Seeing that Osborne had already lost consciousness, Leo swiftly stored his Death Wake Dagger inside his Storage Ring. Afterward, he turned to look at the staff watching them.
"What are you waiting for? Quickly announce the winner of the Battle Royal," Leo urged the staff.
"Oh, yeah!" The staff instantly snapped back from his thoughts after hearing Guild Leader Loki's words. He hastily landed beside Guild Leader Loki before grabbing the latter's hand and raising it high up. He announced, "The winner of the Battle Royal is Guild Leader Loki!"
In the next moment, the crowd erupted into deafening loud cheers as they started chanting the name of the Mischievous Lion Guild and Guild Leader Loki.
This time, no one expressed any sort of displeasure to how Guild Leader Loki had won against Osborne. Even the people supporting Osborne decided to congratulate Guild Leader Loki for winning the Battle Royal. After all, Guild Leader Loki had miraculously minimized his use of schemes. In addition to that, he did exactly what he said about fighting until only one person remained standing.
Meanwhile, the staff can't help heaving a sigh of relief after he took a glimpse at the unconscious Osborne lying on the floor by his side.
"Did you think I was going to kill Osborne?" Leo asked after noticing the staff's reaction.
"Yeah…" The staff awkwardly replied. When he was watching Guild Leader Loki's method of making Osborne surrender just now, he honestly thought that the former was about to kill the latter. As a matter of fact, he had already prepared himself to fly straight towards Osborne to quickly save him from Guild Leader Loki. That was why he was so surprised when Guild Leader Loki decided to merely use the handle of his dagger to hit Osborne's nape and make him unconscious. Well, who won't? Especially considering all the lines that Guild Leader Loki had muttered before making his last attack.
After announcing the winner of the Battle Royal, the staff flew up in the air again along with the other staff. Looking at the expressions on their respective faces, one could easily guess that something serious was about to happen.
Unlike the usual routine of a competition where the winners and the other top participants of the competition would be immediately given their prizes after announcing the end of the match, in this case, however, Princess Tila and Elmont didn't take any initiative for the commemoration of the winner and top participants in the Emerald Elven Battle Competition.
All of a sudden, a bunch of men from the Evergreen Royal Family and their allies appeared in front of the spectators.
Seeing this unexpected sight, all the spectators immediately quiet down, feeling nervous and afraid of what was about to happen.
"Everyone, you may calm down for just a moment! I am about to announce something extremely important to all of you present in the Victory Arena," Princess Tila attracted the attention of all the spectators.
"Just to make it clear to all of you, it actually concerns either you live or die today!" Elmont interrupted without bothering about hiding anything. Princess Tila wanted to calm everyone down, only to break it once again later with the news of the attack of the Naughty Elves Organization in the Emerald Tree Kingdom. In his opinion, if everyone is already expressing their frustration and other similar hard feelings deep inside, rather than suppressing them, there would only be so little of such emotions left after discovering the truth. Therefore, Princess Tila should not let anyone calm down because that would make things even worse after getting informed and knowing of the unfortunate and dangerous news.
Hearing Elmont's line, all the spectators can't help remembering the time when the people of the Evergreen Royal Family suddenly started killing people. They were shocked at that moment until they announced that those people were actually members of the Naughty Elves Organization.
It didn't take that long for everyone to realize that the news Princess Tila and Elmont was about to say was going to be related to the Naughty Elves Organization.
With that thought in mind, it instantly sparked restlessness and panic in everyone's mind and heart. But due to Elmont telling the truth, and in addition to that, the people of the Evergreen Royal Family surrounding them right now, evidently to protect them from the Naughty Elves Organization, they soon started calming down and pulling themselves back together.
"I see that everyone is now ready to listen," Elmont decided to take over his sister, Princess Tila's place, in announcing the unfortunate news to everyone. After seeing her intention just now, it's probably much better for him to take charge of this job.
Princess Tila was quickly able to understand what her brother, Elmont, intended on doing. And she honestly agrees with that wholeheartedly since she's not confident in taking this responsibility. So, she didn't hesitate to take a step back, leaving this important responsibility to Elmont, with a calm and relief feeling inside her heart.
"The responsibility is yours now," Princess Tila whispered to Elmont.
"Rest assured, I already discussed this with Selina a while back then on whether I should do this or not. In the end, we both decided that I should do this, especially because you and sister Tifa have never had any real experience when it comes to fighting, let alone dealing with something as big as a war," Elmont replied with an assuring smile on his face.
"I know," Princess Tila also agreed.
After getting Princess Tila's official permission, Elmont quickly turned his attention back to everyone.
"I'll be honest to all of you and not hide the truth," Elmont paused to prepare himself briefly. After some time, he continued speaking, "From the start of the Emerald Elven Battle Competition, a war against the Naughty Elves Organization had also begun in the entire Emerald Tree Kingdom,"
Everyone instantly burst into shock and disbelief after hearing Elmont's words.
"How can that be?"
"That can't be true, right?"
"Impossible! I thought you already solved the problem after eliminating those members of the Naughty Elves Organization hiding amongst us?"
"Right! Don't tell me that you were only lying back then!"
"Since that's the case, then why didn't you evacuate us from a long time ago? By now, it should already be too late for us to escape!"
"I know how you are feeling right now, and I completely understand it," Elmont calmly muttered. He didn't care about what the others think, since their words were all full of plenty of loopholes.
For example, the question of why they didn't evacuate them immediately when the war in the Emerald Kingdom broke out.
Think about it, if they had indeed decided to evacuate them when the war broke out, then the hidden members of the Naughty Elves Organization would still be alive and breathing at this moment. In that case, it's next to impossible for them to safely evacuate since bombs will constantly follow after them wherever they go.
Once they arrive in a safe place far away from the war, who can say for sure that those hidden members of the Naughty Elves Organization won't decide to activate the bombs inside of them to blow the entire area into smithereens?
"I will let you freely think whatever you want, and as a matter of fact, I can even let any of you decide to do anything that you prefer on doing, including getting out of this place and saving yourselves," Elmont bluntly said. He continued, "But if you decide to trust us and follow everything that we say, then I promise to all of you right here and now that we will do our best to keep the majority of you alive,"
Naturally, he can't promise that they will do their best to keep everyone alive. Needless to say, that is an impossible task that even the most powerful person in the entire Celestial World can't do, let alone him and the people from the Evergreen Royal Family and their allies. Even if saying that can comfort everyone, he's just not the type of person who would say something as unbelievable as that.
Elmont decided to wait for ten minutes or so to give everyone time and let them decide what they wanted to do. In the end, everyone eventually chose to stay in the Victory Arena and listen to his plan.
"At this moment, we have already opened a secret pathway leading to somewhere really safe in the Emerald Tree Kingdom. It is a place that everyone living in this territory probably already knew about. However, we will still keep it a secret until we finally arrive there, just to be safe from any potential leakage," Elmont raised his hand and pointed towards the exits. He instructed, "Our people are already in a position to guide you towards the secret pathway, so you may start following after them. Make sure that you don't rush and push everyone so you can go first, because even if you get inside the secret pathway before the others, it would still be useless as long as we don't decide to lead you to the safe place,"
"Make an orderly line, follow the instructions, and slowly and carefully move towards the secret pathway. We will eventually be able to reach the safe place," Elmont finished explaining.
