped, Eva would be his prioritized wife. The others come later. This is what it says in chapter 30 about Eva:

        "Eva's was fiery and chaotic. Her obsession was a raging inferno that saw only Draco. Its foundation was Draco. Its existence was Draco. Its sustenance was Draco. The slightest thing about him would see her mind fracture and descend into a further madness than what she had displayed so far."

        Here are two paragraphs about Draco:

        "However, the same didn't apply for Draco. His was a calm and collected fixation that placed Riveting Night's (Eva) existence so high that his own worth was shit in his eyes. "

        and...

        "It was theoretically possible for him to love another woman, but it would never reach the level Riveting Night obtained. (Eva) Even if the second woman had gone through thick and thin with him, loving him to the death, he'd still abandon her assuming she and Riveting Night were in mortal danger, without hesitation. "

        Basically psychopaths in love.

      World building of Overgeared is polished. Everything is executed well that you will not really question whatever author puts in the story because it falls right to its place. While this one, not so sure. It's really weird for me esp the way he f#cks almost every girl. Grid might have a harem but at least, he never had a thought for every girls he saw.

    I'm Sorry, I really wanted to hold till chapter 100 but I could not gloom

    Where do I even begin.......

    This novel is extremely......unpolished. yes, that's the word. Unpolished.

    The MC gains powers that literally break the game world in less than 20-30 chapters. That's not a big deal, the problem is none of that actually matters.

    'Oh, mc got power X? 2 chapters later he gets power Y, which is 10 times better than X' and that cycle continues.

    We don't get the payoff. If you get a power, you expect MC to be able to use it at least. He doesn't. He just goes ahead to get a better power. eyetwit

    What was promised? A VRMMO OP MC novel. only thing is, the VRMMO part is only up to the MC gaining power of gods in stupid fashion in 30 chapters.

    No world building, No player interaction , No descriptions or anything.

    Author just says "Now he knows exactly what to do next" then "He did something, Now he has power to kill anything"

    I don't know if I am getting my point across, my writing skills obviously aren't that good. ANY reader of novels like samsara online, cultivation online, Realm of Myths and Legends etc. etc. will know what I'm talking about. The VR world of this novel is the least interesting VR world I've ever read, not because its uninteresting at its core, it's because it's not described at all. One would expect a good description from an MC who played 15 years in-game.

    I read so much LitRPG. I love stats and levels and gamified worlds. So this is a huge disappointment.

    When we have a summary that says "he is sent back in time and he will dominate the game/world" you expect an amazing journey. Not a 30 chapters Dues EX BS where everything lines up with the stars and galaxies and he becomes god tier. where is the fun in that? if you don't use that, or let the world know and feel it, what's the point of having it?

    So That's the VR aspect , what about the real world aspect? Wanna guess?

    First and foremost, I've seen narcissistic, edgelord MCs. This guy is the worst of their kind. He's a walking talking Chuunibyou (Eighth Grader Syndrome), and apparently its his bloodline trait. Great, we will be stuck with this fckboi for the whole journey.

    The whole "reveal" that he has powers in real life and the plot behind it falls face first onto a diamond floor at light speed, why you ask? cause MC is already training in cultivation type stuff since last life. If MC was a normal dude in the previous life , then the reveal would have had a better effect, but the whole synopsis is thrown out of the window in 50 chapters and we are stuck reading a dumbass drama with edgelord going around being edgy, his bitch being a bitch cause her bloodline makes her one and just the story all in all being , again , boring.

    The world feels like it revolves around him, you don't know anything about the world. its like a map that only reveals itself when you move around, may work in games, not so much in novels like this. How everything happens? Why everything happens? Author throws clever real world words at us, distracting us from the real fictional exposition we need, which is not given.

    Its not a BAD novel, its extremely unpolished. The stuff I've read till 82 chapters can be slowly spread out to 200-250 and make the experience more palatable, but its like the author decided 'I want an op mc, so ill make one. who cares about the world building'



    2.5/5 is the best anyone should give. I don't get why its rated so high.



    I will say this again. I am not good at expressing my points or thoughts. There are a lot more issues that exist, bit they easily slip my mind. All I can say with absolute certainty is that readers of stories like Infinite Mana in the Apocalypse, Cultivation online, Realm of Myths and legends, Overgeared or ANY HIGHLY RATED novel will "game" worlds and OP MCs will understand where I am coming from.


    The story may get better later? I don't have the patience to stick around that long. My strategy is simple. Give a novel 60-80 chapters, if its not good enough, bye bye. middle

    Why that specific range? Its because that's the point where the most novels hit enough words to fill one or two Volumes in a traditional sense, and that's the point where in places like webnovel, the free tier ends. If you are expected to pay from there, the story has to be engaging enough before it.

    The closest call I've ever experienced in the strategy is Infinite mana in the apocalypse. It's one the shittiest Landfills till chapter ~70 , then it goes GOLD.

    I don't see that happening for this novel, for various reasons like the world, the characters and plot.

      Fair enough review but tbh… I did read it for the indulgence in the OP but yes, I would agree irl world is extremely unpolished and lackluster… they could have explored how WW3 changed techs, power dynamics and what resources ppl fought over after that but… it just in the previous timeline ppl just are only in virtual world which welll… doesn’t sound realistic for a tech world that’s only at best 100 yrs ahead and doesn’t even have any Artificial Super Intelligences to run govs.

      Tho for the game world I don’t think… it was supposed to about player interaction but Draco has made clear that he is competing with the top echilon of the western fantasy world.

      Also the irl world involves the entire Galaxy but that is mentioned once or twice then just left hanging.

      Also the way govs are interacting with supernatural and Alien beings who have integrated with humans is well…. U would expect a galactic Civ to optimize Earth’s primitive humans from the beginning for the same reason no one wants trash in their backyard but… they just leave normal humans to decay until WW3 then boom their involvement is increased.


      Idk OPness is fun to read but more like a popcorn read.
      Irl world can be so interesting but it’s just… lackluster

      Tho harem is PEAK tier in making every Wife actually a real person and play important role and R18 is also good.

        I don’t see how the harem was peak tier? At least till 82, he clearly says and acts with the intent that there is only 1 person he’ll truly care for and if everyone is dying he’ll save her. Rest all are seen as side pieces. Maybe not the soul bonded Roma.

        Maybe this changes in the future idk

        My top harems are in samsara online and rise of the anti god.

        The girls should all be on a mostly level playing field.

          By Harem, I meant Harem interaction and Them being shown as Real developed character. I do like this novel quite a Lot

          This becomes Especially apparent in Newer chapters with Existence of Aurora energy, and the fact In Game energy can Recharge his bloodline…. Which shouldn’t be possible if it was virtual. (the Main reason, I kept reading Because this is alluding that MC And Eva are going to be slapped with Cruel reality that Just like Boundless world being virtual, their ‘real world’ could be a Hollow One… (See holographic Principle In Wikipedia for what I mean)

          But While I disdain How He views His harem, tbh its done rather well and that ‘less than’ isn’t really outright shown just an superiority complex which they don’t too much about to fix and just let it but but don’t abuse his harem or sideline his in game wives.

          I agree that Rise of Anti God has better harem (Golden Fox with System is just as great).

          But My reason for Reason RoAG is different from GW, Cuz This book setting is far different both are enjoyable but for different reasons.

          Tho Strong Protagonist from start is a major part too lol.

      Although I agree with you specially with not being able to display your thoughts clearly, this felt more like a rant of what you prefer,

      at least thanks to you I started reading this with a very low expectations and only watching it just because it's well fun, True the world building isn't great,

      But comparing this novel to top tier novels already makes the argument meaningless, like you said it is unpolished, then analysis it in the perspective of how much unpolished it is compared to other unpolished novels instead of saying it can't compare to a top tier novel because it can't.

      It's simple really think of Top tier novels as diamonds, so what happens when you try to compare Diamond with Lead/iron/gold? It is uncertain, kinda like that metaphor, like I have read novels which will make you lose brain cells so when I compare those trash to this,

      I can easily see this novel as more great than those, basically with low expectations comes low disappointment, I never expected anything great after reading your review and just saw it as a casual fun to read novel, so I would say if people want to read this novel, they should have the lowest expectations and just watch it for the funs,

      you probably tried to look at it seriously ( as in having as high as expectations as the novels you mentioned) which is is great but it could also deteriorate people who just wants a casual read and doesn't really care about the world building much ( although I do I just wanted to read something for fun after reading so many plot and world building novels )

      it's a sub conscious mind thing like If someone brutally degrades something it will push people who might have actually enjoyed it just because others said too much bad stuff about it,

        If you compare a 200$ dish with a 20$ dish and complain about the cheaper one, it won’t hold, because the price for them is different.

        Here the cost for both of them is same, and the only factor to see is my time. I’m not here to read some mediocre or trash work, I’m here to read good stuff. I’m spending my time here, so yes, i will compare any and every novel here with top tier ones.

        But You won’t see me going around writing reviews like this for all the bad ones. I just drop the bad ones and be done with it. This one was particularly egregious.

        If you ask why it elicited such a strong and lengthy response from me, it’s because of how baffled I was after seeing the super high ratings for this everywhere, and then it turned out to be a rugpull.

      Bruh he got nerfed in game since he would be too broken for the world, although his biggest cheat is his incredible "luck" & Plot armor, also the bloodlines were explained more,

      so basically you left right around the final stages of the quest which set in stone to balance many things and explain some things,

      although he is still Overpowered but he isn't to the point of breaking the game, if you can handle at least check this novel out for until 106,

      I think the author was more confused of what to add in the Beginning and that's why it seemed so unpolished but it seems a bit more polished even though the mc is still broken as heck

        So, basically, the story started when Kotario reached a point in Reincarnation Of The Strongest Sword God where he decided 'Screw this nonsense, I can write my own and better story', which led to the start of Guild Wars.

        The thing was, in the first 30-ish chapter he just wrote it as a bit of a hobby, maybe joke, since he was also busy working on a Visual Novel. Alas, that one didn't become a success so around that time he came back and took the novel thing more seriously, which shows ;)
