Chapter 458: , worshipers

“The lesson ends here. Actually, it’s all relatively simple content.”Jose glanced at the time and stopped talking.

This time, Jose only talked about some basic concepts related to website construction. There was no World Wide Web in this world, but after knowing the core concept of the World Wide Web, it was not difficult for Jose to create a similar one.

The surrounding spellcasters still seemed to have problems. Just as Josh was about to explain to them, there was a sudden commotion outside the library.

Myrcella reacted almost immediately. She patted her sleepy face and ran out of the classroom of the library to the hall outside.

But when Myrcella ran into the hall, she found that Cheryl was signing autographs for her readers unharmed.

The guy that Myrcella had expected to take revenge on the judge did not appear. The commotion came from the center of the hall.

A group of young people gathered together. They seemed to be surrounding someone. Myrcella vaguely heard someone calling ‘Miss Tyreen’.

Tyreen? Wasn’t she an elf who held the position of Bard in the Hearthstone Tavern?

Myrcella looked at the people surrounding Tyreen. A part of her gaze made Myrcella suspect that they had seen a ‘god’.

Without waiting for Myrcella to make a move, Joshua walked quickly from the other side to Tyreen, who was in the middle of the hall.

“Mister… Mister Joshua!”

The Frost Elf Lady, who was surrounded by the crowd, was so touched that she almost cried when she saw Joshua.

“Don’t talk, you’re going to run away.”

Joshua relied on the powerful physique of the chaos demon to walk into the crowd. Then, before Tyreen could react, he directly picked up the frost elf.

“Urgh…”

Being picked up in public made the frost elf cover her face in shame. Even her pointy ears turned crimson.

However, Tyreen did not resist..

Tyreen’s body was very slender, but surprisingly, she was much lighter than Hiri. Joshua carried her out of the crowd and ran directly to the upper level of the library.

Fortunately, Joshua’s ‘students’, the gray-clothed man, and a group of ‘teaching director’-level spellcasters from the RUERSK Advanced Magic Academy walked out of the hall.

At this moment, Joshua could clearly feel that the air had fallen into silence. The students from this magic academy were no longer in the mood to shout ‘Miss Tyreen, please sign my staff’or anything like that.

Joshua successfully shook them off and placed Tyreen in an empty corner on the second floor of the library.

“Did… did I do something wrong? Why did those human mages… surround me, and what did I sign…”

Tyreen’s daily activity range was the street near the Hearthstone Tavern.

The entire street had been contracted by the dwarves. Under the protection of the dwarves, if those humans did anything inappropriate to Tyreen, someone would immediately step forward to stop them.

Unfortunately, there were no dwarves in this academy.

“They are very likely to be your fans or simply like the stories you tell. In short, they are your admirers.”

Joshua felt that it was necessary to tell Tyreen patiently, ‘how famous is she now?’

“Things that you signed with your own hands might be treasured as treasures. This tradition is also common in Faroese. For example, a magic staff with an autographed signature of the flower of Faroese. If it was put on the market, the price would be doubled or tripled.”

“I don’t really understand these things.”Tyreen paused for a moment and said, “I saw on the forum today that sister Denise is officially selling her works, so I wanted to come here to take a look.”

At this moment, Joshua entered a state of ‘vigilance’. How could a good elven girl actually read those things?

Joshua had also read the books written by sister Denise. Although two of them could be described as ‘unsightly’, the other two short stories took the path of fairy tale healing.

Therefore, Joshua was willing to believe that Tyreen liked those two short stories.

“Anyway, Tyreen, the next time you go out, I suggest you wear a mask or a veil.”Joshua sized up the frost elf again and added, “And a hood.”

In the future, when the Frost Elf went out, Joshua might consider finding her a powerful bodyguard.

After all, although the threat of the Heretic Inquisitor was far away, it did not disappear.

Upon hearing Joshua’s words, Tyreen’s face revealed a worried expression.

“Do you feel uncomfortable? It’s normal to have this kind of distress,”said Joshua.

“No, I’m not uncomfortable…”Tyreen looked at the position of the library stairs. “It’s just that everyone rushed over so enthusiastically just to ask me to write a paragraph with a pen. This isn’t an excessive request.”

So she was blaming herself?

“The library today is reserved for the two nuns. If you go down, Nolan will probably have a lot of people rushing over.”

Joshua never doubted the speed of information dissemination of the magic net. After all, he created this thing himself.

“But I can arrange for you to meet your admirers or hold a concert as I told you last time.”

Joshua felt that it was necessary to let this frost elf perform once.

Recently, Joshua had been busy with work, so he had been letting Tyreen stay in the voice of Nolan to sing lullabies and tell all kinds of stories.

Although the number of people listening to Tyreen’s program was stable at around 70,000, these 70,000 people were also the steady ‘nourishment’provider of the world tree.

But the growth rate of the world tree, Joshua still felt… was too slow.

The World Tree was the foundation of everything in the magic net. Whether it was the construction of the website or the construction of the game server in the future, they all needed to rely on the world tree.

So, it was time for a catalyst.

“Concert? Is it the same as the performance of human opera artists in the theater?”

“You can understand it as a theater performance that will be ten times larger. There will be tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of people listening to your singing.”Joshua looked out of the window of the library, through the window, he could see the magic arena in the distance. “That place is very suitable.”

“I think I need to practice.”

Tyreen did not realize that Joshua was asking for her opinion. This Frost Elf already had absolute trust in Joshua.

“Practice is necessary. At the same time, there are rehearsals and promotions. I’ll also write a few new songs for you.”

With Joshua’s current ability in Nolan, it was not difficult to organize a concert. The key was that Joshua wanted to hold a concert in Faroese.

But the prerequisite was that Nolan’s concert was a success.

“Is there another new song?”

Joshua saw the emotion called expectation in the eyes of the frost elf. For a singer, there was nothing happier than meeting an excellent lyricist and composer.

“I’ll let you change your style. As for the books you want, Tyreen, please wait for a while. I’ll arrange for you to meet the author alone. This is also considered an employee benefit,”Josh said.

    Chapter 458: Worshipers
“The lesson ends here. Actually, it’s all relatively simple content.” Joshua glanced at the time and brought his lecture to a close.

This session had covered only the foundational principles of website construction. While the World Wide Web didn't exist in this realm, Joshua recognized that once the core concept was understood, replicating it would be a straightforward endeavor.

The surrounding mages still wore expressions of bewilderment. As he prepared to offer further clarification, a sudden surge of noise erupted from beyond the library doors.

Messai’s reaction was instantaneous. She briskly patted her sleep-tinged face and dashed from the classroom, emerging into the bustling hall.

Her initial concern, however, quickly dissipated. She found Cheryl amidst a throng of readers, calmly signing autographs and appearing perfectly safe.

The anticipated vengeful figure targeting the heresy inquisitor had not materialized. Instead, the source of the commotion was a dense gathering in the hall's center.

A cluster of young individuals had formed a tight circle, seemingly surrounding someone of importance. Messai distinctly heard the repeated calling of ‘Ms. Tylene’.

'Tylene? Wasn’t she the elf who held the Bard’s position at the Hearthstone Tavern?'

Her gaze swept over the fervent crowd surrounding Tylene. A peculiar intensity in their eyes sparked an odd suspicion within Messai, as if they were beholding a divine being.

Before Messai could intervene, Joshua moved with surprising speed towards the heart of the commotion where Tylene was engulfed by the crowd.

    “Mister… Mister Joshua!”

Tylene, her small frame lost within the sea of admirers, was overcome with emotion at his arrival, her voice thick with unshed tears.

    “Don’t talk, you’ll be swarmed.”

Leveraging his chaos demon strength, Joshua effortlessly navigated through the press of bodies. Without giving Tylene a chance to react, he scooped her up into his arms.

    “Urgh…”

The unexpected public display of being carried left Tylene flustered, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment that extended even to the tips of her pointed ears, now a vibrant crimson.

    Yet, she offered no resistance.

Despite her delicate build, Tylene was surprisingly light, even more so than Ciri. Joshua swiftly carried her out of the throng and ascended the stairs to the library's upper level.

Fortunately, Joshua’s ‘students’ – the venerable gray sage and a cohort of ‘professor’ level mages from the esteemed Lursk Advanced Magic Academy – emerged from the hall, their presence instantly commanding attention.

Joshua sensed the abrupt hush that fell over the previously clamorous hall. The magic academy students, their earlier enthusiasm palpable, were now subdued, their shouts of ‘Ms. Tylene, please sign my staff’ and so on were silenced.

Successfully extricating Tylene from the adoring crowd, Joshua set her down gently in a quiet corner on the library’s second floor.

“Did… did I do something wrong? Why did those humans… surround me, and what did I sign…”

Tylene’s usual world revolved around the familiar street adjacent to the Hearthstone Tavern.

That entire stretch was under the protective contract of the dwarves. Their vigilant presence ensured that if any humans behaved inappropriately towards Tylene, they would be swiftly reprimanded.

Tragically, no such dwarven guardians were present within the academy’s walls.

“They are very likely your fans, or simply captivated by the stories you weave. In essence, they are your admirers.”

Joshua felt it was crucial to patiently convey to Tylene the extent of her newfound fame.

“Items you’ve personally signed are likely to be treasured. This tradition is quite common in Farucci. Imagine, a magic staff bearing the autograph of the Flower of Farucci. If placed on the market, its value would easily double or even triple.”

“I don’t really understand these things.” Tylene paused, her brow furrowed in thought. “I saw on the forum today that Sister Denisa is officially selling her works, so I wanted to come here and take a look.”

A flicker of concern crossed Joshua’s features. How had such an innocent elven girl stumbled upon those… writings?

Joshua himself had perused Sister Denise’s literary offerings. While two of the works bordered on the ‘unsettling’, the other two short stories embraced a path of gentle, fairy-tale-like healing.

He chose to believe that it was these latter tales that had drawn Tylene's interest.

“Regardless, Tylene, the next time you venture out, I strongly advise you to wear a mask or a veil.” Joshua’s gaze swept over her delicate features before adding, “And a hood.”

Looking ahead, Joshua considered the necessity of assigning Tylene a capable bodyguard for her future outings.

After all, while the threat posed by the Heresy Inquisitor might seem distant, it had not vanished entirely.

Upon hearing Joshua’s words, a worried expression clouded Tylene’s delicate features.

“Do you feel uncomfortable? It’s perfectly normal to experience this kind of distress,” Joshua reassured her.

“No, I’m not uncomfortable…” Tylene’s gaze drifted towards the library stairs. “It’s just that everyone rushed over with such enthusiasm, simply wanting me to write a short message with a pen. It didn’t seem like an unreasonable request.”

'So, she was actually feeling guilty?'

“The library today is primarily for the two nuns. If you were to go downstairs now, Norland would likely witness a massive influx of people rushing over.”

Joshua held unwavering confidence in the magic net’s rapid dissemination of information. After all, he was its creator.

“But I can arrange for you to meet your admirers in a more organized manner, or even hold a concert, as I mentioned previously.”

Joshua felt the time was right for her to showcase her talents to a wider audience.

Lately, his own workload had kept him occupied, leading him to allow Tylene to primarily sing lullabies and narrate stories through the Voice of Norland.

While her program consistently drew a respectable audience of around 70,000 listeners, these individuals also served as a steady source of ‘nourishment’ for the World Tree.

Yet, its growth rate, in Joshua's estimation, remained… too gradual.

The World Tree formed the very bedrock of the magic net. The construction of websites and future game servers alike all depended on its vitality.

Therefore, it was time for a catalyst.

“Concert? Is it similar to the performances given by human opera artists in the theater?”

“You can think of it as a theater performance, but on a scale ten times larger. Tens of thousands, perhaps even hundreds of thousands, of people will gather to hear your singing.” Joshua’s gaze drifted towards the library window, where the distant silhouette of the magic arena was visible. “That place would be exceptionally well-suited.”
“I think I need to practice.”

Tylene, her thoughts already turning to her craft, didn't seem to realize Joshua was asking for her opinion. Her trust in him was absolute.

“Practice is indeed necessary. Alongside that, there will be rehearsals and promotion. I’ll also compose a few new songs specifically for you.”

Given Joshua’s current influence within Norland, organizing a concert would be a relatively simple undertaking. His ultimate goal, however, was to stage a concert in Farucci.

But the success of the Norland concert was a crucial prerequisite.

    “Another new song?”

Joshua saw the spark of anticipation light up her eyes. For a singer, there was perhaps no greater joy than collaborating with a gifted lyricist and composer.

“I’ll even let you explore a change in your style. As for the books you desire, Tylene, please be patient for a little while longer. I’ll arrange for you to meet the author privately. Consider it an employee perk,” Joshua concluded.
