The Heavenly Dao exists.

It decides what is right and what is wrong. To act against it is to sin, to act according to it is to be blessed by its graces.

The world of cultivation is difficult, an unchanging principle. Yet there are those who are cherished by the Heavens, cuddled into rising above all and everyone else. How can this be? Why must this be?

What is moral and just? What is evil and immoral?!

WHY DOES IT GET TO DECIDE?!

So we, the Sinners, we act against the Heavenly Daos, grasp our own fates in hopes of truly overturning them.

This is a Journey of a young boy born Blessed, but turned Sinner.

The greatest sinner of them all. Collapse

'Journey of the fate destroying emperor' is very similar but no harem. Very smart MC, fights for is own control and freedom, very logical, has morals but is ruthless as needed.

'Fantasy me: A destined villain' is another which is kinda similar. Extremely smart MC, manipulates everyone to get stronger, doesn't rely on 'lucky events' but instead plans and schemes, has a harem, never takes a loss.

'Aspiring to the immortal path' is okay in general. Smart MC, doesn't always rely on luck, good at schemes and tactics. (It does have its issues however like purposely stalling base cultivation level to slow story, or author making weakness for the sake of plot. So up to you since its readable at least.)

There are more obvious ones I left out like 'Reverend Insanity' or 'Lord of the Mysteries' since I'm sure you would have already read them as they are extremely popular for excellent world building and having smart MC's.

Upto 600 - 700 chapters it was such a great novel where I read every chapter very seriously skipping very less and far between but recent arcs have lot of useless fillers that ruin the story and greatly slow down the pacing
I just hope it gets back on track pressure

paragon of sin is seriously a very underrated novel. although the side characters are becoming a bit too many to remember or don't leave much of a impression on you in the recent chapters,
so basically like upto 726 it's awesome for everyone.
after that you'll need patience to get through the numerous side stories since they really have become too many.
people on discord tried to complain but as everyone knows there will always be those few fans who are incredibly toxic for the novel so the people who speak out there quickly get muted away.

    Not forgetting {spoiler from chapter 800 to 890 - major problems discussed but also major spoilers so read at own risk}

But do remember that the author is going through some stuff in his life right now and this could merely because of that and when it is handled the story will be back to being awesome.
hope has not yet been extinguished and i can power through for a while, so lets hope that it get's better from here onwards.

also, i would suggest that you do NOT read comments for this novel. the fans have gotten extremely toxic. This is a binge type of novel, and fillers are obvious. Now however fillers and the slow progression rate has left many who have caught up with latest chapters to be criticizing and whinny and the loyal hardcore fans to insult the people who try to criticize the novel. there are lots of arguments and insults between people in the comments section.
Atleast this is the situation at panda novel where i read privilege chapters.

The latest 2 volumes have been boring as f#ck. Especially the stellar rain arc, it was so much filler , bullshit and uninteresting exposition.

Man the latest arc, Mortal Saint Alchemist, is just a glorified filler. Even the name makes me not read it. Filled with cultivation and alchemy mumbo jumbo, it feels bland.

The strongest point of the novel was in fact the masterful way the author skipped the mumbo jumbo and still could present it in an immersive way.

It makes me question whether its the same novel I have been so addicted to?

Well the mambo jambo was already present even during the start. But,the author used the story as catalyst for introducing these things so it felt fresh and innovative at that time. Unfortunately the last handred or so chapters has been a absolute shit feast of non sense which makes me more confused rather than intrigued. Well, we can only hope the short brake from the author will reignite the quality of the novel.

        Well it didn't.

Now i think that the author has prematurely nuked the story by making the protag too op too early.

Unless he plans to start a series of no protag side stories, this novel has essentially lost all its thrill till he advances to the next stage.

Successful novels keep op protags 1-2 levels higher than normal for a reason, kevin has essentially overlooked this critical detail.

Yes I agree, although this is one of my favorite novels, the pace in those particular chapters of the book have been painfully slow and such, I wish Kevin would have spread the information evenly throughout the book more instead of infodumping. I think this is due to Kevin taking that very long break and now he is getting the rust off his shoulders now after inconsistent updates and the hiatus. The recent chapters have been far better and are now very exciting to say the least.

Don't know if I'm only one who feels like the chapters are getting shorter and the exposition feels stretched out of proportion. I recently stated feeling like I'm wasting my time for long well written filler and it's frustrating to see your favorite novel go like this.

It's been this way since last 2 volumes and it's frustrating to say the least and excruciatingly painful to see your one of the favourite novel to go towards money milking road which will lead it to it's death sooner or later. I hope author realises that this isn't da way.

yeah, sine the novel has gained popularity on webnovel, kevin has been milking this novel more and more which slightly disappoints me. Although I still love this novel, its taken a pretty significant fall tbh. I'm not sure but I think after his hiatus, this has become more of a job than a passion for him so he puts less effort into writing this. I wouldn't even be mad of Kevin took a break for a significant amount of time and recover from being burnt out tbh.

The hiatus was meant to be point where he returned to being at least have a stable updates. But as you can see even that never happened. POS has a great theme and greater world building and it's one of the few novels I have been following for a long time. It irritates me to no end that Kevin is wasting it's potential with over due exposition and blown out of battles stretching over dozens of chapters.
I'm pretty sure POS is one of that novels that goes on for over 2500 chapter's. 40% of that will be filler. Hope it doesn't get dropped due to Kevin unable to get his greed under check and it loses it popularity.

I didn't continue that novel since Atlantis arc because i felt it was getting repetitive, does it change later? It was quite good before it was getting repetitive.

Well tbh I don't remember when was the Atlantis arc... I can tell you what I felt about this book. I found it average at the beginning and even a bit boring ngl. I decided to continue on and see why it was at the top. And when it was the battle for his first universe it started to get really entertaining. I think it was the best arc tbh. After that it went a bit down compared to that arc but overall it was still really good and still is up to date so you should give it a try. kef
