Jiang Fan had transmigrated to a world where everyone could awaken a planet.

The larger the planet, the higher the origin energy, and the stronger the civilization.

There were people who made theirs with qi to create a martial arts civilization. Everyone on the planet was a martial arts practitioner.

There were people who made theirs with magic power to create a magical civilization. Everyone on the planet was a mage.

There were people who made their spiritual energy to create an immortal civilization. Everyone on the planet was an immortal cultivator.

Everyone was trying their best to construct all sorts of extraordinary planets.

Jiang Fan, on the other hand, used his memories from his previous life to create a technological civilization!

“Your Star Destroyer directly pierced through the opponent’s planet, and the opponent lowered their head.”

“Your two-way foil turned the opponent’s immortal cultivation planet into a piece of paper. You scared them silly!” Collapse

A story I'd give a 2.5/5. An initially interesting premise reminiscent of Release That Witch or RTS games where the MC develops a never seen before technology-based civilization where he pits modern/futuristic weaponry against superpowered beings. All that potential is squandered for typical chinese cliche bullshit almost any time the story is focused on reality instead of MC's planet.

Get ready for the MC to be part of weakest littliest city, province, university, star realm, etc where he's dragged into arduously long tournaments and competitions that are hyped up to the heavens but actually don't mean a damn thing afterwards. There he can meet an endless horde of arrogant people who may or may not be young masters that constantly downplay the MC up until he face slaps them with rifles and artillery. More often than not, these people are centuries old but have the maturity of a child.

Also get ready for the MC to do absolutely nothing in these battles. While it's a smart idea to develop a more independent planet that can think for themselves, the degree of inaction during moments that actually matter is just ludicrous especially since the MC has his own deus ex machina, the Deduction System, where he can ask almost any question. I suppose it doesn't help that an overwhelming number of his opponents are exactly the same. Brute-type enemies that can do nothing but run in a straight line towards his troops to get shot up kilometres away.

Now that I've ragged on about many of the flaws, what's good about this novel? It's the development of MC's planet in my opinion. We read how the planet rapidly develops and sometimes skips through the ages up to and beyond modern day technology. Any sticklers for history might be put off since there are no doubt a bunch of illogical differences like certain technologies being developed too soon but I just personally handwave those as differences between this world and our own. There's also a spoof on the Three Kingdoms where your mileage may vary.

MC's planet also has some fantastical elements, most of which are pop culture references like Godzilla, Marvel comic's Vibranium and Pokemon. This is one of the aspects that make me struggle with whether I want to continue reading or not. For all the dumb crap that's in the real world, I also really want to see what new species and resources get introduced and how they play out in future battles. But then I look at my current arc that's over a hundred chapters long with MC fighting demons. (who could've imagined that would be a major antagonist in a chinese novel)

Anyways I've vented my feelings about this enough as it is. If you do end up reading, I recommend speedily skimming through any real life sections, especially the overly long tournament arcs that don't really matter in hindsight. Also don't get attached to any characters (how could you get attached? They all have the same personalities, either bland or arrogant, all of them irrelevant) as they also don't matter as MC leaves them behind. Also keep in mind the translated chapters are doubled for some ungodly reason. (chapter 360 is equivalent to chapter 166 in the MTL)

This translation is splitting 1 chapter into 3 part, only 150 chapter. There is translation in webnovel with over 340 chapter.

    Review from me:
This novel could become Cool Civilization Military P*rn, but the author forcefully chose the route of faceslap braindead plot. It's literally pity, author more focus on prolong the world count with face slap cliches moment, instead writing good story about military p*rn.

I found it quite interesting at the beginning, but it gets really bad.

For one, you've got illogical stuff in it. i.e. in one mission the employer hired several people in order to get a very valuable item, because he can't recover it by himself. The reward for this mission? Whoever gets the valuable item can keep it.

Another issue is that the story are basically 2 stories put together. One of the planet and one outside. The way this is done just doesn't feel right. The planet story kinda feels like filler as time moves faster there resulting in characters dying frequently. All the planet stories also feel very fast forward and have little depth.

Though by far the worst offender are garbage chapters. With this I don't mean filler, but literal chapters full of stuff noone cares about and where nothing is happening and oh my f#cking god did they become frequent!

We're currently at over 20 chapters for an examination involving 3 basic tests. One written and 2 that only involved a quick scan. There was no action whatsoever! The chapters are just full of utter garbage. Like one genius after another being introduced, with them (or others) talking about how much of a genius they're and how other geniuses (not the MC) are their only opponents. And chapters upon chapters upon chapters full of this garbage!

This novel just reminds me of that one episode from Rick and Morty where Rick’s car brake down. The main characters need to go into the car battery which contain a small universe and do some tinkering(basically telling the inhabitants of the universe to do what they’re told or get rekt). I may be nitpicking some elements but both just give off the same vibe. Planets are being developed and then exploited. Basically you are this almighty creator that tells these innocent people what to do and how to do it. Just not my cup of tea.

Supposedly the residents have an innate desire to worship and follow the commands of the planet master which isn't surprising since a planet master could instantly kill anyone with just a thought. MC's knowledge is still helpful for the beginning and he purposely nurtures the civilization to be independent since there's no way a teenager is going to be tactically smarter than a team of genius tacticians. Most other planet masters do the tactics themselves where the residents just blindly follow.

That doesn't mean the MC is useless since he's responsible for introducing new species and resources and nurturing the planet. It would be abundantly clear to any resident that the planet's growth and development is intrinsically linked to their god.

All that said, you're right to drop the series. It's a deeply flawed story filled with chinese cliches and drawn out tournament arcs. If you're curious the civilization meets parity with our Earth's technology at around chapter 180 for the MTL. That's 370+ for translated chapters because for some ungodly reason the translated split the chapters into multiple.
