Chapter 806: White Fang and The Snake (2)

"You are training?"

Orochimaru asked his own question again.

This question was answered lightly by Sakumo yesterday.

Sakumo nodded slightly, walked to Orochimaru's side, and pulled out the short sword stuck in the tree.

"When I was training, I didn't like being seen by the others, so don't hide and peek at me in the future."

Orochimaru smiled and said, "Okay."

Sakumo looked at Orochimaru. 'This handsome boy seemed to be a little different from ordinary people.'

"Why are you here?"

Sakumo didn't know why he asked, but he just asked.

Even when he asked, he was surprised.

"Because I am waiting for you."

Orochimaru said without thinking, with the same smile on his face.

Hearing this, Sakumo was stunned for a moment and said, "Waiting for me? Why?"

"Because you are very powerful."

Orochimaru said while pointing at the large tree that Sakumo cut down yesterday.

"Just because of this?"

"Also because you are very interesting."

"Interesting?"

Orochimaru nodded and said: "You look smarter than that guy Jiraiya."

"Jiraiya?"

'Another strange name.'

Sakumo thought about it, and felt that he is targeted by a strange guy.

Sakumo put the short sword back into the scarab on his back, and then he turned to leave.

But Orochimaru suddenly said: "Sakumo, why are you training?"

Sakumo stopped when he heard this.

'Why am I training?'

Sakumo himself does not know the answer of this question.

Because he has always been asked to do so by his father.

The Hatake Clan was originally not prosperous, and in Sakumo's father's generation, there were only a few people left.

And Sakumo is the only teenager in the current Hatake Clan.

High hopes was placed on him.

Fortunately, Sakumo showed great potential at a young age.

The Hatake Clan Sword Technique seems to be tailor-made for him, and after reading it once, he has mastered it.

Although only in its shape.

But for a child who is only seven or eight years old, it is already extremely rare.

Sakumo's father believes that Sakumo is the hope for the revival of the Hatake Clan.

Therefore, he always told Sakumo to never stop training.

That kind of training volume is not something that any child can easily complete.

But Sakumo gritted his teeth and persevered.

Although his swordsmanship has not reached a high level yet, Sakumo's willpower has long been far beyond ordinary people.

Sakumo was only performing these training tasks mechanically, and if someone wanted to ask him why, he wouldn't know how to answer that.

And he was also originally a person who was not good at expressing himself.

"I don't know."

Finally, Sakumo spit out these three words softly.

This is his truth.

Of course, this answer is unable to satisfy Orochimaru.

"If you don't know, why do you have to train so hard?" Orochimaru was puzzled.

"Because I want to live up to tou-san's expectations."

"Tou-san?"

Orochimaru was stunned, and his right hand under his wide sleeve was tightened slightly.

This word is a bit heartbreaking for him now.

His parents have just passed away.

Just like all the Shinobi who died to protect the village.

They are the same, and the two of them are very ordinary.

When they were alive, they didn't seem to have any expectations of themselves.

If anything, it seems that they wish they could live a normal life.

Just as Shinobi, how bland.

A few days ago, Orochimaru had been favored by Sarutobi Hizan because of his outstanding talent. After graduating from the Academy, he would become his student.

He is a man destined to become a Shinobi.

The change in Orochimaru's expression did not escape Sakumo's eyes.

Although Sakumo is not old, he has seen that look a lot of times over the years.

That is the expression of losing loved ones.

Bitter and helpless.

At the same time, full of confusion.

He didn't know why, but Sakumo suddenly has some sympathy for this handsome young man.

After all, he is a child who has lost his mother.

"Sorry."

Orochimaru came back to his senses and asked in confusion: "Sorry? Why?"

"Looking at your expression, you must have lost your loved one."

Hearing this, Orochimaru did not show a sad expression, but instead said: "You are really smarter than that idiot Jiraiya."

Seemingly surprised by the change in Orochimaru's expression, Sakumo didn't know what to say for a while.

"Are you a Shinobi?"

Orochimaru pointed at the forehead protector on Sakumo's head.

He knew that it was something that was granted only to someone who becomes a Shinobi.

It symbolizes the glory of Shinobi.

"Yes."

"Why did you become a Shinobi?" Orochimaru asked.

Sakumo was stunned again.

This young man, who looks younger than himself, always seems to ask questions that he doesn't know how to answer.

Sakumo knows that this person, like himself, is a gifted person.

Because these questions are simply not something that children of his age should consider.

"Because of the others' expectations." Sakumo pondered for a moment and answered.

"Is that so?"

Orochimaru lowered his head, and it is unknown what he was thinking.

"Such a reason, I'm so envious."

Orochimaru smiled, very gently.

Under the sun, that smile makes people's hearts softer.

But Sakumo felt a little distressed when he heard this.

'Has he no longer even had such expectations?'

The term orphan is really distressing.

"Can becoming a Shinobi change the life and death?" Orochimaru suddenly said.

Sakumo shook his head without thinking, and said. "How could it be possible! I have never heard of such a Ninjutsu."

"Is that so?"

Orochimaru was a little disappointed, but then showed a confident smile.

"Even if you haven't heard of it, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Maybe, I can create such ninjutsu in the future. Maybe I can see my parents again. What do you think, Sakumo?"

Orochimaru said while looking at Sakumo expectantly.

Sakumo knows that he wants a positive answer.

Orochimaru hopes that someone will agree with him in thinking that this is not an impossible thing.

Orochimaru knew that the big idiot Jiraiya would only thought he was going crazy if he knew what he was thinking.

Sakumo nodded subconsciously, wondering if he really thought it was really possible, or if he simply didn't want to disappoint the handsome young man in front of him.

Sure enough, after Sakumo nodded, Orochimaru showed a delighted smile.

"Thank you, Sakumo."

Orochimaru said with a smile, but tears filled his eyes.

Under the sunlight, something strange seemed to flow in those eyes.

Tears ran across the pale face, across the corners of his mouth, and then dripped on the green grass.

Sakumo was shocked.

'He cried?'

'Why?'

Nobody knows.

Sakumo took out the white cloth for wiping his sword in his ninja bag and handed it to Orochimaru.

"Here, don't cry. Men are not allowed to cry."

A gust of wind blew, and Orochimaru's tears seemed to have been blown dry.

"Really? Then I won't cry anymore."

Instead, he showed a faint smile.
