Chapter 368: ATTACK ON SEVERANCE ACADEMY II |
Quite a few minutes had gone by since Emma started guiding the pure QI into Drake's body, and since she started, Drake didn't make a sound, nor did he wince like most of the people there were expecting him to.
Some of them started to think that the Seraphim team members were masochists, they thought that Drake was faking the calmness. Soon enough, Drake felt his cultivation begin to rise and in no time his cultivation returned to its previous state.
A smile appeared on both Emma's and Drake's faces. "My cultivation is back," Drake said lightly, feeling his heart calm down now. At least he had the power to protect himself once again.
Everyone around stared at Emma as if she was a treasure. This shy girl with such heaven-defying abilities is being raised in a place like this, they all had thoughts of taking Emma back to their various organizations and making her join them.
Her ability to return a person's cultivation to its previous state and even guide QI into a person's core is an invaluable ability to them.
"Drake, go and guard the entrance while Emma works on another person." Camron quickly suggested.
"On it." Without wasting any time, Drake ran to the entrance and stood there.
"I'll go next." Adrian stepped forward and held Emma's hands.
A blush crept up Emma's cheeks when he did this but she quickly shook them off and started to guide Pure QI into Adrian.
Over at the Severance academy guest inn, Xiao En was seated in a café, not giving any reaction to the fact that her cultivation suddenly disappeared. She wasn't worried about her wellbeing to be specific. She was sure that nothing could hurt her even while she was in such a state.
-Boom!
The echo of an explosion reached Xiao En's ears and immediately, the steward appeared beside her. Following behind the steward, teacher Tsukishima also appeared a second later.
"Are you alright, Young Mistress?" They asked at the same time.
Xiao En picked her cup of tea up and sipped a bit from it. She shrugged her shoulders before answering. "More or less."
The steward smiled at her reply and just stood there. He was aware of what was going on in the Severance academy, but he couldn't care less unless it affected Xiao En. The formation couldn't affect him in any way as it was too weak for a being like him.
The same thing could be said about teacher Tsukishima, he also wasn't affected by the formation. And he also couldn't care much about other things unless they affected Xiao En.
"Old steward… what is happening?" Xiao En finally asked.
"Some enemies of your grandfather's school placed a formation to seal the cultivation of everyone within the academy. They have invaded the academy grounds and are carrying out a massacre." The steward replied.
"Wow, finally, some twist and change in daily activities." She paused for a second. "What about that annoying man, Grandpa, is he good?" Xiao En asked reluctantly. The Principal of the academy is the only person she cared about in the lower plain realm.
"Your grandfather is fine at the moment. I have been monitoring him for a while now. He can undo the restriction on his cultivation if he just stops suppressing his powers. He has been here for many years and refused to ascend to a higher plain realm. If he wants to break the seal, he just needs to breakthrough. I believe that he has his means of doing so even in this situation." The steward explained to her.
"So indirectly, what you are trying to say is that Grandpa hasn't ascended to a higher plain realm because I am holding him back here?" Xiao En said bitterly. "I didn't ask him to do that for me. He can go wherever he wants for all I care. I am going to stay here until that dumb father of mine misses me and comes to take me back home. Until mother realizes how much she loves me."
"I never insinuated anything like that, Young Mistress." The steward uttered with a knowing smile on his face.
"I know, but that's what I heard." Xiao En replied before leaning back. She raised her head and looked up to the bright afternoon sky.
"I would feel better if one of you keeps an eye on Grandpa for me." Xiao En muttered.
Teacher Tsukishima looked at the steward before giving a nod, he then disappeared, heading over to where the principal of the Severance academy is.
Xiao En was about to take another sip from her cup when she paused once again. "What about that little rascal? Alexander?" She asked.
Although Xiao En didn't care much for Alex, she wouldn't mind giving him a helping hand because of Nana.
"Alexander has left the school grounds since… actually, he suddenly disappeared from the range of my spiritual sense." The steward replied.
"He has gone that far? But it has almost been a month, does he plan on not returning?" She wondered.
"I don't think that is the problem. He disappeared when he was on an island not far from here, and while every inch of that island is within my spiritual sense, he disappeared from there and I couldn't see it coming."
This information made Xiao En frown.
"Furthermore, there are powerful beings from the Celestial plain realm on that island now. I don't know what is going on there at the moment, but Alexander might be in danger." He finished.
"There's not much we can do for him, why don't we inform Nana that her precious disciple might be in danger. Make sure you add that powerful beings from the Celestial plain realm are here too. Knowing her, she would freeze her way to the lower plain realm." Xiao En chuckled mischievously.
"I will send a notice to her." The steward replied calmly.

Guiding QI into others took a bit out of Emma. She helped almost everyone in her team to get their cultivations back. Now she was doing it for Camron, and after Camron, she would help Gustavo get his cultivation back.
The other teams by the side were watching in anticipation, they too wanted Emma to help them get their cultivations back.
However, Emma had no such intentions. They all had people to worry about on the academy grounds. Their friends might be in danger, and the more time they spend here, the higher the chances of their friends being killed.
Camilla who had been standing by the side decided to approach Emma and ask her to help her, but not for free. She understood the concept of giving and taking. The person giving should take something in return, mutual concessions.
Right after Emma was done with Camron, she paused to catch her breath for a minute. "Take your time Emma." Gustavo urged. He didn't see the need to rush her.
"No, I am sorry to say, but we might need all the hands we can get. Emma, help a few more people after you are done with Gus, but do it at your own pace." Camron added, he didn't want her to overwork herself. "I'm going to step out now to search for my siblings. Someone will also have to go and search for Alex."
"I will go. It will be hard for anyone to obstruct my way with all the noise being made." Adrian volunteered.
"I will need assistance, Drake, you're with me. Katherine, you stay here and guard the entrance while Emma continues to help others get their cultivations back. Gus, when she's done with you, you will be needed out there. With your body's specialty, you can hardly get hurt making you a suitable tanker. Try and save as many people as you can." Camron gave his command before rushing for the exit and Drake quickly followed behind him.
Everyone that heard Camron speak felt touched by his commands. In their minds, they praised him for being a good leader.
"I am ready," Emma said, bringing everyone's attention back to her.
Katherine took her position by the exit, guarding it.
In a second, Emma began guiding pure QI into Gustavo's body…

Meanwhile, on the Celestial plain realm. On one of the territories owned by the Claus clan,
Nana was seated, naked in a hot spring, enjoying the warmth it brought to her. Most of her body was submerged underneath the water and only her face was above.
"Young Mistress," A sharp female voice called out from the entrance of the hot spring.
"What is it?" Nana asked lazily.
"We just received a message from the Lower plain realm." The voice replied.
Nana's brows furrowed a bit when she heard that it came from the Lower plain realm. There were only 2 people on the Lower plain realm that could send a message to her clan directly.
"What does it say?" Nana questioned.
"It says that there are a lot of powerful people from the Celestial plain realm near the academy and that Alexander might be in danger."
Immediately Nana heard that Alex might be in danger, the hot spring froze in an instant. Nana's body slowly floated out of the ice. She waved her hand and a light blue dress appeared in front of her.
In just mere seconds she was dressed and there was no sign of water on her. "I will kill anyone from here that touches him.." She whispered and tore through the Excepto in a flash.
