This is one of the worst novels i have read in recent years. The author tried to make the whole Chinese mythology as a story and add an mc who is from the current era travel to that world as a different character. The problem is that the author completely fails at making it interesting. We get a huge info dump right from the start. The first 40-50 chapters are just mc “cultivating” for millions of years. Despite millions of years under the belt the mc and a lot of other people act like lunatics and idiots. The mc doesn’t do anything other than cultivating for a very long time(in terms of chapters not in novel years).

I wouldn’t have problems with the cultivation if it was interesting. Anytime there is some discussion about dao the author goes into a full bullshit mode. I have read about characters preaching dao in a lot of other novels. Although they sometimes are stupid, they at least have some meaning. Sometimes they are actually enjoyable to read. In this novel however the dao is basically bullshit. The author fails to even make proper sentences whenever this part comes up. He just uses random words in random sequences to try to make it mysterious but horribly fails.

The translation quality is bad, its not mtl bad but it comes close to “invisible dragon” bad. I lost a few brain cells reading this novel.
