Chapter 408: Meeting The Higherups Of The Firelight Shark Clan.

The Great White Sharks exploded in cheers as the last of the Orcas finally swallowed their pride, beating the dust in a hasty retreat.

The outcome of this battle was so shocking that both sides found it hard to believe but they did not fail to react appropriately. While the Orcas retreated, the Great White Sharks also packed their goods, about to leave.

While the Triton Clan retreated to their territory to engage in a hasty preparation to evacuate once and for all from this region where they’ve called their home for over a decade, the Firelight Clan also did the same.

The sudden attack from the 3-Tip Orca Clan was completely unexpected since the Triton Clan already thought that this enemy was dead.

This was the main reason why they were caught so unprepared, but they fell for it one time did not mean that they would fall for it again.

Unlike the ocean volcano region where the Firelight Clan’s sharks stayed previously, this region of the Green Mist Sea was not isolated from other parts.

Like other beast settlements, they had communication channels through which they got information about other beast settlements, mostly the bigger and more established middle-grade and high-grade rural settlements.

Both the Firelight and Triton Clan already heard of the Orca Revolution that was currently sweeping through the Green Mist Sea like a plague, but like most small-grade rural settlements, they only knew very little.

Like all other small-grade rural settlements, their area of influence was limited to their region. Trying to get information about areas that were outside their jurisdiction was as hard as putting a thread through a needle.

As small-time players who still didn’t know the motivation for this revolution, they hoped that it was a small glitch in Orcan higher-up decision making that would be resolved with time but time instead proved them wrong.

They could only hope without being able to influence anything, since if the reality was that this Revolution was just a small skirmish between races would mean that it would be resolved in no time. n((.-./ℯ((--()1-/n

Due to their limited information channels, they didn’t know the effects that the Orca Revolution had on other parts of the Green Mist Sea.

If they knew the wave of chaos and destruction that was already sweeping through the Green Mist Sea, and 2 other Great Seas, they would have never taken the Orca Revolution so calmly without reacting fast.

Though they didn’t know the chaos that was being caused by this revolution, the war-induced by the 3-Tip Empire gave them a good example.

Even if Sebastian didn’t come, if they had survived the battle without him, they would have still decided to leave this home that they were already emotionally attached to.

The fact that the 3-Tip Orca Clan came meant that others were close.

Besides, even for lone predators who hardly had access to most information, every beast who could keep itself safe in Oceania knew that the bonds between beasts of the same species were thicker than even blood itself.

Yes, the Triton Clan and the Firelight Shark Clan could be seen as innocent since the 3-Tip Orca Clan brought the fight to them, they only fought in self-defense but the Killer Whale Empire would not listen to that.

So long as they could simply crush them to death, the Killer Whale Empire was not obligated to listen to their explanation.

Why take the tedious route of negotiation when brute force could solve it?

This was Oceania, not Earth, no parliament would come to sanction the powerful Orcas for obliterating a rural settlement.

This was the reason why both Shark Clans were already ready to relocate.

Relocating was no easy task though, even for the Firelight Shark Clan that settled here not too long ago.

Relocating meant that they had to abandon the well-organized structures of their new home that they recently set up again, it was like they were going rogue again with nothing but themselves following along.

Relocating temporarily brought them back to square 0, leaving them extremely vulnerable. Most beast clans that were annihilated, fading out of history mostly suffered annihilation during their most vulnerable period relocating.

By relocating, they would have to leave their home ground and venture again into the treacherous enemy territory. In enemy territory, anything could happen.

This was the reason why Sebastian finally presented his plan before his clan members once he was isolated away from the other sharks.

Of course, his arrival had a lot of significance to the Firelight Shark Clan. In the old clan, Sebastian, Tungsten, Strong, and Torpedum were the young stars, getting to see 3 of these stars together again invigorated the sharks.

Most especially sharks like Verni, Tosh, and a few others who developed a good relationship with him then were stoked to see him again.

Unfortunately, they did not have the luxury to get together properly. This was an especially tense period in the history of the Firelight Shark Clan, and to survive it, they needed to be focused.

After issuing a series of orders to the sharks on the relocation plans, Tungsten finally organized a proper higher-up meeting alongside Sebastian.

After months of separation, meeting Tungsten and Strong again left Sebastian feeling melancholic. Inevitably, such a reunion would bring back the memories of the good old days in Old Mak’s clan.

As the memories came at Sebastian, he quickly discovered that of the 2, it was Strong that really left him feeling awkward.

Sebastian still vividly remembered how he felt when he first met this muscular shark. Now, Strong’s personality became even straighter and sharper, and his body was even more freaking muscular now.

"What the heck!" Sebastian was dumbfounded.

He knew that he was not right, but he couldn’t help but feel at this moment in Strong’s presence that he was an obese man with a huge belly getting to meet another man with a perfect physique, muscles, and 6-packs.

"Damn!"

This eye-servicing only stopped after all 3 sharks observed to their fill.

"Sebastian, you changed a lot". Queen Heareth finally spoke.

On hearing this voice, Sebastian finally turned to the one relic shark of the old clan that managed to make sure that not all the oldies died to keep the new clan alive and afloat.

Even though he was essentially already at the same beast tier as she was, respect for this shark was already ingrained in Sebastian.

He greeted her with respect, prompting the Queen to laugh.

"You really changed; it does seem that you became a lot funnier". As she made dry jokes and comments to keep the conversation engaged, she suddenly asked a question that made all the sharks freeze in place.

"That thing, the Atlantian that fought alongside you with your magic domain, is that an effect of the rumored unique skill from the Sea King Inheritance?"

"…Yes". Sebastian did not intend to lie, so he simply answered.

"…"

They already suspected it, but confirming from his mouth that he indeed wielded a unique skill now, all 3 sharks had different reactions.

Their silence presented Sebastian with the opportunity that he wanted.

"There is something that I need to tell you". Once he managed to capture their attention, Sebastian finally started. "This Orca Revolution is just the start to something far greater than this..."

In a few minutes, Sebastian was able to summarize much that he knew about the Orca Revolution and its cause to the 3 sharks.

Sebastian really did see them as family members, so keeping something away from them felt too alien to him. Once the 3 sharks comprehended what he just said, their faces turned grave.

"So, what is your plan?" The calmer Tungsten was the one who asked first.

Sebastian was impressed, leadership really did make people mature faster.

"Actually, I already have a plan to rescue you all before coming here". Sebastian spent a few more minutes explaining his plans to them, he also did not exclude his ambition to capture a Mana Lord from them.

All 3 sharks kept quiet for a few seconds as they allowed the impact of Sebastian’s revelations to settle down on their heads.

They were dumbfounded but also felt relief that they didn’t get to know this truth too late. They were finally enjoying a benefit from taking Sebastian in when he was still a young orange tier Megalodon in need of help.

5 minutes later, Queen Heareth and Strong focused on Tungsten with their electroreceptors. In here, Clan Head Tungsten was the shots caller.

On feeling their electromagnetic signals, Tungsten finally raised his head.

Sebastian’s expectations grew as he waited in anticipation.

Tungsten thoroughly scanned Sebastian with his electroreceptors before speaking. "Well, what can I say? We are family, and family sticks together in times of danger. That is exactly what we’re going to do".

Sebastian heaved a huge sigh of relief. "Thanks, Tungsten".

"It’s all for the greater good of the clan". Tungsten smiled, revealing his deadly rows of teeth which at this moment no longer seemed strange to Sebastian.

"Before we go though, we need to keep our allies on the loop". Strong, the Commander who had been silent since finally spoke, taking all the attention once the clan head made his decision.

"Yes, we need to let the Triton Clan know". Tungsten agreed.

Sebastian also agreed the more Great White Sharks that survived, the better in his books. He was prepared to save any Great White Shark that he saw.

Before leaving though, Sebastian had something important to do.

"Sorry Tungsten, but give me a few minutes to reunite with my bros".
