Chapter 172: Death God's Weapon?

This is a space engulfed in golden flames. Qi Bei’s black longsword is inserted into the center of a humanoid golden flame.

“A divine-level soul apparition, born from the seed of a divine soul…” At this moment, the black longsword transmitted this information, but there was no method to break it.

“My obedient son, since you’ve entered, offer up your bloodline.” The humanoid golden flame laughed triumphantly and dozens of flames entwined around the black longsword. It was abruptly pulled out from Qi Bei’s hand and directly merged into the body of the golden flame.

Qi Bei attempted to move but found himself unable to even twitch a finger in this space.

The humanoid golden flame pointed at Qi Bei, and its left hand was involuntarily raised, with the palm facing the humanoid golden flame.

“The Soul Seal that ignites the bloodline inheritance, it has actually fused within this imprint? Oh, there’s even the Dread Seal.” The humanoid golden flame spoke to itself, its tone filled with excitement.

The Soul Seal!

Qi Bei was astonished. The golden flow within the tail of the image in the dragon seal turned out to be the Soul Seal of the Nine Nether Seals. But how did he obtain it? According to this eerie entity, the Soul Seal is used to ignite some extraordinary bloodline inheritance. Does his mother, Lilith, possess some remarkable bloodline?

However, even though the Soul Seal fused within the Dragon Seal, it didn’t ignite any bloodline within himself.

“To obtain two of the Nine Nether Seals all at once… Once I gather all Nether Seals, I can open the gates of the Netherworld…,” the humanoid golden flame continued to mutter to itself, growing more and more excited, as if it had already obtained the Nine Nether Seals and opened the Nether Passage, becoming the master of the Netherworld.

After a while, the humanoid golden flame snapped back to reality and shot a golden flame into the Dragon Seal on Qi Bei’s palm, attempting to extract the fused Soul Seal and the Dread Seal.

However, as soon as the golden flame entered the Dragon Seal, it vanished without a trace.

After several attempts, the humanoid golden flame transformed from initial triumph and excitement into a furious rage.

“That’s right. Bloodline, as long as I seize your bloodline and destroy your body, won’t the Soul Seal and the Dread Seal be easily obtained?” The humanoid flame seemed to have figured it out and laughed again. After speaking, the golden flame shot directly into the center of Qi Bei’s brow.

Qi Bei’s entire body suddenly swelled up. Then it shrank, only to expand again… This repeated process made Qi Bei feel as if his flesh and blood were being crushed over and over again, but he couldn’t even open his mouth, let alone cry out in pain.

“Ah, what kind of aura is this, what kind of power… impossible… impossible…” Just when Qi Bei was in unbearable agony, a roar of fear suddenly resounded in his consciousness.

Meanwhile, the internal energy within Qi Bei surged like waves, and the dragon formed by the condensed internal energy in his dantian was roaring in anger.

Golden radiance burst forth from his body, and the surrounding golden flames were immediately forced back. At the same time, his body began to transform.

“A true dragon… no, even more terrifying than a true dragon. How can there be such a terrifying aura in the world…” The humanoid golden flame howled madly in Qi Bei’s sea of consciousness. It wanted to break free. However, when it attempted to take Qi Bei’s bloodline, its entire body had merged into his consciousness sea, and it was too late to escape.

But it wasn’t just this humanoid golden flame-shaped soul apparition that faced the threat of annihilation. Qi Bei was also in the midst of a crisis of his consciousness sea bursting.

While the soul apparition couldn’t escape and would merge entirely into Qi Bei’s sea of consciousness, his consciousness couldn’t handle the fusion. It would inevitably shatter, causing his soul to leave his body.

The sea of consciousness was the place where the soul resided, and once it shattered, the soul would lose its attachment and separate from the body, becoming a specter.

With Qi Bei’s soul strength, although it wouldn’t dissipate completely, he would become a lost soul trapped within this stone tablet, just as miserable as the five powerful experts within his soul.

However, at that moment, the black longsword that had been fused with the soul apparition inside his body suddenly emitted waves of black brilliance. An astonishing power emanated from the sword, and the mysterious runes on it twisted and transformed as if coming to life.

“The Blade of Silence, it’s actually the Blade of Silence…” The soul apparition roared once again, filled with disbelief and despair.

At this moment, the golden flame body of the soul apparition was gradually absorbed by the black longsword.

“Kid, you better find a way to destroy it, or your fate will be even more miserable than mine.” The soul apparition loudly shouted in Qi Bei’s sea of consciousness.

Soon, the golden flame body of the soul apparition had been completely absorbed by the black longsword, and a horrifying aura pervaded the sword’s blade, reminiscent of the one that had appeared earlier.

Qi Bei exerted great effort to gather his thoughts, attempting to command the black longsword, referred to as the Blade of Silence by the soul apparition, to fly out of his sea of consciousness.

But at that moment, the black longsword suddenly buzzed and trembled, and a tremendous force enveloped Qi Bei’s sea of consciousness completely.

“Boom!”

Qi Bei suddenly felt himself falling heavily onto a cold ground, tumbling and rolling about.

“What kind of bad luck is this…” Qi Bei grumbled, but halfway through his sentence, he suddenly reacted. How could he move?

Looking around, hus gaze froze, and he stood there dumbfounded.

He was in a stone chamber constructed entirely of black jade, and in the center of the chamber, there was a stone bed. On that stone bed, an incredibly beautiful girl lay motionless as if asleep.

“What a beautiful girl.” Qi Bei’s throat rolled, but his sense of alertness rose to its peak.

The girl had long, flowing black hair cascading down like a waterfall, and her body lay on the stone bed. Her translucent skin resembled crystal, pure and flawless. The contrast between white and black was striking, with the white becoming even whiter and the black becoming even blacker. It was a stunning combination of day and night intertwining.

Qi Bei leaped forward and slowly approached the stone bed.

As he gazed closely at the breathtaking beauty, his mind was struck as if by a heavy blow. His soul seemed to leave his body, and he involuntarily reached out his hand to touch the girl’s face.

“Clang!”

A black sword aura shot towards Qi Bei’s forehead like lightning, instantly chilling him to the core and bringing his wandering soul back to its place. But it was already too late.

In a critical moment, Qi Bei let out a loud roar and grabbed the black sword firmly with both hands. The sharp blade cut through his hands, and the sword’s body was instantly dyed red with blood.

Qi Bei’s mind became dizzy, and the image before his eyes began to blur.

In a haze, he saw the girl on the stone bed dressed in a black robe, sitting on a throne made of bones in the void, while he himself knelt humbly below.

“You, lowly creature, are you willing to offer your soul to me? I can grant you everything in the world: power, status, beautiful women, everything you desire.” The girl’s voice echoed in Qi Bei’s mind, and in an instant, he seemed to taste the infinite satisfaction brought by power, status, and beautiful women.

This was divine authority, true divine authority, capable of crushing all resistance and willpower.

“I…” Qi Bei’s consciousness became hazy, and he subconsciously wanted to say the words “I am willing.” But as the words reached his throat, a resounding dragon’s roar suddenly echoed within his soul. An indomitable power surged forth from within him, like fireworks blooming in the darkness, brilliant and unstoppable.

“Surrender, do not attempt to resist. The darkness in your heart is laid bare before me. You are lustful, greedy, and fearful. You possess all the vices inherent in humanity. As long as you submit to me, you can have everything.” The girl looked at Qi Bei as if observing an insignificant ant, her words carrying an irresistible charm.

Beads of sweat formed on Qi Bei’s forehead, slowly sliding down. The girl’s words were like poison, and despite knowing that hell awaited him, he felt an impulse to jump into it regardless.

“I… damn it…” Qi Bei suddenly raised his bowed head, his black pupils shining like the brightest starlight.

“Say it!” The girl on the throne stood up abruptly, staring at Qi Bei intensely.

Qi Bei felt a piercing pain in his eyes, as if thousands of needles were pricking them, and his body felt like it was being crushed by a mountain, bending his once-straight spine.

“Damn it… You’re fucking annoying, aren’t you? Saying it once isn’t enough, do I have to say it several times?!” Qi Bei shouted.

“I am lustful, I am greedy, I am fearful. But you forgot one thing—I am also arrogant. My soul is more noble than any god’s. You can’t handle it. Hahaha!” Qi Bei laughed maniacally, his humble figure growing taller, surpassing the girl in an instant.

“Then die!” The girl, unable to believe it, exclaimed angrily, pointing her pitch-black long sword directly at him.

Qi Bei suddenly felt a sharp pain in his forehead, and the scene before his eyes returned to the stone chamber.

The black sword he was holding began to struggle violently, while the girl on the stone bed, whose eyes had opened, emitted a chilling aura.

“It’s you who will die!” Qi Bei roared, and a dazzling golden light appeared in the palm of his left hand, with the shadow of a dragon coiling around it. Gripping the sword blade tightly with both hands, he forcefully thrust it into the girl’s chest.

Qi Bei’s expression became ferocious as his bloodied hands poured blood onto the girl’s chest. His fierce gaze refused to yield even a fraction to the girl’s eyes, which seemed to gather all the malice in the world.

Finally, the girl’s eyes closed unwillingly.

The entire stone chamber suddenly began to collapse. Qi Bei felt a dizziness and disorientation, and when he opened his eyes again, he found himself back in the space engulfed in golden flames, and in his hand was the black sword.

The runic symbols on the black sword’s blade seemed to faintly converge into a skull.

“What’s going on? Who was that girl?” Qi Bei muttered to himself, his whole body drenched in cold sweat. In the face of the girl sitting on the bone throne in that stone chamber, his willpower proved to be so fragile.

“Wait a minute, the Blade of Silence… Isn’t it the weapon of the legendary God of Death?” Qi Bei suddenly shivered, staring fixedly at the black sword in his hand.
